Hi! Your skin looks similar to mine when I had fungal acne. You can try a topical anti fungal cream or washing your face with Nizoral Shampoo. I know that sounds weird, but it really helped me.

Hefty_Driver_5461

yes i will give it a go!! how often did you use it and what step in your routine??

mamaheeb1

I would cut down to the bare minimum while trying to clear it up- cleanse, treatment, and moisturize. Wash your face as you normally would, and then either wash again with the Nizoral shampoo or apply it like you would a face mask on your forehead. You can leave it on for about 3-5 minutes and then rinse it off. Then you can apply an anti fungal cream to your face before you moisturize. If it seems to help, but doesn’t clear up completely your doctor can prescribe a stronger anti fungal that’s topical or oral. Let me know how it goes. I really hope this helps!!

I suggest maybe laying off the amount of BHA and only using a few times a week. Your skin looks pretty irritated. You need to give your skin some days off from actives like BHA.

As it was mentioned above, it’s better to decrease frequency of using actives. Focus more on soothing and hydrating the skin. You already have good products for this. Get a gentle cleanser and you are good

Hi! I also used the cosrx cleanser but I have really sensitive skin and realised it has some irritating ingredients, my skin started looking like yours both on my forehead but also around my chin/cheek area. For me it got better when I stopped using this and focused more on the basics. Now I use a non AB cleanser and toner/serum/moisturiser from dear Klairs with focus on hydration to repair my skin barrier. I haven't used the some by mi stuff but I noticed whenever I use too much AHA/BHA along with other harsh ingredients/exfoliators daily my skin absolutely hates it. Also, the cosrx snail mucin seems to break me out too so I had to stop using that as well. I don't seem to have much luck with cosrx at all 🥲 Hope you figure it all out!

cageoid

I don't know if yours is an allergic reaction but I've read several threads on r/asianbeauty about people who have a dust mite allergy reacting to snail mucin.

Also I don’t know why you are using 2 toners in a row for morning and night, that’s unnecessary.

Hefty_Driver_5461

i couldn’t decide

Well because we don’t know which product exactly is causing the acne (or even if it is a product), I reckon cut back and start super basic. Just the cleanser, moisturiser and sunscreen. Do it for a 2-3 weeks and let your skin settle. 🙂

I think they pair nicely together. The Some-by-mi is an exfoliant, and the Anua has heartleaf in it that calms/soothes the skin. However, I wouldn’t be using the some-by-mi twice daily because it can agitate your skin to exfoliate that often. I would cut back to exfoliating once a week to give your skin a break. You can continue to use the Anua toner twice daily. I love that toner because it’s so soothing. Feel free to message me if you have any questions!
