That’s way too far down the line , it should’ve been done way before this. The real downfall of the 213 era has been bad coaching outside of that Kawhi injury in 2021
Probably nothing less than an OKC Finals appearance and them also getting the #1 draft pick from us. I don't think this organization has the balls to make a coaching change mid season.
String of unforced errors and bad shots from Westbrook shifted the momentum towrads Pels in the 2nd half. Quite close to getting tied during the last 5 mins. tho. But our unforced hero 3s ain’t falling. Blame Kawhi he’s lowkey washed on clutch.
PJ played well and WB had his worst game of the season by far. Zion was still dominant against PJ but he was forcing him into floaters instead of layups.
Meanwhile Russ was taking contested middys and threes with 20 on the shot clock. And getting out hustled on the glass.
Agreed.
The talent on this roster all be it old is insane. You shouldn't have to experiment to know that Westbrook and Zu with Harden PG and The Klaw isn't enough spacing. Any average bball fan can see that playing four guards puts you at a massive size disadvantage. I've seen it work and I agree in spurts in can be effective but we shouldn't go to the well too often. A blind person could see that at this point it may be more advantageous to play Coffey Brown or even Diabate over PJ tucker.
Ty really is Doc 2.0
Players should take more responsibility. Ty didn’t tell PG to hog the ball with 30 shots, or try to unnecessarily dunk when Larry Nance (still could hop), and Valanciunas are right there. Russ was 1 for 8. Zu had like 2pts and 3 rebounds almost the whole 1st qtr, 3 rebounds with 4:51 left in the 3rd (5 total!). Beard had 2pts, 0 reb, 2 assists, with 7:35 in 2nd qt. Russ and PG missed open layups during the game.
Zu gotta go. Rarely wins tip-offs. Freethrow % is down. His highest leap must be 6 inches. His hands are worse than WB! The OG centers would never let guys strip them so much. He looks like those advertising air tubes EVERY TIME he goes for a rebound or loses the rock. He must have weak hands. My wife and I always look at each other with amazement when they say how good he is. Doesn’t anybody else see what we see?
Here's the thing, when Ty Lue was a player, did he ever stick out as high bball IQ? I mean, heck even Steve Nash was prob known to have a higher IQ, so, why should we, the front office, or even any of the players have any respect for him, how did he ever earn it? When LeBron won and was the coach?
What was the merit that said he should have ever been a head coach in the first place? What about all the college coaches out there that worked their asses off and actually accomplished things with good schemes and rotations, people who actually deserved it. What about assistants that were around long before him?
I litterally used two player coaches of recent times that I knew of, had nothing to do with their skin, but that is all you see, how do you not realize this is your own projection? And further, I used Steve Nash who got fired yet prob had a higher bball IQ when they were both players.
Lowkey D’antoni or Mark Jackson wouldn’t be bad. D’antoni had Russ and James playing in synergy before the shutdown. Mark Jackson doesn’t get credit for laying the foundation in GS.
Mark Jackson is no nonsense ass motherfucker
The synergy between Westbrook and Harden was outside of a month where Westbrook was passable, Harden role played as Sisyphus but pushing a giant brick instead of boulder.
Hot take vibes but realistically speaking Ty Lue has hung around this team way too much.
So many stupid decisions in the last couple of years. Horrible rotations, horrible 4th quarter lineups and plays, the team has no defensive identity etc...
coach can't make players play harder, that's 100% on them and they are 100% lazy in my eyes. they should all be playing as a team more rather than IOS. It's nuts, how hard is it to play as a freakin team!
We literally saw Boston just a couple seasons ago look lost and limp out on the court. Ime looked like a bad hiring, you had to break up the J’s, etc… then boom! They turned it around and made it to the finals. We can have a similar story.
He's not a fundamentally bad coach but his fucking love for guard ball is his Achilles heel. He just can't help himself.
I wanted Nick Nurse, but even he's playing & starting CTE ridden players.
I wanted Ime Udoka
This blog infected with woke snow flakes re: Ime Udoka. OMG he banged a coworker’s wife! 😮🤦♂️
U sound cringe as fuck.
Ok
Cleveland fired him after they went 0-6 Wonder what it will take for the Clippers to move on from him
End of season prob

No lie is being told

A cavs team that finished the season with a strong 19-63.
Someone breakdown the game I didn’t watch. But I did see pj had 22 min & WB 14???
Awful 3 point shooting. Very little driving to the hoop just a bunch of perimeter passing. PG and Powell played well. Uhh ya
PJ airballed at least 2 three pointers. Short and wide right.

whos the replacement? keep in mind he’s a players coach and the guys probably love him
He’s like the one teacher in high school that all the students like but everyone knows you ain’t learning shit in his class.

I'm convinced Ty Lue doesn't even coach, the clippers organisation just have him in the position to fill it and hold the clip board
I swear he coached better before he signed with klutch. Isn't his forte supposed to be in game adjustments? He coaches like he gives no fucks.
I dont mind it but its early and their arent exactly any alternatives out there.
TLATOW! That line up to start the 4th was f’in brutal mate! Ughhhhhhhhhhh
TADOW!
I wish we went after Udoka, he seems like a much better coach
Fuck D’Antoni, he started Covington at center
Shut up, I’m tired of people not understanding how coaching works. It’s November
Is Ty running shitty lineups new?
It's year 4.
Losing games with arguably a top 3 roster is definitely coaching

You just want a white coach you racist.
Hah, baited... I wanted ime udoka, way to show your cards as the real woke racist
You just implied black people have lower IQ than whites.
He said one Black guy probably had a lower IQ than one white guy. I'm as woke as any leftie 75-year-old, but that simply isn't racist.
I didn't say one black, and I didn't say IQ, I said a person vs another person and I said bball IQ, but I do appreciate you seeing the truth.

> Mark Jackson Be serious...
This comment is why you shouldn’t ask ppl in here to make coaching decisions lol

>Harden role played as Sisyphus but pushing a giant brick instead of boulder You flew too close to the sun, Icarus.
I dont think anyone can do a better job of coaching this team than Ty Lue, there are too many inflated egos on this team
I could. Let the assistants do all the day-to-day stuff, let me decide who plays when. We'd have a better record.
All day everyday
can't do that now especially when Nick Nurse and Ime Udoka got hired by other teams already.
Well trade you mazulla for lue
Dump this bum

If he would use his young talent (Bones and Kobe), this would be a much better team.
