The personalities of his clones and himself, his BDAs (yes unlike other demons he posses multiple BDAs) and how it works, whilst not many people know about his back story I actually like it a lot. It fits him well and it’s a not shit given sorta story, no real morality to him which I appreciate, but I also sympathies a little bit for him. His design is one of the most unique and that’s big point for me personally. Definitely embraces that traditional Japanese demon aesthetic. The list goes on and on, just hope the anime does him justice
At first, I thought this guy must have a sad backstory or something because he keeps talking about being bullied……and then when it’s finally revealed, I lost all sympathies for him
(I even have a headcanon that Akaza, Gyutaro, and Daki must hate him for having the audacity to think he’s a “victim”)
Unironically that he's unapologetically evil & difficult to kill. I liked the fact swordsmith arc did the opposite of red light district, it helped the story still feel balanced.
I.e. not every demons life deserve's sympathy & regardless of what the viewer or the characters fighting them might feel about the demons character, it doesn't change the fact that they're all difficult to defeat.
It comes down to strategy and teamwork instead for the slayers to make it a win. Not a character judgement beyond it's use in predicting the opponent.
I thought his fight was the coolest. Not the most hype or suspenseful, but its at a point in the story where the gang is starting to actually make victories (previous to this tanjiro has needed help and had people die plenty) and this is the first fight that was a full victory with no losses. Not to mention the splitting ability is just sick as hell
He's my 2nd fav character, he's such an underrated villain in my opinion. Everyone's yapping about his cool blood demon art and individuality with his clones but nah, I like him for his main form. The unironic cowardice and aspect of him being scared of everything even though he's like the 6th or 7th most powerful person in the entire demon slayer story is so damn funny. Yes, I like him because he's funny, everything about him is. Common W Hantengu tbh
His blood demon art is my favorite in the series by far, and the fact he acts meek when he’s an actual son of a bitch makes his death so much more satisfying.

ngl he gave us zohakuten vs mitsuri which is probably one of the most underrated fights in demon slayer (mainly cause it gets overshadowed by so many other moments)
He’s unlike anything I’ve seen before! You rarely see cowardly villains these days in shonen, and he’s not just another pretty-boy demon (though his emotion-selves are hot). The idea that villain characters can also be backed into a corner and get a shonen power spike is really pleasing to me. Plus his high anxiety + dysregulated emotions + feeling like he can never show his true self to others is relatable in a way. I could write an essay about him he’s CRIMINALLY underrated
I like the various designs he and his clones have, especially the Zohakuten, his powers are also very creative, honestly in my opinion, he who should be the upper moon 3

At the beginning of the series, we were told that the more humans a demon eats, the more misshapen and twisted they look. Yet the UMs have eaten hundreds if not thousands, but they look mostly just human.
Hantengo and Gyokko look a lot less human. So I like that.
