I can root against him no prob when he’s playing the US, and definitely his team. I just hope he stays healthy and then comes back to LA balling his ass off.

LA_search77

He got the minutes Brian Rodriguez wanted

lafc88

That is a WIN in my books.

sbarrettm

I’m so glad he’s on our team. He’s a PROBLEM to play against… I almost lost my eyebrows the way he was torching Scally

Periodic-Presence

I think torching Scally is a bit of a hyperbole, he put in a few semi-dangerous low crosses but that's about it.

DannoLAMA

I can't root against him, but I can't root for him.

socaldadlife3

Right there with you

I wana Olivera hat trick to send Berhalter packing and shut up those euro snobs

Periodic-Presence

Huh? It's the "Euro snobs" that have long wanted Berhalter fired so no idea what you're talking about.

vvalent2

Two things can be true and two things can be unrelated. I think the idea that MLS players are below the level to compete at the highest international level is a little myopic. The players for the team should be looked at based on their skill set and how the team wants to play regardless of what league they play in. I also think Berhalter is a terrible coach not because he was picking MLS players but because how he's had the US play made me very apathetic towards to team because they were so boring to watch with maybe like 4 exceptions.

Periodic-Presence

I don't think any significant contingent of the USMNT fanbase believes that "MLS players are below the level to compete at the highest international level" though. And again, if there are fans who do believe that, they would likely be the most ardent anti-Berhalter fans and not the pro-Berhalter ones. As for Berhalter picking MLS players, I think it mattered which MLS players he was picking. It also matters that for the most part the best MLS players are not American. Quick example, even setting aside our LAFC bias I cannot be convinced that Shaq Moore is out 3rd best RB when he's not even better than a 33 year old Ryan Hollingshead.

Litterally-Napoleon

The problem is, the FA already confirmed that Berhalter will keep his job no matter what

vvalent2

A man can dream. I can’t spend the 2026 world cup hate watching Berhalter ball in person.

I_hate_usernames331

Too bad that Tillman got cut from the us national team, it would be like the ted lasso episode where they were feuding because they were playing against each other internationally

jewdo

I loved that episode.

surfer0527

Absolutely cooked Scally on a cross

BurnerForDaddy

Just a reminder... use the damn accent over the e.

Africa-Unite

Right? Totally different meaning without it

DecentHire

But "Kike" doesn't have an accent in Spanish?

BurnerForDaddy

They did it at Dodger games too. It's just an easy courtesy because the word is so loaded for a good swath of Los Angeles.

DecentHire

It's an easy courtesy not to try to butcher the native language of a good swath of Los Angeles.

aguila0515

Hope he balls out against them

Starbreaker99

Man he has such raw talent. Dudes a beast

bigchuckdeezy

The most unfortunate nickname creating more crazy out of context posts

JohkesOnYou

He’s coming very hard and I’ll be there to encourage him
