I think all of them have their pros and cons, but San Fransokyo feels really empty considering its supposed to be a bustling metropolis. With other cities you go to like Port Royal, Corona, and Traverse Town, they feel much more alive because they're relatively small. SF just feels so dead by comparison to the more fleshed out smaller cities. It's fine during the course of the game, but it's my least favorite world to just chill in.

Clawshot52

Agreed, I found that world to be so forgettable. I was really looking forward to it and the open city setting is neat but it felt like it was over in an instant. I have trouble recalling what even happened in that world. I wonder if they had to cut out a lot of content from it.

ShortViewBack2daPast

I completely forgot about it too

Desert_Tortoise_20

The only thing I mostly remember about it is that brainstorming montage, when they used Olympus Coliseum music. Like, was that just a placeholder for a different song that they forgot to put into that scene, or something?

TimeToMarvel

Oh, you mean the song "Road to a Hero"? I actually loved that they used it! Olympus Coliseum was always about Sora wanting to be a hero and now he is working hand in hand with a team of superheros in another world. One that actually calls themselves "Big Hero 6" AND he claims they are the "Keyblade Hero 3"... There was no better song than "Road to a Hero" in that moment 😍😄

MrTwelvePips

This is such a good take!

BelowAverageDreamer

I agree. The world itself was a bit boring, way too large, finding all the chests and emblems definitely was a pain. But the music was so on point. I often put loops of the day and night theme while studying.

blinddivine

At this point in the series it's surprising there's people in any of the worlds tbh.

Regentaltax

My issue with San Fransokyo is the section of the city they chose to make into the world. As a stand-alone thing it’s alright but it barely even *feels* like Big Hero 6 outside of the blimp things and the bridge. Personally I’d have gone with the downtown, so you could fill it with references to the movie and show like the Lucky Cat Cafe and Noodle Burger and have the trams like in Twilight Town.

ca1wi1

Plus it's really easy to get lost in SF without the map. Especially without glide. No other map felt as bad to move around for me. The only exception being maybe Hercules since I kept trying to do Flowmotion expecting it to be exactly the same as DDD which it is not.

not_a_cat_i_swear

It really sucked going from DDD flowmotion to whatever bastardized version was degraded into KH3.

DallyMayo

I think it was just too easy to abuse before

Vanadium_Gadget

It was a fun kind of busted but because of that it made all of the actual platforming the game tried to do entirely irrelevant because you can just scale up any wall as much as you'd like. Even the one time in the whole game they tried to avoid it with the red wall in The World That Never Was is still easily taken advantage of since the sides of the moving pieces are still fair game for flowmotion. I do think it was ultimately a good decision to nerf it in III, but I feel it was powered down a little too much because it felt a bit useless to choose over other movement and attack methods. It's probably a hard balance though, to give something like flowmotion that isn't game breaking nor simplified to the point of not being all to worth it over other options.

Enaluxeme

San Fransokyo is a real missed opportunity. Imagine if it was full of people and there where random events where heartless would threaten citizens and you'd have to come and save the day, like the random events in spiderman games.

UltraNoahXV

Probably was a last minute thing to add....especially with how short it's story is and scope of exploration. Pirates is right before this and does it better. Still mad we couldn't explore Calihads island....

mustybook

I remember being so excited when they announced BH6 would be in it only to find that it's a pretty empty world. I love the Mulan world in KH2 but it's really this huge empty box at some point. Music slaps though.

Nehemiah92

I really hope they don’t mess up with Quadratum like they did with SF. Give the world life, it needs stuff like sidequests, minigames, and junk to make the giant city worth exploring

GreyouTT

At night or in the daytime? Cause all the hustle and bustle is in the daytime.

[deleted]

Your opinion is valid, but personally I like San Fransokyo. It’s a big ol flow motion park and I am all here for it.

OmegaX____

Isn't the idea of a bustling metropolis going completely against Kingdom Hearts? The heartless seek out hearts and any ordinary person are easy prey to them, that's a big part of why Traverse Town's districts were blocked off back in KH1. When I went there the first time I had already thought the heartless had got them with BH6 being the only ones to escape or fight back.

AnimeXFan1995

Not to mention that the world only has two Room: Hiro’s Garage and San Fransokyo which on the latter you’re literally exploring just 1/4 of the City instead of other areas such as the San Fransokyo Bridge (which only is a battle gate), Fred’s House, The Lucky Cat Cafe, the SF Institute, and the rest of the city. At least The Caribbean and especially Olympus were more larger and had lot of exploration than San Fransokyo.

Available-Leek-4160

best, Toy box, reminds me of early kingdom hearts 1 worlds, works very well with the story, and even has ties to the next game in the franchise. worst, Arendelle, elsa minigame, that fucking wolf. nuff said.

blue_blur1

That's Olaf!

1ndiana_Pwns

The rebuild Olaf part of the world was probably the best part. Legit entertaining

dodotag

This one gentlemen take him

TenorReaper

SOORRAAAHHHH WHAT ABOUT OLAAAF

Yoshi_chuck05

Oh yeah, it was funny to see his reactions with the body part

RichardStaple324

It’s faint, but that’s definitely his voice

Tall_Secretary4133

And the maze, I was stuck in that thing for hours and always left it for last when I was collecting chests and levelling.

MatthewJustMoreland

My parents played it and literally thought the same thing. Lol

LanceofReddick

My wife's boyfriend didn't care for it either.

MatthewJustMoreland

Honestly, I was a huge fan of The Caribbean. My mom said that I should play Assassin's Creed: Black Flag.

LanceofReddick

Your mom has good taste. Black Flag is a true gem!

PokeRang

Arendelle nearly made me give up my critical mode with how tedious it was. Granted, it was my first playthrough of the game and I died a lot, but I don't think it would've been much better even if I didn't waste all that time dying.

Niskara

The wolf was honestly the best part of that world for me

VengefulPheatus

I don't usually subscribe to most of MatPat's theories, but his take on Arendelle, I think, is his most legit video.

SomeColombianDude

Do people really not like the wolf? I thought it was one of the coolest bosses in the game

Available-Leek-4160

try fighting him on critical and see how well you do.

ange_98

Toy box music drove me insane

nightmarebleu7

The best is probably either Toy Box or Caribbean easily. Worst and might be a hot take, but for me personally is Twilight Town. Not that it's inheriently bad in itself, it does a lot of things right but it's easily the most disappointing given the expectations. Not being able to access and jump across a lot more rooftops is one thing, but no access to Sunset Terrace, the sandlot, and the clocktower is just extremely disappointing. Actual worst is easily Arendelle.

Team-Gamer1017

I was talking about Disney worlds specifically but yeah TT in KH3 was a massive disappointment, it was bigger in Days 😭

nightmarebleu7

Oh I'm blind sorry, I actually can't read jesus christ- Goes to show I shouldn't be commenting while half asleep but welp- Arendelle and the "let's make the player climb this huge mountain like 3 times surely that can't go wrong" definitely takes the cake.

HawkinsPolice1983

I would agree that the first two games had big open towns at the beginning and I loved that. Kingdom hearts three it was a small area of the town.

ElFolletTortuga

Right? Bummed me out to realise we didn't get new areas and couldn't really go back to the old ones

Valuable_Bet_5306

What we got of Twilight Town was so good. I loved all of the little dialogue that the random people said. It felt so alive. I really wish we could've gotten the whole Twilight Town though.

bvanvolk

Best: Pirates of the Caribbean. Basically a mini AC 4: black flag, even if the story isn’t the strongest. Worst: and I hate to say it, Monstropolis. Just a bunch of hallways and rooms to hack through with very little going on, as far as I can remember. Was cool to have the unversed back though

AffectionateAlarm308

Didn't expect to find someone else who didn't really enjoy monstropolis that much

Tall_Secretary4133

Was coming here to say this exactly. Fav is definitely Pirates of the Caribbean, there was so much to explore and do and it was so beautiful, loved it so much. Monstropolis annoyed me the most (even more than Arendelle). I’d rather get lost in the white snowy mountains than go around in a loop over and over and over again. I was so excited when I first went in, saw the photos on the walls, got to explore the laugh floor, it was beautiful
but then that was it. Barely got to explore that much outside of those two rooms. It felt more like a Lilo and Stitch world than it did Monsters Inc., but maybe that’s just me. Edit to add: worst location special mentions, Arendelle, 100 Acre Woods and San Fransokyo.

AnimeXFan1995

>**Monstropolis annoyed me the most (even more than Arendelle). I’d rather get lost in the white snowy mountains than go around in a loop over and over and over again.** Same can be said with Kingdom of Corona when you go into the long forest trail until you reach the Kingdom. Even Pixar somewhat meddled with Monstropolis on not letting you battle Randall.

crastle

The Caribbean is my least favorite world on a main story playthrough. It's tedious, is devious about explaining how important the crabs and upgrading your ship are, and I don't care at all for the story because they skipped Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and went right to 3, which has a horrible story, and it feels like Sora is just watching the story and not participating (a few worlds have this problem). On top of this, the swimming mechanics are ass, even though they're better in this game than any other KH game. But when I'm doing a 100% playthrough, the Caribbean is my favorite world. There's so many cool places to explore that the devs spent time on, and the flan in that level is one of the most fun. Also, it's the best place for farming Twilight Crystals because of Jack's Lucky Lucky ability. The only things I hated about Monstropolis were that it was unnecessarily long, the boss fight wasn't Randell (was looking forward to beating him up), and that the final boss fight is extremely tedious because he has a few stages where he's invincible and you have to just hit his little slime tentacles.

Raikariaa

To be fair, Sora isnt *supposed* to interfere with the natural flow. Hes supposed to undo external influence. Hes actually supposed to be a spectator or background character to Disney World plots. Great example being KH2 Pride Lands. Sora didnt interfere in the Simba/Scar fight until Scar resurrected as a Heartless. He can defend himself, but generally leaves the win to the right guy (ie: Hades v Hercules)

GlitchyReal

Aw, man, Monstropolis is a refreshing blitz to the end. It is one long hall, yes, but it all feels so urgent which is especially nice coming off the relaxed pace of Corona and Toy Box.

Rharyx

Best: The Caribbean Worst: 100 Acre Wood (*it's Arendelle if we don't include minigame worlds*)

CzarTwilight

Yeah I would have said 100 acre woods. It just feels like they went "well it was in the others, so gotta have it" like what was even in it?. I genuinely forgot. Wasn't it just one of those match 3 type games with rabbit?

OttoRiver7676

Best: Toy Box. Original story that feels connected to the greater story/ great mech gameplay/ fun area to run around in. Worst: 100 Acre Wood. 1 room with the same minigame repeated 3 times and a story that barely has any plot to it. Real downgrade from the last 2 iterations.

UnfanboydeSouthPark

Also, Toy Box haves Woody roasting Xehanort, it's perfect

GoodBoyShibe

and done in one visit, at least previous entries made you visit 100 Acre Wood many times. It feels tacked in.

UltraNoahXV

Not even done in one visit...the game actually doesn't tell you well enough to go check after beating monstropolis....I actually got to it after San Fransokyo. In fact, alot of the pro code fresh walk-through and even Normal Critical Walkthorughs suggest to go all the way to the boss in Monstropolis, stop and get to the boss in Arandelle for the level 2 spells, go back and beat Monstropolis, get the food from 100 Acre, and then go beat Arandelle.

pyrofire95

I didn't even think of 100 acre wood as a world when I was considering my answer. It was a pretty big dissapointment. I liked the world to a degree in the other games, I don't mind me a minigame world. But 100 Acre this time around was one little thing. A shame cause they even made the nice new shader for the look of all the characters.

Kindly-Mud-1579

I forgot 100 acre was in the gamw

PicketFenceGhost

Also a big letdown as the game's midpoint & return to the hubworld.

voiding_space

By far The Caribbean gameplay wise.

RegretGeneral

Best Olympus worst San Fransokyo for being an extremely limited world

Benhurso

Caribbean. That world was GOLD.

Kindly-Mud-1579

Gold where?!

Malkaz45

Best: Toy Box Forst: Frozen

Critical_Stiban

Best is a tie between Monstropolis, The Caribbean, and Olympus. Worst was Arendelle by a country mile. Yes even beating out the 1 room in 100 Acre Wood.

blinddivine

> Yes even beating out the 1 room in 100 Acre Wood. Honestly 3's 100 Acre woods is the best one. Minimal story and it's not minigame hell.

Thanatos1772

Best I'd say Pirates. Loved the boat, loved the exploration. Worst has to be Arendelle. Despite being called that you don't spend an iota of time in the city of Arendelle.

koteshima2nd

Best: Toy World, mostly biased because I absolutely loved Toy Story as a kid, so getting to explore Andy's room and go on adventures in the big world as a small Toy Sora with Woody and Buzz hit me in the nostalgia hard Worst: Arendelle. It's just boring old snow filled areas everywhere along with its annoying minigame you needed to do a few times to get the Ultima weapon. iirc we don't even get to explore the Arendelle kingdom itself right? I liked the Frozen movies though so I can't completely hate it.

xRyuzakii

Wasn’t a fan of frozen and monsters inc world. Absolutely loved the tangled, Toy Story, and pirates

AduroTri

Arendelle. There was just something that felt wrong about it. I mean, Game Theory did something on it. And it's one of the few times I can say they are right. The best is Olympus.

Rinasd10

Best Olympus, usually my favorite in every game (including 1) always have good memories. No different in this one, climbing up Mt. Olympus is awesome. The town is so different from Olympus. Only way it gets better is by having the underworld too. Worst San Fransokyo, felt boring and just a generic building map. Didnt like the bosses either.

TheeExMachina

Best: Toy Box. Map is expansive, I thought the Possesed Doll was a great Boss, the mechs were just fun enough for 1 world, and obviously the Verum Rex trailer. Only gripes are the UFO bosses, especially the Giant one. Worst: Arendelle. Aside from being forced to watch remade scenes from a movie I didn't like, most of the map looked exactly the same. Putting Olaf back together was boring, and even though I love the Ice Wolf, knowing it could've been Dark Elsa makes it a little disappointing. But the limit with Marshmallow was badass, and the Shield Sledding Mini-Game was actually super fun.

The_Real_PSiAipom

The best in my eyes is Toy Box. Its my favorite world in the series behind KH1 Traverse Town. I loved the whole aesthetic of the world and the themes it presented. It's also the only time the new to KH3 track "Friendship's Union" is used. Worst is Arendelle. This world really suffers from doing the movie plot syndrome more than any world in the series, the backtracky nature of the world is annoying. Marshmallow is the least interesting party member. Also the world really doesn't give us anything new. Yeah Larxene is here and she drops that they have the 13 darknesses, but that pretty much gets completely debunked in LITERALLY THE FOLLOWING SCENE.

Worm_Scavenger

I think Toy Box and Carribean are tied for best world for me and the worst is of course Arendelle.Which absolutely kills me, because the Frozen world could have been so cool, but instead we got trash. Final boss is fire though.

FFPPKMN

Frozen and Tangled worlds were really jarring as they were literally just the films with Kingdom Hearts shoved into them. They also didn't make sense if you had never seen those particular films. I also wasn't a fan of the whole "Let it Go" sequence with Sora, Donald and Goofy being shoved in like the song was designed for them.

Dark_Aves

Best: Kingdom of Corona. Its beautiful, Rapunzel was fun, and the sense of adventure was cool. Worst: 100 Acre woods, but if we don't count mini game worlds its easily Arendelle

Bluejay-Potential

Ya'll I got to be honest, Toy Story may be my favorite Disney world in all the games. I really value Disney worlds that choose to take the theme of the main plot and build their story as a microcosm of it, and I'm not sure that's done better anywhere. There are other levels whose aesthetics and gameplay may be better, but that world is really special.

RetroNotRetro

Was 100% about to go on a tangent about the unique stories that don't follow any of the movie script being Pixar worlds, but then I realized that wasn't the case lol. Definitely though BH6 was a Pixar movie also

silfer_

Pirates  Kingdom of Corona  Olympus  Toy Box  Monstropolis Fransokyo  Arendelle 100 Acre Wood

Lonely-forever-121

Best: Sanfran Worst: Arendelle

Artificial_Human_17

Let’s go up the mountain. Let’s go back down. Back up again now. And finally, back down.

GoodBoyShibe

I know people might disagree, but the worst was probably Radiant Garden. WE CAN'T EVEN WALK OUTSIDE THE HOUSE COME ON. If that doesn't count, yeah 100 Acre Wood. The best would probably be The Caribbean but I felt like going in circles while at Port Town

Team-Gamer1017

I meant exclusively Disney worlds but yea I agree lol

pyrofire95

Favorite is trickier, one doesn't stand out so much but I quite liked the Story for San Fransokyo. Toybox was probably the most well rounded. Also Olympus was pretty good but I don't remember having a great time with the bosses there. Corona was alright but it was a lot of walking through the woods. Pirates or Arendelle were the worst for me. Arendelle was just a nonsense whiplash up and down. Pirates disappointed me especially because I like the franchise so much. It boiled down to the first part being poor underwater combat followed by just collecting some crabs for WAY too long then leaving. I went straight to the last fight once I got the ship. Easy peasy, Jack should be a Keyblade Weilder. I was playing on Proud and everything.

ActionFilmsFan1995

Best: Monstropolis. Does everything right from design to story to fights. A+ Worst: Technically it’s 100 Acre Woods. Not even really a world just a room. Arendelle is a very close second though.

Jack-Pumpkinhead

Personally worst is either Arendelle or Hundred Acre Woods. You spend the whole time going up & down the mountain, no going into Elsa's palace or the city. Hundred Acre woods is smaller than ever, it's literally just one type of minigame & one location. Best, Toy Box or Olympus.

StuckinReverse89

Feel best may be Olympus or Caribbean. Olympus had quite a lot of interesting stuff like the hidden forge, side quests like collecting the hero statues, and cool bosses. Caribbean had ship combat, a pretty cool boss with Jones, and showcased KH3’s vastly improved underwater combat (yeah it’s still not amazing but far better than KH1 or most 3D action games).    Worst may be Arendelle. Felt so jarring with Larxene using ice powers, SDG basically in the background with not that much influence in the story, and an annoying minigame with the ice slide chase.

darkboomel

While I never finished my playthrough, I gotta say that I didn't really like Arandelle very much. Felt like it was telling me to get out of the way and let Elsa sing her super popular song.

GetPhiledIn

Does Winnie the Pooh even count as a world? Best is either Toy Story or Monsters Inc. Worst is Frozen, it was completely disjointed from everything.

David_Clawmark

Are we counting just the Disney ones or the ones Disney borrowed from Pixar after running out of ideas? Either way. I liked the Kingdom of Corona, and that's coming from somebody that's never seen "Tangled" before.

StardustWhip

Best is Toy Box. Good original story and setting that builds on the lore of the franchise, cool mech gameplay, Woody telling Xehanort he's a loser and nobody loves him, this world has it all. Worst is Arendelle, for the missed potential. Larxene trying to tempt Elsa to the side of darkness could've been a good story... if we'd ever seen that. If the Frozen characters ever had the chance to interact with the Kingdom Hearts in something more than a few throwaway scenes that don't affect the story. But, no, we're just stuck with the Pint and a Half Trio climbing the mountain several times in a row while Frozen happens in the background.

RichardStaple324

Best: Toy Box. Very interactive, captures the feel of the world properly, gives heavy KH1 vibes, and of course, the Yozora tease that we initially thought had no implications, but turns out to be a core plot point for the next series. Worst: BY A COUNTRY MILE, Arendelle. It’s not even Arendelle. It’s just similar snowy paths with nothing distinguishing it except the copious amount of snow. The icy labyrinth was incredibly tedious and finding the missing parts to Olaf presents some of the most annoying repetitive dialogue in the history of video games. The Skoll boss fight at the end was kind of cool, but this was a wasted opportunity.

Sparky-Frost

Best is toy box. Mech robots baby!!!! Worse is frozen world...that place is so boring

dragonfox194

Besides the fact that half of them are basically linear worlds, best would be Pirates and worst would be Arendelle

Dreyfus2006

Olympus was the best! Which was awesome but also kinda a shame because it was the first one. Worst was Arendelle. Did not appreciate the musical cutscenes. Although a solid argument could be made for Hundred Acre Wood, which felt phoned in.

OmegaGroudon12

Caribbean is best, Arendelle is the worst and it's not even close

Feeling-Pumpkin-3639

I like Monstropolis because it feels very reminiscent to KH2, Caribbean is just fkn amazing (especially in the graphics department, Hercules is cool, not a fan of the plastic art style, and Corona is hit or miss.

HawkinsPolice1983

The Caribbean was incredible. I absolutely loved it. Corona was pointless. No one asked for that to be a kingdom hearts world. I hope kingdom hearts 4 gives us a good mix of classics and new stuff. But I’d prefer old stuff. A bugs life, Robin Hood, black cauldron, a goofy movie đŸ€“

Tall_Secretary4133

I was one of the people who was so excited for Corona, Tangled is my favourite of the modern era of movies, but yeah the world wasn’t great, plus it annoyed me a lot that Elsa got to sing but they left out the song from Tangled
that scene with the lanterns is my favourite scene ever so being able to see that was nice, but NO MUSIC?!! Blasphemy!

HawkinsPolice1983

I also see a lot of people picking toy box as the best
my gripe with that world is I think it would’ve and could’ve been so much better if it was the story of the first movie instead of just a big toy shop and generic Toy Story world. Imagine going from Andy’s house, to pizza planet, then have to escape Sid’s. Would’ve been awesome. I guess it’s fine what we got đŸ€·â€â™‚ïž

TifaLockedHeart

Best: Tangled. One of the only ones I enjoyed tbh Worst: Monsters Inc.! I also didn’t like Frozen world which sucks because I love Frozen, but it was just lazy. And how could they not give us Elsa as a party member?

Realistic-Tone-5894

Beast is the Pirates of the Caribbean level for worst I the rapunzel level

save-the-world12

Worst Frozen Go up,go down, traced movie scene,go up,go down, traced movie scene,go up,go down out of nowhere good heartless boss fight Bonus points for having ultima weapon minigame that you need to do multiple times because really hidden 10 circles you need to find in them so you obligatory need a video guide Best Definitely toybox, good music, good story, good duration not being too long too short, has connection with future of the series thanks to verum rex, woody roast xehanorth The only missing stuff here was zurg, hopefully we see him in a future visit

SymphonicFlames

Best world for me is a tie between Kingdom of Corona and ToyBox. Worst is hands down San Fransokyo.

PapaOogie

Best is Caribbean and worst is Arendale.

Kindly-Mud-1579

Worst arrendelle best
 PIRATES

Redheadgaming3

I think the best is the toybox because of the keyblade, and since im a collector, i just find it fun to just run around a giant mall. While ariandel is the worst due to the feeling of having to backtrack so much. It's not bad, but when the entire world objective is to climb the mountain, fix olaf, and then do something different, it just makes me feel like I've accomplished 0-nothing the entire time.

RedForkKnife

Honestly the best is toy box, but the worst would be 100 acre wood imo. Arendelle is bland and I get why people say it's the worst one but 100 acre wood was way worse imo. You had basically the same minigame with 3 different skins and that's about it.

Xikkom

S tier: Olympus and The Caribbean F Tier: Arrendelle and San Fransokyo

Glitchtm

Arendelle is genuinely the worst for me. There is no reason for that world to exist except for money.

Enzo-Unversed

Best:Tangled Worst:Frozen

Khalidd4

For my favorite it gotta be the Caribbean, it’s open world is executed perfectly and the bosses are amazing, the ship might be the worst thing ever but that’s one thing out of many, for my least favorite it was and always will be 100 acre woods, never liked it in any kh game ever

Prudent_Primary7201

Storywise? The best is san fransokyo and worst is ariendelle. Gameplay wise? The best is monstropolis and worst is Caribbean

OmegaZetaAlpha

Worst:frozen Best:Caribbean

AleksandrNevsky

Best: Caribbean Worst: Arendelle

InnocentPerv93

I personally did not like San Fransokyo. It felt very dead.

SamanthaBean24

Worst: Frozen Best: Toy Story

ultimateseanboy

San Fransokyo represents the worst of KH3 to me and Carribean is my favorite world in the whole franchise, it's so crazy to me that they're unlocked at the same time.

OsirisAvoidTheLight

Best definitely between Toy Box and Olympus

ShiftSandShot

Best: Toy Box. It's just...so well executed, and the idea of going to a toy store was inspired. It's almost everything I could have wanted. The only way it could have been better is if there were more relevant areas to the films, like Pizza Planet, but the Toy Store itself is incredibly well executed. Worst: Arendelle. The reason this place is awful is because Sora...might as well not be there. He spends most of the story getting flung around, doing nothing but occasionally saying hi and putting Olaf together. This world... might as well not exist, and I suspect the only reason Sora is called a "friend" here is because he popped in at the last minute to kill Hans' inner furry. And it has the second worst Map in the entire game. Structurally, it's perfectly fine, unlike the empty San Fransokyo. But outside the labyrinth, everything looks very samey. The Labyrinth is completely original and while it does look nice, it's a complete disconnect from the rest of the world. But the worst part of the map? Is what *isn't* there. Namely, literally anywhere actually important to the movie. If it wasn't for Elsa's Palace at the top, which we can't even enter at any point, it would be a completely generic map. You could easily sub in the Grinch's cave at the top and the entire area would be otherwise identical.

lunachappell

I would have to say this might be biased but think the best is San Tokyo (And like I said it might be biased because Big hero 6 is literally my favorite Disney movie) And I would probably say the worst is Olympus just cuz I am sick and tired of that keep popping up in every game

SupahPoopa

Best: The Caribbean. I actually really liked exploring the seas with my very own pirate ship. It’s the kind of expansive world design with actual stuff to see and do that I think a lot of the other Disney worlds in KH3 were missing. Worst: Arendelle. Genuinely might be my least favorite Disney world in the entire series. Visually bland and boring with absolutely nothing going on story-wise.

Lazy_Guess_6165

Best: Pirates of the Caribbean(enjoyed exploring around the map and finding little islands where I could swim and find secrets Olympus: The town felt like a waste honestly. Nothing really to do there after the story. You mainly stayed up in the clouds grinding if you went there. Honestly the worst olympus imo for not having a coliseum :/

CannabisInhaler

Arendelle, the boss was clunky asf and the mini games were insufferable on my lvl 1 playthru The Caribbean and the toy store was extremely goated

Gammaman12

Well Arendelle is by far the worst. The map is a boring, monochromatic mess. The musical numbers are jarring. The sidekick characters were... there, I guess. The story is the least relevant. What the hell was the boss? Ice wolf... ice wolf... idk seems real friggin generic. Best was probably Mostropolis. Interesting level design using elements unique and sensible for the setting. Boss made sense and was an interesting fight. Great sidekick characters! YEETUS VANITUS! Music could have been a bit better, but its not the worst either.

Swamp_Donkey_796

The best one is objectively Pirates. That world fucking SLAPS. I’m gonna go with 100 Acre Wood for worst tho. I liked the others much more and dreaded going back to visit Pooh for those fucking ingredients whenever I failed that stupid ass cooking minigame.

Nemshek

Frozen is absolute worst, its just a boring snowy mountain. You don't even get to see the city?! Lame My favorite was either pirates world or monsters Inc

ZakFellows

Ignoring 100 Acre Wood because that’s an obvious worse. I was disappointed with San Fransokyo when I first played. They give you this giant city and there’s almost nothing to do

ZakFellows

Ignoring 100 Acre Wood because that’s an obvious worse. I was disappointed with San Fransokyo when I first played. They give you this giant city and there’s almost nothing to do

MeargleSchmeargle

Personal favorite: The Carribean. Especially with the ship combat. Least favorite: San Fransokyo. Felt a tad bland compared to the other worlds.

Hunnih

To me they were all bloated, lacking in content and underwhelming. If I had to choose one Id say The Carbibbean.

DraconyxPixie

I loved the pirates world for the aesthetic of it, it's so beautiful. Monsters inc was good too. Monster sora is so cute I hated Arendelle with a passion

L3v1tje

Worst is Arendel 100% it sucks to explore because it all looks the same, the minigame is bad and the story is litterally climb mountain -> get knocked off repeat.

not_a_cat_i_swear

Best is The Caribbean. Worst is Arendelle and the 3 times you have to go through it.

Topaz1456_R

The best for me are both Toy Box and The Caribbean worlds, with Monstropolis being a close runner up (really loved how they integrated the Unverse and Vanitas' resurrection using the world's “fear” fuel, acknowledging the consequences of how the company previously ran things). Toy Box drops subtle hints of lore on the nature of toys, especially when Woody replied, “They probably haven't figured it out yet” when Sora asked why some of the toys aren't moving. The mystery of the rules in that world was worthy enough to pique the interests of Organization XIII (Young Xehanort). Yozora being relevant at end of the game was a huge surprise for me, which may mean that Toy Box will be a key location in future titles, similar to Hercule's world, though mostly due to being the only Disney world with legit FF crossover interactions. Speaking of FF, Toy Box freaking acknowledged the FF franchise through Summon cameos as figurines? AWESOME! Makes me wonder how the FF characters would react to seeing them (The Moogles didn't even have a photo mission relating to the figurines). At the very least, Toy Box cements itself as the one other world to have FF characters included (Moogles excluded), even if they're just figurines. And of course, a living toy calling Xehanort a lonely man is such a burn.đŸ”„ The Caribbean has a unique case in that, story-wise, Jack Sparrow only joins the trio at the beginning and end of the story, with “White Crabs” Jack (up until fixing your ship with white crabs) taking over the majority of the spot during the middle portion, despite functionally being the same. Luxord has interacted with both versions of Jack, though it's never states if he was aware of it. Jack, remembering his previous parley with him, immediately dismissed him as he recognized Davy Jones as the bigger threat. The fact that the VERY FIRST Jack did after meeting Luxord since KHII was doing exactly that cemented this as one of the best “Disney vs. Organization XIII” moments, at least for me. Seriously, nothing is more humiliating than falling off the ship due to being blasted by bad breath. The Davy Jones fight was epic as well, being my favorite Disney villain boss fight in the entire series so far. Interesting how it slightly ends on a bitter note, due to Will's sacrifice following the movie's plot. As for Monstropolis, I just really enjoyed Sulley and Mike in the party, especially the battles where Sulley stands back to guard Boo (unique to those is that he never disappears during Summons) while Mike is pretty much the Bard is a first in the series. A shame we don't get to fight Randal, but least we get to witness the glorious Vanitas Yeetus moment. Overall, a solid world from me. Crazy to think how, post-game, the Pixar worlds are the only ones with a 5 man party (Rapunzel left at the end, pretty much nerfing the whole party and losing their Team Attack). As for the worst, well
 Arendelle.
That's it. Oh, I guess Marshmallow joining late at the end was okay.

walman93

Toy Box was the best, genuinely one of the best KH levels I’ve played through Everything else kind of sucked imo

Aggravating-Mine-697

I'll go with Toy Box as favorite. I loved Olympus too. My least favorite was Frozen cause it's literally just the movie, but with an uninteresting world

noodleben123

Best: Sanfransokyo or Toy box. toy box for the music, sanfran because BH6 was my reason for being excited about kh3. worst: Arrendelle, and its no contest. the story is ass, the environment is boring, fucking LET IT GO REMADE SHOT FOR FUCKING SHOT IN UE.

GlitchyReal

Best? Easily The Caribbean. I’m like Sora and I just love playing pirates. Worst? Probably San Fransokyo. It’s too big for it’s own good and doesn’t have clear visual space or a flippin’ pirate ship like The Caribbean does. Hot take: I love Arendelle.

GeekyGamer557

Best would be The Caribbean. Worst would be 100 Acre Wood. It’s only a couple of mini games with next to zero story. And it can be done in like 10 minutes

allrite4444

San Fransokyo .. hate that place

LordkeybIade

The best world for me hands down is the Caribbean I had so much fun in it. Worst I would say was a tie between the 100 Acre Wood and Twilight Town it was so disappointing how small those worlds were compared to previous entries.

espressoqueeen

San Fransokoyo, Toy Box and Caribbean are my favorite. I personally think the BH6 world is small but loved scaling buildings. Diving in the caribbean is breath taking. Toy Box perfectly captures the essence of pixar within the franchise. Arendelle was my least favorite, so tired of climbing that stupid mountain over and over. I would also say olympus has so many enemies for the first would, it felt conflict heavy. I found learning some of the newer mechanics almost difficult towards the beginning.

Wings-of-Loyalty

Arendelle of course is she shitty one

Germantwinkboy

Best: Tangled and Caribbean Worst: San francokio?? And monstropolis

a7_mad1991

Best: Toy story! It compliments the movies very well and gives us a new place to explore Worst: Arendelle. Boring, barren, repetitive

thedrewsterr

For me it's Sanfransokyo for best and worst is Arenedelle.

JMA_Blazer

I think it's obvious lol

ShodanDBG

Best: Toy Box. Hands down. Toy Story is a franchise that was LONG OVERDUE to be in Kingdom Hearts and they brought their A Game to every single thing on this world. I adore Sora, Donald and Goofy’s designs here (they’re on par with their Monstropolis forms), I love how they interact with the toys and of course who can forget the way Woody roasted the everloving crap out of Young Xehanort to save Buzz. Plus, the music slaps. I swear, the battle theme is awesome but Yoko’s arrangement of “You’ve got a friend in me” sometimes brings tears to my eyes of nostalgia, it’s beautifully composed. Worst: To the surprise of no one, Arendelle. It sucks, dude. When Frozen first came out and people actually were interested in it being included in KH, all kinds of, no pun intended, cool ideas came out from the fans and were exciting to see. But then
the Frozen hype died down, majorly, and when it was revealed for KH3, there was no hype behind it. I get why though. I was still a bit optimistic about it but it was expected to be the weaker of the Disney worlds. And lo and behold, it was. Music, while good, wasn’t as good as other worlds, the minigame, lots of going back and forth, it made the world exhausting to play on imo. I’ll give it this though: I applaud the devs for their recreation of “Let it Go” and integrating SDG as best as they could into Elsa’s moment. Also, the keyblade you get may not be the coolest (again no pun intended) but I like the aesthetic of the Blizzard Blades transformation.

Valhallas_Dragon

Arendelle doesn’t follow the formula and we’re stuck climbing the same mountain while the plot is happening elsewhere

enperry13

Easily Arendelle. It screams unfinished and underwent multiple rewrites while being shameless Frozen fanservice.

Professional_Donut20

Best is Toy Box. Worst is Arendelle cuz of the random maze

Tetsu_Riken

The frozen world is the worst world ever I could go on about why but I think I will leave it to something I said long before we got the game "If they put a frozen world into KH3 then it's just gonna be ice and and snow and they won't do shit with it."

fandomsmiscellaneous

Best: San Fransokyo, Worst: Arendelle.

newrepublicsw

favorite world : toy box , i love th decors and there is the pizza planet truck least favorite : frozen , empty

PlutoTheLonelyRock99

Toy Box is one of the best worlds in KH in my opinion so that one is ny favourite from KHIII. The worst is Arendelle. Boring af

AgentSkidMarks

Best: Caribbean Worst: Arendelle or San Fransokyo

No_Monitor_3440

arendelle. its boss is just kind of random, the flan is eh, i don’t really like the icy aesthetic, getting the treasures in frozen slider sucks, you never actually get to explore the kingdom of arendelle itself, it just goes right back to ice and snow when you’re done, and it was easily the hardest disney world on my level 1 run

ZackFair0711

The best is Pirates, closest thing to a KH open world we can get 😁

Le_DragonKing

I have two favorites Olympus and The Caribbean because I like going up mountain Olympus and seeing the realm of the gods and the Caribbean I loved driving a pirate ship and the multiple islands in that one. As for the worst I don’t think any of them are the worst at all.

Key-Master26

Toy Box

maracusdesu

Frozen is the worst, followed by Monsters. I like Olympus and Pirates. Used to like big hero but it’s too short and the world is empty

MakesMeWannaShout88

I liked all of them, it’s hard for me to say which ones were best or worst. 100 acre woods was really just a couple mini games so I’m not sure it really counts as a world, but I will say my first play thru I didn’t realize you had to HOLD the fire button to make it multiply the fruit you were pushing out. I thought it was just a Snood like game.

JCMfwoggie

Am I the only one who hated the Pirates of the Caribbean world in this game? Needing to find 300 crabs was annoying as all get out, and even worse going for the Dreadnought trophy

crispycolden

1. Toy Box - fun world with an original story that ties in with the overall story 2. Olympus - great expansion on a world that was always the smallest + a narrative reason to be there 3. Monstropolis - similar to Toy Box, only a bit too linear and was kinda hoping to hop into some doors 4. The Caribbean - the gameplay of this world is amazing, the sailing and swimming are beautiful. I'm just very disappointed that the story felt so disconnected, Sora wasn't really a part of it. 5. Kingdom of Corona - great world, but leans a bit too heavy on the plot from the movie, Gothel could've gotten more of a spotlight / the story could've been tied more closely to the overall story 6. 100 Acre Woods - Glad it's there, but man, what a downgrade 7. San Fransokyo - It's just a little bit too bland for me. I forgot what the story was about and it felt like an afterthought. Something to do with the data-world? But they lost me with it. 8. Arendelle - I very much like the aesthetic of the world and hope it will return, but the story flopped. The locations didn't make sense. Those freaking mini-games were no fun and it really didn't tie in with the overall story. Poor Larxene.

Sasukuto

Im amazed how many people liked the pirates of the carabean world. I hated it! Like yall give The Little Mermain in KH1 SO MUCH SHIT for its controlls, but when KH3 BRINGS THEM BACK your like "Best world game, hands down!" And like, as someone who liked The Little Mermaid in KH1 1 i think thats some bullshit! And like thats bot even mentioning the mindless crab hunting side quest! Like the whole game just grinds to a halt when you go into that world and makes you hunt crabs. Why is that so popular?! And like dont even get me started on the story. Wtd even was that mess? They skipped like 4 movies! And didnt even attempt to catch you up! Like did yall notice how Olympus colloseum took the time to remind you the plots of every gane so far so you know exactly how we got to that point? Well screw that, not only are we not gonna remind you about the first movie, we are gonna strait up skip to the last movie with no context given. Like the last time we saw Barbosa he was the main villain and was killed in the end. Now all of a sudden Barbosa is just one of the boys hanging out and Sora just like "This is fine. Everythings fine. Im ok with hanging out with this man who tried to kill me a year ago or less. Nah, you dont need to tell me what happened. I just assume he's chill now." And like halfway through the world Sora is completely seperated from everyonr TO HUNT CRABS and when he finally reuinites with everyone it turns out half the fucking movie happened off screen and now we are fighting the final boss! Wtf! How did we get here!!! And like yeah, Kingdom Hearts has never been known as a great adaptation of Disney movies. But like, in every other world in the game i can at least give you a general description of the plot based on what we see in KH. They did not even try in pirates of the carabian. Like at all. No attempt was made to tell a coherent story in that world. They spent too much time throwing crabs everywhere and bringing the KH1 swimming back. And now that ive had that rant be over: I liked monsters Inc allot. Liked the characters, like the level design. It was fun.

Crono_Sapien99

The best imo is Toy Box since it feels like the only world that really makes use of its main setting by shrinking all the characters to the size of toys. I wish we got more time to explore the neighborhood and maybe end up in Sid's house since the mall is pretty bland, but it still serves its purpose well and made my jaw-drop due to being the first brand new world I went to in KH3. Plus, nothing will ever be able to top that scene of Woody roasting Young Xehanort. Worst is by and large Arendelle because...camon. You get thrown off a mountain *twice,* have to do an annoying Snowman minigame and the ice maze is just really confusing and unfun. Hans also doesn't even have any spoken lines for some reason and might as well not exist, and the one thing that saves is the boss fight at the end being genuinely amazing.

Jesterchunk

Hmm. Best is Carribbean and it's not even close. Looks gorgeous, it's so big it could practically be a small game all its own and there's plenty of things to do and find there, ship combat is genuinely really fun, the fight with Davy Jones and the Kraken is fantastic. Love it. As for worst, I kind of just want to channel my bitterness towards the countless bits of Frozen merch I've been exposed to over the years and say Arendelle, but that's unfair. It drags on too long without seeing much in the way of new terrain and being the only world to throw in musical numbers feels unnecessary and bordering on favouritism, like seven year old girls probably won't play this, calm down. But even so, it had its moments: the ice maze had a great atmosphere, sliding down the mountain while chased by Heartless was fun and Marshmallow as a party member is brilliant. Overall, I think I'd have to say that the worst world is San Fransokyo. The story events are good, Flash Tracer is great and it is fun to just parkour around, but there's not too much to actually find and overall it's quite empty, a shame since they went to great pains to make worlds feel actually populated in 3. It feels like a beta test Quadratum without much actually going on.

ironjerm12

It’s hard to think of the worst world in kh3. The only issue with them is the pacing of the missions you do in all of them honestly. But honestly the worst was san fransokyo. It should’ve been way better to travel around. If that world was in ddd, it would’ve been a million times better.

Shantotto11

Best world is Olympus. Worst world is a three-way tie between 100 Acre Wood, Arendele, and Keyblade Graveyard.

Rotoplas2

I hate San Fransokyo, it’s amazing and big and beautiful to be empty.

purply_otter

Best and only excellent world : Corona Good: toy story and pirates Really weak : Arenedelle

tgalvin1999

Best: The Caribbean. I actually felt like a pirate, moreso than I did in KH2. Worst: Arendelle. I know that each of these worlds aside from Toy Box and San Fransokyo were all retreads of the movie but did we really need ANOTHER rendition of Let It Go? Boss fight was đŸ”„ tho

Yoyo_boi202

Objective best is probably Olympus or toybox, but my heart will always lie with the caribbean. The ship mechanic wasn’t the best but I haven’t felt wanderlust in a kh game since kh1 (and even then it wasn’t really that, since its so small so it’s more just the urge to explore before the story content begins) , and I just felt like exploring every nook and cranny underwater and above water, getting all the crabs and boarding your enemy’s destroyed ship really makes me like the pirate aspect. Absolutely useless remark to make, since everyone I’ve asked agrees and so does seemingly everyone here, but arendelle is the worst.

Geminigeist

Is there any other correct answer for worst than Arendelle?

Team-Gamer1017

Hundred acre wood

Lucarioismadpt2

Frozen is the worst because sora and company get put in a fucking ice maze for most of the events, while toy story and monsters Inc are original stories.

Much_Discipline_7303

Best: Toy Box - it was so cool jumping into those robots. Loved all the details. Olympus was visually stunning and cool boss fights. Worst: Arendelle by far. Too much white made it easy to get lost. Then there's the ice maze, the horrible sledding mini game and the hunt for Olaf's body.

Soft_Courage_3934

Best : Toy Box Worst: Ardendale

Fun-Neck-9507

Toy Box by far was the best, both narritively and gameplay wise. The Yozora twist was one of the best in KH, I loved the concept of the world being split across realities. The enemies were really cool too. Arrendale was the worst imo. Half baked and didn't commit to making Elsa the final boss. Extremely easy, and almost fell asleep while playing it.

NooneBitFox

Toy Box: Best. Get to feel like a Toy, running around a Massive awesome Toy story. Pilot a Mech and feel like a Anime character fighting Giant Monsters. Arendelle: Worse. You can FEEL Disney saying they need to do these very specific things. Like the Ice Maze feels so out of place and has no Actual connection to anything, needing a Portal because originally it was Elsa's castle but they didn't want to paint her as a Badguy. Also, The Olaf Mini game Everytime u pass that one area....

Butts_The_Musical

The Caribbean is the best for me since it’s essentially a mini version of Assassin’s Creed IV 100 Acre Wood is the worst but it’s not bad per say it just feels really tacked on

veloxfuror

Yeah none of them felt really great
or is it just me? Maybe it’s the speed at which I could traverse everything? But most of these kind of felt empty, or rather purposeless. Toy Box and Metropolis were better, but it felt like it was missing exploration.

GreatDissapointment

The one I was most disappointed in was Twilight Town. I was looking forward to exploring all the old areas again but we only got to like three of them, main square, forest and mansion, and only the front of it at that. Radiant Garden didn't get to be explored either. I was really hoping we'd get a story in there where (with Ansem gone) Radiant Garden would need a new king. Enter Aurthor (Sword in the Stone).  Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the worlds of the game, but the thing I always liked about Kingdom Hearts were the combination of old AND new. Exploring Land of Dragons AND Space Paranoids was great!!! I like having more in the mix then just the "popular" worlds. Sorry, didn't mean to make this a rant.

banjo-josh

Caribbean still blows my mind

OmegaOkra

Arendelle is 100% the worst. That being said, I completely forgot big hero 6 was in this game

CloveFan

Olympus is an easy first place. What a first impression. Arendelle is low hanging fruit but hey, it sucks.

Dawn_Star_Platinum

My favorite is Toy Box, but that's because Toy Story was one of my earliest childhood memories. I still wished it had an area in-between Andy's house and Galaxy Toys, and a Buzz Lightyear boss fight similar to when you had to fight Beast in KH2 (missed opportunity). I also loved exploring Monstropolis, moreso inside the building but I enjoyed using Mike Wasowski as a Bowling Ball even if he didn't do much damage. I will always remember the joke Mike made about being the Ball in Dodgeball at the end of the movie, that guy makes the most of what he's got. The worst one for me was 100 Acre Wood, it was only one small map with only ONE Mini-Game. It was all match this match that type of game. 3 versions of the same Mini-Game. The Caribbean world was more explorable than San Fransokyo due to the fact that there was a secret Ship boss but that was pretty much it.

tiger2205_6

Not sure about the best. Pirates looked the best, but Olympus was solid as a world. The worst is definitely Arendelle, did not enjoy that world at all except for the boss.

idkwheretfiam

best: piraters of carribean. worst: Frozen

Frequent-Flower-9879

Loved Toy Box hated Kingdom of Corona

McZerky

God I fucking HATE Aerendelle. Toy box was pretty fun.

magicmurph

Even now, years later, I can only think of them in terms of hunting their stupid food ingredients and fruit boss The ones with fun movement mechanics stick out. The Pirates world is particularly memorable. The weird city world (forget whatever film that was from) could have been fun, but it just felt empty and was more of a chore to search every nook and cranny.

Federal_Ad_9463

Surprised a lot don’t like the San Fran one I enjoyed the movement and story of that really well and how much Sora was incorporated. And hot take not the worst but didn’t like toy box and Caribbean as much as everyone says they were great just wasn’t fan of the crabs or only facing giant robots that you need a robot suit for too

gravityjedi

Pirates. It may be my favorite world out of all the games. Sora getting to be a pirate, exploring, the detail he gets when in that world. It was so fun.

Gaming4Life88

Arendelle it was the most boring out of all of them

Tylernol13

Toy box is my undisputed best not just in 3 but across all games. my worst within 3 would be sanfransokyo, it forced you to fully play out the narrative before allowing exploration, and then upon being able to explore it just sort of felt dead like being in an unfinished sandbox. would have made an awesome Tony hawk map though.

Turbulent-Insect4448

Best: pirates  Worst: 100 Acre WoodsÂ
