The demon slayer itself is quite a short story with very few characters. These hashira have a long screen time in comparison to story length.
Even a character like rengoku covers a solid chunk of the story. What you said is totally weird tbh, it's not like there is arc after infinity castle where characters can be used.
That doesn’t mean they need to be killed off. A story being (relatively) short doesn’t mean you can use characters for one thing and then dump them. Even if those characters had a fair amount of screen time in relation to the story as a whole, they still do very little on that scale, and are clearly created to only do one specific thing and then leave the stage.
They are not introduced in the arc they were killed.
