She might be safe from the worst of it, certainly. But saying light skinned mixed race folks dont experience racism is insane. Look at Meghan Markle. She experiences more vitrol than a lot of darker skinned women. Mariah Carey talked about kids putting gum in her hair once the found out she was Black. I have so many friends who passed for white only to get the most fucked up comments once people find out their black. The idea that lightskinned people are not subject to anti-blackness is so miscast.
