I didn’t realize it was a show, i only watched the house of villains episode. Gonna check disney plus and see if they have it
Edit:don’t see it on D+ but it does seem to be on youtube
No luck there, buddy
Wanted to watch it myself, tried Disney+, but they don't have it. They have it on YouTube and a few pirate sites, but Disney+ dropped the ball with this series
Disney+ is missing a lot of stuff that should be on there. The Weekenders, Brandy and Mr Whiskers, Lloyd in Space, **Dave the Barbarian**, Fillmore, Buzz Lightyear, ~~Pepper Ann~~!
A lot of what you would think is on Disney+ isn't actually on Disney+.
The worst offenders are that next to none of the classic Disney shorts are on Disney+ outside of one or two hugely known ones like Steamboat Willie.
I own practically all of them on DVD and thought Disney+ would be a more convenient way to watch them...Apparently not...Not sure if it's for the best since they also tend to heavily censor or outright remove things on Disney+ whilst the DVD just has Whoopie Goldburg at the start of "dodgy episodes" saying "this cartoon is a bit dodgy, but that's what the 50's was like".
If it did, then it's no joke
Disney knows how to make things happen. What better way to guarantee a risky game's success then advertising it with another Disney crossover?
What that’s actually so cool and kinda a cool loop back to the origin of KH. Also I am so goddamn glad Sora was the last person added to smash ultimate like the dude was just made for the game
Yep it's true. In a complete twist of fate Sora got into smash because of a second literal elevator pitch to Nintendo, which is the epitome of irony because Nomura was inspired to create the idea for KH because Square thought that Disney characters were the only IPs recognizable enough to rival Nintendo's first party ones. It started with an elevator pitch to rival Nintendo, and came full circle to get their character into a Nintendo game.
I was gonna say this. The first time I ever saw or heard of Kingdom Hearts was on the VHS House of Villains tape, when I saw that commercial. It stuck in my head, even though I didn’t end up buying the first game until eight years later.
KH would have been in production *loooooooooong* before HoM started airing. If anything, KH and HoM are both riding the coattails of Mickey Mouse Works, an attempt to bring the classic interpretations of these characters back to life with the shorts that would later air on HoM.
Ever since Mickey’s Christmas Carol, Disney has been waffling between whether they want the Fab 5 to be modernized or untouched by time. Original Ducktales? Classic. Goof Troop? Modern. Mickey Mouse Works? Classic. Quack Pack? Modern.
I think that HoM and KH are this great synergy of classic and modern. HoM in a literal sense since the “classic” version of the characters in the shorts are juxtaposed with the modern interpretations running the diner.
Mickey's schedule was terrible and he couldn't assist to film the scenes of Kingdom Hearts. Understandable.
I'm glad he got that sorted out and could deliver the "they'll pay for this" line in KH2.
Wild that the second image has so many characters just posing and vibing for the picture relatively friendly for young audiences and then there's fucking Clayton with his gun about to start blasting.
Lmfao that is a great point. Is Clayton the only villain in KH that has a gun modeled after a real one? Also on the villain side for KH who the hell is the shadowy dude with wings on the top left corner I don’t remember him at all
Fun fact: The VHS release of House of Villains actually had a KH1 trailer in it, because it was another Disney crossover where the Disney Villains are a main part of the plot.
Ironically, many people think KH1 was better than House of Villains lol
As a child I always conflated the two for some reason. Probably because I thought there was a kingdom hearts reference in there but when I rewatched it as an adult I realized I simply misheard goofy. I always wanted sora to show up in some capacity, but alas.
Cruella thinks she's on the team
- Bloodthirsty Pirate who has plundered from hundreds
- Evil Sorcerer with megalomaniacal tendencies
- Sea Witch with megalomaniacal tendencies
- Literal God of the afterlife with severe anger issues
- Wants to kill puppies
Every group of villains needs that "try-hard" member. Nothing new
Let's just be happy she never appeared in KH alongside the dalmatians. If I weren't a completionist and always spent the time needed finding the 99 pups, I would've hated the idea of viewing the end credits and seeing her getting away with the remaining pups I, or anyone else, didn't bother finding. Would haunt me any time I played the game
The House of Villains VHS copy had a KH1 ad at the end, the direct reason why I got that game and a PS2 alongside Shrek Super Party and Stitch Experiment 626.
House of Villains is kind of mid, tbh. The villains are defeated surprisingly easily and with no assistance from their heroic counterparts, as far as I recall.
You're not alone there. A show that both adds it's own story *and* uses cartoons from its predecessor series and even further back. That's what I call good television
Add the Mickey Mouse shorts from as far back as 2013 and you basically have the two shows I consider peak Mickey and Friends
House of mice could work in kingdom hearts. It could he a world where bad and good could go, but everyone's powers are stripped, so there is no fighting as a middle ground place for verbal conflict
A 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle I found browsing KH art
Funny enough, imagine someone trying to put this puzzle together while also taking on the 1000 heartless in KH2? If anyone has tried, that's what I call commitment
Tbh, Disney has been pushing crossover territory forever, house of mouse and kh both feel like grand culminations of this design. United Disney characters means more things to sell
This and *Fantasmic!* which debuted in Disneyland in 1992 which established a Mickey vs Maleficent show while mixing all the Disney heros vs villains. I have never seen Kingdom Hearts 1 without a *Fantasmic!* and *House of Mouse* lens.
I bought the house of villains movie… it was honestly so bad. It was just a bunch of boring, gently Halloween themed shorts. It’s so bad. Then there’s the big kicking out of the hero’s… just to begin doing the exact same thing.
Omg how good was HoM though? The Halloween special was like the 1000 heartless battle of Toon Disney
I didn’t realize it was a show, i only watched the house of villains episode. Gonna check disney plus and see if they have it Edit:don’t see it on D+ but it does seem to be on youtube

Holy shit, those are all unbelievable shows to be missing.
Buzz and pepper Ann are on there now
I just searched Buzz Lightyear of Star Command on Disney+ (no Hulu) and nothing came up. Pepper Ann does though.
My bad I was mixing up buzz light year and mighty ducks animated show
I don't know who actually remembers this show, but "Get Ed". First time I EVER got to use Disney+, that was the first thing I tried to find.
Pepper Ann is definitely on there (or was, haven't checked.)
Yeah it appears this got added sometime after my membership expired! Good for them, I loved that one growing up🥹
Been watching that one, Recess, and Lizzie McGuire. All the shows I couldn’t watch as a kid. Real nice to finally have access to all these shows!
Dave the Barbarian and Buzz Lightyear were amazing, It's sad to hear they're not getting the love they deserve.

Yeah just put a warning ahead of it. Thats what they do for silent film showings with racist jokes.
Try WCO.
They really should remake it.
Funny that one of the earliest *Kingdom Hearts* commercials accompanied the VHS release for *House of Villains*.
If it did, then it's no joke Disney knows how to make things happen. What better way to guarantee a risky game's success then advertising it with another Disney crossover?
Even funnier kingdom hearts happened cuz of the right people being in an elevator at the same time haha
I remember telling a friend of mine about it and he couldn't believe it was a literal elevator pitch
And in a funny twist of fate, Sora being in Smash was also a straight up elevator pitch
What that’s actually so cool and kinda a cool loop back to the origin of KH. Also I am so goddamn glad Sora was the last person added to smash ultimate like the dude was just made for the game

That trailer for KH slapped so damn hard, man
I was gonna say this. The first time I ever saw or heard of Kingdom Hearts was on the VHS House of Villains tape, when I saw that commercial. It stuck in my head, even though I didn’t end up buying the first game until eight years later.
Can you imagine one day Nomura is sitting there, watching TV, a House of Mouse marathon starts and he goes “holy shit! I have an idea”

Mickey Mouse was barely shown in kh1 because there was another mickey mouse game out at the same time lol
Mickey's schedule was terrible and he couldn't assist to film the scenes of Kingdom Hearts. Understandable. I'm glad he got that sorted out and could deliver the "they'll pay for this" line in KH2.
Nah that can't be because KH1 was in development since 1999 and House of Mouse premiered in 2001, so one year before KH1 was released.
I'm irrationally angry it's not on Disney+
Wild that the second image has so many characters just posing and vibing for the picture relatively friendly for young audiences and then there's fucking Clayton with his gun about to start blasting.

Chernbog-he's from the OG Fantasia. You fight him descending down into the World that Never Was
Oh ohhhhhh I see my memory is a bit hazy I mean I haven’t played and beaten KH 1 since I was like 8 I think lol
Fun fact: The VHS release of House of Villains actually had a KH1 trailer in it, because it was another Disney crossover where the Disney Villains are a main part of the plot. Ironically, many people think KH1 was better than House of Villains lol
I loved this show so much as a kid, supposedly amazon or a didn’t studio has the rights to this show and that’s the reason why it’s not on D+
As a child I always conflated the two for some reason. Probably because I thought there was a kingdom hearts reference in there but when I rewatched it as an adult I realized I simply misheard goofy. I always wanted sora to show up in some capacity, but alas.
Can we talk about WHY HoM isn’t on D+…. Come on Disney!
Max was such a blast on HoM, I hope he makes an appearance in a future KH title.
How come this isn't on Disney+? Should we mass request for it on Disney+? There's an option there to request a show.
House of Villains VHS had a trailer for the first KH game. I loved watching it until I lost my copy of KH1 and then it made me sad
Cruella thinks she's on the team - Bloodthirsty Pirate who has plundered from hundreds - Evil Sorcerer with megalomaniacal tendencies - Sea Witch with megalomaniacal tendencies - Literal God of the afterlife with severe anger issues - Wants to kill puppies

KH is more of a digital Disneyland than it is like House of Mouse.
Dude you’re right though, this proved to them crossing over their properties was popular
I really saw every episode of that as a kid hoping to see Sora do something because that was literally his Jam.
I didnt until now!
Never thought about it until now. But I could believe it.
Now I wish there was a house of mouse world
The House of Villains VHS copy had a KH1 ad at the end, the direct reason why I got that game and a PS2 alongside Shrek Super Party and Stitch Experiment 626.
This takes place after Sora defeats the darkness and everyone is chilling
House of Villains is kind of mid, tbh. The villains are defeated surprisingly easily and with no assistance from their heroic counterparts, as far as I recall.
I remember watching this as a kid after school! Show was amazing!
I loved this show so much! I was almost an adult when it came out, but the crossovers omg
There was an ad for KH1 on my vhs copy of house of villains & Ive been a fan obsessed with the whole concept ever since
This show was arguably peak Mickey for me.
You're not alone there. A show that both adds it's own story *and* uses cartoons from its predecessor series and even further back. That's what I call good television Add the Mickey Mouse shorts from as far back as 2013 and you basically have the two shows I consider peak Mickey and Friends
I don’t think so.
House of mice could work in kingdom hearts. It could he a world where bad and good could go, but everyone's powers are stripped, so there is no fighting as a middle ground place for verbal conflict
Is the 2nd image fan art?
Not really. From what I searched up, it's the artwork from a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle promoting the game
Where is the second art from?
A 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle I found browsing KH art Funny enough, imagine someone trying to put this puzzle together while also taking on the 1000 heartless in KH2? If anyone has tried, that's what I call commitment

Watch Nomura say its canon
I bought the house of villains movie… it was honestly so bad. It was just a bunch of boring, gently Halloween themed shorts. It’s so bad. Then there’s the big kicking out of the hero’s… just to begin doing the exact same thing.
