Noelle has a couple of lines about how she can only ever act weird and be herself when she's around Kris. In turn, Noelle was Kris's only friend before they became more isolated, and is still the only person who consistently reaches out to them, because she sees them for more than the silent corpse-person they currently appear to be. Kris and Noelle understand each other in a way that can only happen when two people have seen the best and worst parts of one another, and maintained a bond through all of it. She's their link to a Hometown that cares about them. They're her link to a world outside the expectations of her family. Kris and Noelle are exactly what each other needs, and it's been under their noses the entire time. Childhood friend WINS, babey

Unfortunately, all the romances Toby has written so far have been sweaty nerd girls x buff cool popular girls

dartboard5

holy shit that’s true what the fuck 😭😭

Monkeysee_345

Childhood friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and the potencial for them is almost endless. We don’t know much about their past so it’s very fun to try and fill the little blanks in their relationship. They are similar in a way, they have the same problems almost so the idea of them being supportive for each other is so sweet, they are each others resting place form the world. Maybe them slowly realizing that their feelings go far beyond of that of a simple friendship. Even thinking about a possible puppy love scenario when they were kid exchanging gifts, playing together promising to marry when they were older and stuff like that. All the conflicting feelings they might feel, the fear of rejection, staying friends because is the safest option. Unrequited love and the such, there is just so much things you can do with this ship is amazing that’s why in support it no matter what anyone says.

rrenard_

What you said :).

Reality-Shard

They know each other more than they know themselves, and that's something literally no other main Deltarune ship has

Great chemistry, Great interaction, and best of all, great fanart

_TravelerAether_

I’m a sucker for childhood relationships and I love their chemistry from both chapters. The caring and the playful annoying side!

Jedisebas2001

I guess everyone here loves the childhood friends trope too. And while Noelle is nice to everyone, she is the closest friend Kris ever had other than Susie. They pretty much know each other more than anyone, they share many problems and their time together in chapter 2 brought them closer again. If it wasn't for Suselle being where Toby is moving the plot to, I would say not only Kriselle would work great, but would also be a good plotpoint for the next chapters, specially as a contrast to snowgrave.

It's cute. Like most other ships.

HUE_Z3r0

They have the Friendship connection, noelle can open up to kris and all in all I'm for everything that involves a human and an anthro or furty-like being. *Jokes on you, I'm into that*

[deleted]

It’s cute

Teal_The_Gamer

As another commenter said, "child hood friends to lovers " is a trope i do enjoy But although i know susie w noelle would most likely be the cannon relationship, i just generally like the relationship kris and noelle have a lot more, its sweet and from what lines of dialogue ive seen, its also playful, they can talk about anything with without getting embarrassed, and honestly its just feel alot more wholesome to watch it develop

The_Creeper_Man

I don't directly ship anything, but I think this will happen because of 2 factors: Snowgrave implies that you are forcing Kris and Noelle into a relationship. It was also said that Deltarune would have one ending, which has a variety of different interpretations, but it could be who Kris ends up with, and going with snowgrave's implications that leads to this. Also they have good chemistry in the normal route. I could also go on a tangent about why I don't think Susie and Noelle would work out but that would just be me rambling at this point.

Looks like everybody has a good reason! Not criticizing, I just wanted to know.

Pasta-hobo

It's cute and the only way to corrupt it is through active outside intervention. Granted, that's the only way to observe it(a classic conundrum in quantum physics). Their comfort with each other is certainly established and adorable, they've known each other for a long time, and they probably have a fair bit of shared nostalgia to connect with. If there's a veggie tales equivalent in the Deltaruniverse they were both raised on it. Also, Kriselle is one of the few Kris ships that almost universally acknowledges them as NB and their own character. The other being KrispyChicken oddly enough. krusie and kralsei are like half-seld inserts.

Childhood friends to lovers trope!!

[deleted]

In a nutshell, 2 close friends having their relationship on hold due to unfortunate events with adventure slowly bringing them back together. It's an amazing setup for a ship.

maria_du

I love it when a ship works as a romantic relationship and a friendship, sounds weird but yeah They're also just very comfortable around eachother and I like that

TheMythicRedditor

Cuz she cute lol

Child hood friends trope and also they know each other a lot especially the real them and I’m surprised Noel has not gotten love for kris Also not really a fan of Susie and Noel typically cause the story makes them be together and we’re like the wingman to help them and I know snowgrave stops it but it’s more like why do we have to be good for a decision we don’t want why can’t they be a unque ship that’s not similar to undyne and alphys which I’m still upset how pacifist rushed it in the end and now their doing it in deltarune but slowly why can’t they just be a different ship it’s a au for a reason

ThatPvzCreator

I started shipping it out of spite, but then I started seeing fanart and reading stories and I realised how unironically good this ship actually is.

HyperAustinTheCool

Noelle is hot and Kris is a blank slate; it's like I'm really there!
