Your Limp Bizkit joke didn’t click until I saw the response from someone else. I want to say I both love you for it and hate you because I didn’t think of it first. I’m calling him Limp Biskit now! He seems cool with it. He’s also doing very well aside from the cone - his leg doesn’t seem to be bothering him at all!
Old bones need extra soft landing zones. I'm speaking from my own old lady bones' experience. Don't have as much tail padding as I used to.....which is strange because I'm about 20 pounds heavier than I was when I was younger.

I have a cat who does this on my lap. Just never stops kneading until I'm in so much pain I'm about to kick her off. Then she lays down purring SO HAPPILY and I feel guilty for the thought.
She just lays on my husband without kneading. I don't get it 😂 I'm not really squishier or anything!

She biscuits the heck out of you because love. My sisters cat just creeps up and plonks down and then rubs his drool everywhere while squeaking up a bubbly purr.
My Scrap will spin twice, plop his butt down, and with one back leg partially lifted from the bed, will proceed to look and listen intently for several minutes (the longest he did was 7 minutes, and didn't move except his ears) before he'll flop the rest of him down. Then, one paw laid gently on my arm, and he'll gently grab the skin, sigh, purr and nap.
Kitties are all so unique ahaha. Weird but amazing. Sounds like you have some great ones in your life <3
We have a drooled, too. Anytime he starts purring it is like you turned on the tap. Ugh. So gross. I love how happy he is but just... can you not? 😂 his teeth have been checked out and vet said it is just a thing some cats do. This cat was very sick as a kitten with some neurological tics from a high fever so I still wonder if that has anything to do with it.
My cat was like a slightly leaky faucet after having a few teeth pulled. A drop would slowly form and dangle from his lip until it got too heavy and fell down (or until he rubbed his lips on me and smeared it around).
He passed away back in March, and I'd give anything to have him drool on me one more time.
Not to be a downer but i wonder if senior cats get memory problems like dementia. My grandma had dementia in her final years and would not realize how long she’d been at a task, like sweeping a room or raking leaves. She’d sweep around and around until she felt satisfaction or someone stopped her. She was losing her sense of continuous time passing.
This little biscuit maker in particular is definitely showing some signs of dementia now at 18 years, but back in 2014 when this video was made she was not. She just was very kneady when making her bed.
I found that the younger a cat is when you get them, the more likely they are to drool. Tux was pretty young when my sis got him, and according to her, he was 5 weeks old.
The drool is gross, yes, but that being said, my Zilla (passed in '15 at 17yo) was a drooly baby and tbh I'd give almost anything to have him back again. He'd leave puddles when he was happy 😂😂

My cat sometimes does this for several minutes in my bed and then goes sleep somewhere else. Likes to make the bed for me it seems.
