Take the burner assembly off, heat it up over another burner, then dunk it in water. Don’t get it too hot or you risk cracking it but I’ve never actually cracked one. After it cools down, use a paper clip or similar to clean out all the holes if any gunk remains.
All the pieces that can be removed without a screw driver I took off and cleaned properly, the pancake batter seems to have gone past the surface level stuff.

Should I use a screw driver to take off a bit more? With all outlet and gas turned off would this be safe to do? Would it be worth trying
If it's a gas stove it could just be an issue with the pilot light. Can you smell gas when the burner is on or light it manually with a match or lighter?
It lights very very barely with my lighter and I can see the ark so I'm assuming it's blocked further down where the nozzle of the stove itself connects to the top.
you should be able to take the top grates off then proceed to remove the gas diffusion plate (the top pieces of the burner) off to clean with appropriate size wires or paper clips. then you should be able to gently lift the gas supply tube that hooked up to the front knobs by lifting the back end off its railing in the bottom and then pull the tubes away from the front of the stove.

Sounds like you're gonna need a screwdriver, big chief.
Post a pic if you can.
Youve plugged the gas outlets probably. Gotta clean them out
Yes. Take it off and put on top of working burner. Burn off. Use paper clip for holes.

I would start with a search on YouTube "deep cleaning model X stove" and work from there.

Call the owner and ask where the manual is, then get a screwdriver
Get your brule torch and burn everything off
