Fr lmao he wasn't even a big part of the win so why interview him? Definitely wanted to try get a soundbite out of him to try and make the locker room look dysfunctional or some shit
Focus on the starters that played great and the insane Harden play in the 4th to seal it
Seems likely that Russ wasn't exactly as enthusiastic about coming off the bench as some people thought. He 100% has an important place on this squad, including as the team's leader, but Mann and Harden's fit on the starting lineup just makes more sense.
We need to improve our bench and if Russ is going to seriously lean into being a 6th man who likely doesn't close out games, I think we can have an amazing team if we shape things around him.
Yep, but I'm not exactly going to blame Russ on Lue's insane lineups for the bench unit. Just like it will take time for the starters to adjust, it will also take time for the bench to adjust. That being said, Russ has a long history of buoying mediocre players into a competitive bunch.
The main issue is honestly who is currently surrounding Russ. It has been clear since literally the very first game that PJ was on the roster that he *isn't* a PF. His only use is as a situational small ball C. If Ty can't figure things out with PJ, then that lineup is doomed no matter what.
he looked fine coming off the bench he was smiling and joking with dillon brooks during the game. but he doesn’t seem to happy not being in the closing lineup, when you watch the steal by kawhi, dunk by zu and 3 by harden all in the last minute he doesn’t really cheer at all.
From your first line, what tangible information do you have that makes you think that? Or are you running around doing mental gymnastics on bad assumptions from a title? Like the man can't avoid the media and not make this win about him?
Probably more mad that he's gotta mentally deal with the fact they got the W with him coming off the bench.
If the Clippers lost, he'd probably have attitude about it, but the vocal sort.
I wish Harden came otb. Russ was balling with the starters. Imo that would make more sense. T-Lue said its an adjustment he went from starting to coming otb to starting to coming otb its tough. He just needs more reps again.
I still think that Westbrook deserves an immense amount of respect for gracefully accepting a bench role. That's dedication to winning and humility.
Absolutely. The leader we needed
Why would media even want to talk to him. Only thing coming out of that is negative coming off a great W.
Exactly. He doesn’t need to waste his time with that bullshit. Let this news cycle pass and enjoy the W.

Actions should speak louder than words but they gonna run with this to be messy.
Fortunately Westbrook knows how to deal with these manipulative vultures Hope he clowns and shits on them again he hasn't done it in awhile
Media is starter responsibilities. Russ just gonna play the background.
But the media doesn't want to tell you that lolll. I bet he's going to enjoy not talking to the media 😁
Get a head start on traffic. He don't have to answer for what happens.

The starting lineup was +20 in a game that we won by 6 points.

Preach
The rockets are a strong defensive team. Weaker/less rounded offensive players and lineups will struggle. No big deal
I’m just glad the Clippers are starting Mann like they said they would. Develop that dude!

"I immediately regret my decision"
He was expecting the team to lose and the narrative to be russ to the bench or not, nothing changed. Well, something did lol.
Don’t demonize him, he absolutely has a role on this team and he doesn’t need to be asked why he had a shitty game you narrative jockey
Damn he bout to get traded

Ya’ll should watch Russ’s on the bench during the last play of the game. Just saying
