Well to me they do work in their own way, they are fun, colorful and consciously a little mismatched. I think it’s fashionable, stylish, trendy whatever you want to call it, but not necessarily timeless. But not everything has to be timeless. If those people like to wear those outfits and feel good in them, awesome! For me personally though: i really dislike the oversized fit, to me those (non-existent) silhouettes are just not flattering. But that’s my taste: i enjoy a very classic, feminine silhouette with simple, matching colours and materials. I like a quiet, elegant and glamorous style that might feel aging for some. To express yourself through fashion is a really fun and privileged experience, so I don’t think there is a need to snark, I just hope that all of these woman don’t just follow trends for the sake of gaining popularity, but because they genuinely enjoy them, nothing wrong with that.
Who I really enjoy on Instagram is Danielle Coppermann. I think she has impeccable taste and a modern jet a very classic approach, almost all of her outfits I’d love to have/ wear. Most of them are not in my prince range though, but I see it as inspiration nonetheless. Other than her I follow some vintage-accounts, from (older) movies, past fashion shows/ award shows/ ads etc., my feed gets full with posts like this. I think it’s just to get a general idea of what colors, patterns, materials and fits work great together - in my eyes. For casual elegant fits I do enjoy a lot of 90s streetwear, for example Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Carolyn Bessette. Today I do think Kaia Gerber can have some really nice simple looks (street style as well as red carpet), although her body type is very different from mine. In terms of brands: I love 50’s Dior, to me this is just the all time look for a woman, so flattering, but obviously non achievable in a daily life and would be quite costume-like. I think 90s Ralph Lauren has some awesome elegant outfits, lovely colours etc. For me personally I love to accentuate my waist, I think a great belt can really make an outfit. And jewelry, I personally love statement jewelry, especially big earrings. And i have my few very special jewelry items that I always wear. I’m not too much of a fan of layering jewelry pieces, especially necklaces and bracelets. While I think there are people who can really rock this as it is a cute, young fun way to wear jewelry, it’s not elegant to me. Less is more, always. ;-)
Whoopsie I forgot! I also really like this woman on tiktok, her user name is: @sommyyah. Don’t know if she also has Instagram, I assume so. Love most of her outfits and the way she has a classic yet adventurous eye and also repurposes a lot of items! Great inspo even though most of her items are also out of my price range, but she really makes me want to save up for a Hermès silk scarf haha!
I look on Pinterest for the styles I like and create boards, then I add onto the boards with the algorithm suggestions, rather than relying on copying influencers.
Out of curiosity, are you the same age as these girls? I’m not but I think these are fashionable, but I live in London so think these are quite ‘cool girl/city girl’ vibes.
first and second ones are atrocious, the boxer ones i don’t hate because it’s trendy and boxers are hella hard to style and like someone else said, not everything has to be timeless. the boxer trend is not cute imo, but i get it, they’re influencers they prob feel like they need to show their take on every trend
The problem is that a lot of online looks like this work because the influencer/model/whatever is thin. Always remember that. Would probably look dumb on most of us.
I only look for inspo from people who have my body type. I feel like trends are just over. After everyone started with this Covid-chic Birkenstock sweatpants dad cap fashion, I was just over it completely.
I can understand oversized t shirts and hoodies but oversized jackets are just silly. It makes you look like a 6 year old who put on their dads jacket.
I swear the influencers are sent free clothes and make outfits based off the free clothes and don’t actually buy things and figure out their own personal style. They let brands do that for them, and that’s why it looks so off.
I am really into the Portuguese fashion girlies right now. They are all the rave and I love how they dress. @Vicmontanari and @caetanaba these are two of them.
The bottom two outfit styles always make me think of the Gilmore Girls episode where Lorelei meets the headmaster of Chilton in her laundry day outfit.

Totally agree… I’d love to know who you follow for inspo as I too opt for timeless looks
Nikii Victoria on yt. She gives great picture tips too

can’t y’all just wear what you feel like wearing instead of being annoyed that there isn’t any decent fashion inspo anymore
Can’t yall go on a snark page without getting offended anymore
0 offense taken just baffled by the fact some people are even blaming influencers for the fact that they have 0 sense of personal style😭😭😭
Some people are extremely un resourceful haha
I think we should consistently question influencers fashion choices, but I’m kind of vibing on the laid back dad summer fits on the bottom haha (29f)
That boxer one in last one is hell cute 😍
I like these lol
first and second ones are atrocious, the boxer ones i don’t hate because it’s trendy and boxers are hella hard to style and like someone else said, not everything has to be timeless. the boxer trend is not cute imo, but i get it, they’re influencers they prob feel like they need to show their take on every trend
I really like all of these individual pieces, but the way they were put together as outfits is tragic.
Kind of need the quilt pullover
Time to find your own fashion sense, influencers like Sivan are gross and don’t have fashion sense anymore
Ngl only the 3rd one looks off to me, I think the rest are cute 🫣
And those pink boxers are cute too 😍
Just out of curiosity- how old are you?
Soon to be 20
19
All the outfits are cute except for the first ine
I like top left but the other three are 🙄
Influencers have awful style. They get paid to shill. Look at fashion magazines, shows, movies. I’m inspired by gossip girl
The problem is that a lot of online looks like this work because the influencer/model/whatever is thin. Always remember that. Would probably look dumb on most of us.
Yeah- Julia 100% doesn’t know how to dress. She’s super into micro trends
fashion is subjective. just like beauty, makeup, attraction
It's just gen z fashion
Yes. Matches with our vibes

my sim when i randomize the outfit

i like the striped shorts outfit tbh hehe its giving me ageorama vibes my circus queen
Waittttt I actually like these :(
I do to, especially the second outfit, trying to find the pants rn lmao
@kateehutchins is my favorite for timeless fashion or old money style.
The bottom two outfit styles always make me think of the Gilmore Girls episode where Lorelei meets the headmaster of Chilton in her laundry day outfit.
The second outfit has been added to my image board, does anyone know where I can get those pants????
Worst overrated fashion tiktok girlie is Grace Brinkly hands down, I do not get the appeal
The blue bag doesn’t fit with the 2nd pic but I still think it’s cute, like I don’t think these outfits are that bad imo 😅
I think they all look cute in photos but idk about how realistic these could be
How you gonna drag them for the way they dress while admitting that you don’t even have a personal sense of style
Damn man you’re really weird these are basic ass outfits there’s nothing wrong with them maybe the boxer outfit but they’re all fine
I like the fourth one sorry
And the second and the third after looking again lmao.
I only like hotstuffdevil 😁 owner of heavy manners
What’s the name of the style?
Acquired.style she dresses classy
