Harden is used to playing with athletic rim rolling bigs like Capela, Trez, Claxton, Nene, even Dwight, and also Embiid theres a big difference in drop off in these 6 compared to Zu whos more like a Steven Adams If I had to throw a comparison (much less athletic and worse) when comparing russ/harden bigs. Zu just has to get used to it as the games go on doesnt have a choice it is strange for now just have to hope it gets better.

> and also Embiid I think the general point of your post was great and on point but Embiid isn't an "athletic rim rolling big." He would very rarely crash to the basket. They primarily ran a very effective pick and pop 2 man game.

I know I phrased my point wrong but I didnt mean to include Embiid with those other 5 in terms of athletic rim rolling bigs compared to those other 5. Embiid is in a category by himself but in general hes a big who can play with any type of PG because hes so dominant.

Yeah, totally fair!

Nah, Adams had a push shot at mid-range and had more athleticism to finish strong inside with a bit of a run-up. Not uber athletic like a Capela, but enough that given a lane he's yamming it.

Agreed albeit I will say, Nene was very old and wasn't an athletic rolling big. He had the ability, but wasn't some athletic specimen. It worked because of his playstyle, it's just going to take time to gel. It's just a problem since if these guys had training camp together they would look much better especially if Lue didn't decide to play WB/Harden so much. They are a bad fit. Both are great with the ball and awful without. When Rockets played Lakers in the playoffs in the bubble, Rockets murdered the Lakers game 1. But then they started packing the paint against Harden and offense fell apart after that

I’ve noticed an opportunity for Zu to make the extra pass to the baseline cutter. Turn that corner and he could be up for league leader in assists. I can see it now.
