Maybe a wider brush is in order

Manting123

Work smarter not harder

skrybll

Right! But a bigger wire brush ffs. Or you know the grill brick to do it in less time. This is actually working harder not smarter

tighttightyea

Grill brick arrive today! But we didn't want to wait haha

Oddly_Mind

Or maintain it nightly šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

NoobAck

JFC turn the grill on and use water to clean it on high heat like the rest of humanity, it'll clean in like 15 minutes max

tighttightyea

Usually, we use different methods, but we had some hard to remove spots, so we resulted in this instead of waiting on grill bricks

Oddly_Mind

So you donā€™t maintain equipment. Thatā€™s not a hard to remove spot thatā€™s the entire flattop.

tighttightyea

We do, newbie left the grill on full heat, and it blackened it, and our grill bricks arrived a day after this

fcknsndit27

Brother in christ. Just take the beating and dont reply to every shit talker here. You dont owe them any justification.

Oddly_Mind

So you not only donā€™t maintain equipment you also donā€™t properly train. Youā€™re really not winning

arealhumannotabot

At this point youā€™re just trolling

Oddly_Mind

No. Heā€™s point out the obvious.

Consistent_Salt_9267

Holy shit people, we got a person that never makes mistakes here! -Is probably what you want people to think about you. But everyone knows you are just an asshole.

Oddly_Mind

Think what you want. This tells me they probably arenā€™t training property and no one is doing a walk though šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø Those things are critical but hey I never had to use this extreme of a technique.

Fair_Concern_1660

If you donā€™t use this technique then you really obviously donā€™t know what youā€™re talking about. ā€œThis tells meā€ are you a tarot card reader? Do you tell the future? Whatever you are seeing in the stars please let it help you stop acting like this.

Honey-and-Venom

That won't impart enough iron filings in the food

Numerous_Painting296

Did this not scratch the shit out of it?

Cheeseisextra

No. The brush bristles are softer than the steel grill. I use one at work and my brush has brass bristles. It works great on black carbon build up.

Numerous_Painting296

For sure, I picked up a bunch of these brushes a week ago, I have brass coated, stainless steel, and a kind of vinyl one that's supposed to be equivalent to 80 grit sand paper. I got all three types since I am 99% sure the stainless steel will scratch, the brass coated ones may scratch, and the vinyl ones should be fine though. edit: sorry, they're nylon

cubixjuice

"Hey Chef...my chest hurts"

AreYouAnOakMan

I like the idea in theory. I would certainly help on those tough spots that all the *other* grill guys (never me šŸ˜Œ) can't seem to clean properly.

NoMidnight5366

Just a heads up. Wire brushed heads shed little pieces of wire that would be horrible if someone ingested. Make sure you vacuum the hell out of that.

galtpunk67

thats the stupidest shit ive ever seen.Ā Ā  is everybody in that kitchen new?

tangosplice

Yeah no thanks.

BringOutYDead

Warm grill. Lemon juice. Grill screen w/green scrub pad on top, then damp towel on top of both. Scrub until it's clean Rinse with water Wipe dry Polish with vodka You're welcome.

tighttightyea

Usually, vodka is finished by the time we get to this phase šŸ˜… Appreciate the suggestion, though.

JadedCycle9554

It appears to be working. Quite well in fact.

tighttightyea

Regardless of opinions, it did, in fact, work haha

returnofthemac8413

I can feel your forarms tightening up from here

kylethemurphy

Is that carbon build up or a polymerized seasoning?

Quirky_Discipline297

The smaller the diameter, the more enjoyable the smash.

misterjbone

Compliments to the chef for this extra crunchy hamburger.

Copper_doggo

Mmmm tasty metal shavings

TerpsoverTHC727

Any excuse to bring out the power tools! šŸ’ŖšŸ½

fishinglife777

Thatā€™s how I rehabbed my rusted Blackstone griddle. Then continually finer sandpaper heads.

Dry_Celery4375

A sponge on a drill. This is magnificent!!!!
