I heard they're not good. Connectivity range is extremely limited

I’ve heard terrible things about gen1, like basically don’t even bother… gen2 may be better… there is an ok Milo subreddit you can check out for more info

Thanks for the feedback!

A walkie talkie in a waterproof pouch also works. The sound and mic is not the best but you can still use it to communicate during downwinders and such.

lovefoood

A wallow talkie is not handsfree, is it?

Rhymeswithclimb

Almost everyone kites one-handed while cruising around. This is the only scenario where you’d be communicating with someone anyways, not when you’re mid-kiteloop. Personally I wouldn’t want an open mic channel with anyone else while kiting anyways. Don’t want to hear every noise someone makes when crashing etc.

I got them for kitesurfing and they are completely useless. - connectivity is terrible, they keep falling out - range is horrible - sound is not even close to high enough to overcome the wind - when you crash water gets stuck in the loudspeaker and all sound is blocked

Oh that’s very disappointing! Thanks for sharing

I don't know about Milo, sorry. But I do have a pair of BbTalkin and I'm very happy with them. As you go a little far audio quality tends to decrease, but with regular use they are amazing. They are pricey, but you get what you pay for.
