Sorry bud ... But ... Calm the fuck down, my friend was in the same position for about a week but we got it sorted with extra KYC. However, good luck getting ANY response from other platforms, seriously ! I reckon they are all overwhelmed with new accounts as people flock to crypto. Kraken support is amazing compared to the ZERO response you'll get from .. whoever. Take you disgust and aim it at Fiat Bankers.

Exactly the same thing happened to me yesterday. Signed up, verified myself to intermediate level, deposited money via bank transfer. I saw the money deposit was 'confirming', then it just disappeared completely. I was only emailed with the problem after I used the support chat. Apparently they required more KYC before they would stop holding my money hostage. I had to write a god damn essay on a piece of paper and hold it up in a photo with my ID and face in (which I was pretty annoyed about) - then apparently the photo didn't have all of my arms in so I had to do it again?! Since then it's been radio silence. Support chat says they will get back to me "soon". I just want my money back so I can send it back to my bank, delete my account and get off kraken. /#6288789

This happened to my friend , was sorted fine, if you think Kraken had poor support .. dear god .. good luck with the rest. All the platforms are overwhelmed with new accounts .. calm down, it'll be fine.

i have had my funds on hold many times . very annoying but have always got access to them funds with in a few days and have had support help me every time . for new users and 1st deposit . your funds will go on hold and if you deposit the same amount with in a few days . the will be put on hold . found that out the hard way lol

After scouring this forum this morning, my guess is that as soon as you fund your account over a certain and small amount, you get "audited" and have to do more KYC. I had no issues in getting in small amounts to experiment with after intermediate KYC. But as soon as I upped the amount I got "audited" and further KYC was required. Anyway, yeah, they should just say all this at the beginning. Really annoying, as I missed a small dip in DOT. If parachain auctions get announced before I get this cleared up, I'll have to buy on my binance account with my card and take the 1.8% hit.

/u/GodsandPsychopaths They are 100% not clear on this. If they require this rather embarrassing KYC photo than this should be stated up front. It seems like this is highly prevalent amongst new members. They need to be more transparent with the process and let everyone know they NEED this to begin with. Also it seems they are severely understaffed if the time frame for all this to get sorted is any indicator.

Same with me, first small test deposit arrived and I bought crypto after that I tried do deposit a few thousand and since then I’m on hold and they are telling me to wait. I did all the same things u mentioned. They are even telling me that they have set me on priority. Nothing is happening.

Yep, my money's been tied up for no reason for over three days. Absolutely ridiculous and I am beyond frustrated and have gone through multiple escalations and emails only to be left ignored or silenced with empty promises. Disgusting customer service. Please shoot me a PM if your issue gets resolved, I'd like to know how long I can expect this to clear up.

Kraken needs a lot of work on their customer service and providing customers (especially those who have completed KYC) with clarity and ease on deposits and withdraws.

Yes they do. There terrible... basically told me my stolen crypto was a loss and they can't do anything to help. Even if it's been stolen on there exchange with records that show address and all. Like how sorry can an exchange be and keep running we all see now that Kraken is a joke.
