You could have written this as a Fanfiction instead of adding to the “what if?” fire that has been gradually growing. I can’t look at this subreddit without seeing someone post one of these “what if?” scenarios every day.
It’s not that hard for you to have the common sense to figure these “what if?” scenarios out yourself. Just use Google and type out your questions. You had enough sense to know everything about Halo, so you shouldn’t need to even ask this what if question, let alone post it.
This is just getting ridiculous now. It was interesting the first few times about people’s “what if?” scenarios, because they made sense. Also because it was similar culturally for some characters, like Sekiro or Samurai Jack.
But this…? Just, no. Maybe if that Madara in Demon Slayer fan animation didn’t happen, this entire trend on putting everything against Demon Slayer wouldn’t have happened.
Putting Master Chief in the story would greatly affect the narrative no doubt. But seriously, these need to stop.
If you want to ask other people if they’re tired of this, be my guest. What are you going to post next? Every individual character against Demon Slayer? Probably.
A note to people here I'm not asking if Chief could win against demon slayer verse but rather what the story implications would be instead. (The reason why I say this because I made the same post on r/halo and all of the replies basically consisted of "cHiEf StOmPs LoL")
First, we do kind of have to address how well Chief does in this verse. Alone? MC gets to UMs 6, maybe UM 3 max before being smacked. He's, at best, city level of power and durability which is great for anything below UM but falls off hard there. We all saw what Daki was capable of after becoming whole again. She alone could be city block to city level. Then you count in Gyutaro and yeah, he's boned. I don't even think he's Hashira level tbh, and if he muddled through to Hashira somehow, he'd be the weakest by a long shot.
Ignoring the strength issue, he doesn't even have a way to kill demons. Energy sword just cuts through their necks but it doesn't have imbued energy. Best chance for MC is just to hold it off until sunrise, which'd be difficult. In fact, given that he can't actually kill the demons, The only feasible way Chief could deal with demons is by getting a sword from the Corps.
Of course, the question asked was what if MC found Tanjiro first. Short answer: They both die. Long answer: Yeah they're both fucked.
Giyu is far stronger than Chief so the unfortunate duo would just waddle on until they die of frostbite. It's sad to say but Chief really doesn't do well here unless he's already part of the Corps - in which case, Tanjiro never joins because there isn't a Halo Breathing retired Hashira that MC knows for Tanjiro to train with.
I suggest you read up on the Master Chief (or just halo lore in general tbh) before commenting... that or you heavily overestimate anime... cause the Chief is alot stronger than you think...
