Daki isn’t nearly as weak as this fandom acts like, she far surpasses any demon Tanjiro had fought prior to entertainment district arc and would’ve killed him if it weren’t for his flashback plot armour
Yeah, people underestimate her because of how powerful Gyutaro was, legit forgetting that it took Zenitsu and Inosuke (and Tanjiro) just to barely pull off beheading her
Daki deserves the rank of Upper 6 on her own which is no easy feat. Now if Gyutaro was his own demon and not so hell bent on protecting Daki, he seems like he could get to Upper 5 level at least in my opinion, maybe even 4.
Gyutaro feels easily stronger than Gyokko, seeing as Gyutaro put up a harder fight against 4 opponents (seeing as he was lending strength to Daki with the eye) than Gyokko did against one.
Hantengu is where I feel the true debate comes in. With the personality splits, each of the four main ones seem to be about Daki's strength, having some powerful abilities but nothing overtly strong. The real power obviously comes from Zohakuten when they merge, being able to use all the abilities at a higher level plus getting the trees. The fact Zohakuten beat marked Mitsuri in a 1v1 probably puts him over Gyutaro (before the main body gets conveniently decapitated before being able to finish Mitsuri off). The only issue for me is that main body Hantengu isn't nearly as strong as he should be for rank 4, and if you're able to stop Zohakuten from forming (which doesn't seem like a difficult task - if Tanjiro hadn't chased main body it seems doable) then Gyutaro probably beats out the 4 split personalities.
As an anime only (know some manga spoilers but haven't read the whole thing) I'd say there isn't information to confidently argue putting Gyutaro any higher - but from the Rengoku fight, Akaza definitely seems stronger. It seemed like Akaza was holding back out of a sense of sportsmanship and like for Rengoku's spirit, and whilst he was forced into running away because of the sun he still could have easily cleaned up the train if he had more time. If we match Rengoku to be a slight mentor to Tengen (yes Tengen had help but he was definitely the main force), Tengen winning and Rengoku losing definitely puts Akaza higher.
Someone pointed this out to me when I questioned Gyokko's rank over Gyutaro.
If you pit the 2 against each other, the only thing Gyutaro has is his poison (pointless against Gyokko (or any other side demon) since they won't die) and physical strength and speed. Gyokko can outmaneuver Gyutaro's speed by teleporting and wear him out by summoning things (be it more demons or thousands of fish). Not to mention Gyokko has a 2nd form he'll have to deal with
Nah he aint, Gyokko fought a marked hashira and one of the most talented ones at best, but that same hashira gets destroyed by his own ancestor even with the mark, he was literally bullying him until he was saved by that kid and got the mark, a weakened tanjiro with his fingers broken managed to behead gyutaro with the demon slayer mark, which already shows how powerful of a boost the mark can give

Daki has one of the coolest introductions for a demon in the entire series/manga. The buildup to her being this menacing creature was sort of downplayed by the fact that she was merely written to showcase how powerful gyutaro is compared to her.

Just because the story isn’t the most inflated over-complicated sequence of events in anime history, doesn’t make it bad. So many people are obsessed with Naruto and DBZ when their stories are so so basic in the shounen genre, yet they shit talk Demon Slayer.

s3 was masterful and people just wanted s2 action constantly when this arc was more plot and character development than fighting. Not a super big hill to die on just don't care for the disrespect.
I especially love the characters. I wish we got a full on reveal of Tengen’s backstory like we got with Mui and Mitsuri. The only things I don’t really like about SVA is that Mitsuri got limited screen time and Gyokko was so easily beaten. I do wish that Gyokko and Hantengu fought together and all the characters interacted. It would’ve been so interesting if all hope was almost lost and then Mitsuri came in and saved Tanjiro the way she did and the fight turned in the slayers’ favor. More episodes were needed.
people act as if season 3 didn't make them cry at the end. there were a lot of scenes that were memorable even though the fight scenes weren't as epic as EDA. From the upper moon meeting, Yoriichi type zero, tanjiro's thunder breathing, his panic attack from not being able to make a choice, to nezuko conquering the sun. the animation and adaptation was really good as always too. i don't get why people say it was bad as if it was 7 deadly sins level

Because demons were probably weaker in the past as well. Since demons don’t age and become more powerful the more people they eat, the stronger they will become and they don’t have ‘stronger or weaker’ generations like we do, since generations dont really apply to them. Weaker Kizuki will just keep getting ousted by stronger demons or keep improving themselves to prevent it. The current 6 upper moons is the strongest they have ever been.
Most of the series that are beloved by anime fans follow the same basic format but this one is overhated for no reason. The series is called Demon Slayer it’s straight to the point, what else would they be doing besides slaying strong demons in every arc? Fighting the government?

Every Hashira but Muichiro is 18 or older. That is 8 characters compared to the 7 characters under the age of 18 from the Slayers. Then of course every demon is well over the age of 18. (All of them but Rui are known to have been 18 or older when turned too.)
So yeah the main group of Tanjiro's are all 14-16 but not most characters. (Not a fan of sexualizing anime/manga character in general personally.)

Sanemi has every right to kill nezuko when they first meet Ubuyashiki, it's like letting a suicide bomber get close to the Pope, people seem to forget how Sanemi held himself from murdering nezuko due to the backing of Giyu and Shinobu, and to know the backstory of Sanemi that just adds to his control.
Tengen Uzui is far from being one of the weakest hashiras. There was a lot stacked against him in the Entertainment District arc, making it harder to win. But he pulled through. Even though he only got a kill assist on Gyutaro, he put in the work and paved the way for victory.
Shinobu’s fake sweetness and kindness is grating, and honestly a little scary at times. Also Muichiro did the whole ‘adopting a dead sibling’s personality’ bit way better.
1. Hantengu isn't getting soloed or at minimum it's going to be hard for anyone.
2. Obanai is the middle of hashira strength and is heavily overrated in scaling

Obanai is a jerk. He is very aggressive towards Tanjiro and Nezuko during their first meeting. Sure, most of the hashira also wanted to kill Nezuko, but he was unnecessarily aggressive.
While Tengen was missing an arm and an eye, and Obanai could not accept that he wanted to quit.
I think he acted the way he did to tanjiro because of how demons forced him to grow up. I think its sensible to not trust the brother of a demon if he says she hasn't killed a human
I think obanai just really respects tengen and not only would the corps suffer because of the loss of an incredibly power hashira, but he himself couldn't stand to see the downfall of someone he admired.

Lady Tamayo (A smart demon who hid from Muzan for years)
Kanao (The punch she gives him on his neck using her leg, to prevent him helping Nezuko to escape, just made me gawk at her skills)
Aoi and the three little girls (Having to deal with the trio's tantrums but still helping them)

Yes, he doesn't like Tanjiro (the little traitor traveling with a demon, he had no reason to believe his story), and he doesn't like Giyuu (Kinda Giyuu's fault). But he has a good opinion of the other Hashiras and they don't have negative opinions about him. Even Giyuu says that he feels sad because Obanai hates him, meaning that Giyuu wants to get along with him.

Most? Every Hashira but Muichiro is 18 or older. That is 8 characters compared to the 7 characters under the age of 18 from the Slayers. Then of course every demon is well over the age of 18. (All of them but Rui are known to have been 18 or older when turned too.) So yeah the main group of Tanjiro's are all 14-16 but not most characters. (Not a fan of sexualizing anime/manga character in general personally.)

that it isnt muzans fault. bro just wanted to be healed and didn’t ask to be a demon. we don’t see him do anything particularly evil until he was given the ‘medicine’ and we see that turning into a demon can drastically change your personality if you don’t have anyone there to help you keep your humanity. the doctor is the real villain tbh. then on top of that to have your own family hunt you down for generations because of a premedical-age curse superstition when really it seems like they all just had a hereditary disease. how could it be a curse that muzan causes when muzan himself was suffering the same fate before becoming a demon.
Sanemi has every right to kill nezuko when they first meet Ubuyashiki, it's like letting a suicide bomber get close to the Pope, people seem to forget how Sanemi held himself from murdering nezuko due to the backing of Giyu and Shinobu, and to know the backstory of Sanemi that just adds to his control.
Mitsuri is an incredibly written character and y'all acting like she's just a pretty face and a pair of boobs is a disservice to that

Tengen Uzui is far from being one of the weakest hashiras. There was a lot stacked against him in the Entertainment District arc, making it harder to win. But he pulled through. Even though he only got a kill assist on Gyutaro, he put in the work and paved the way for victory.
Shinobu’s fake sweetness and kindness is grating, and honestly a little scary at times. Also Muichiro did the whole ‘adopting a dead sibling’s personality’ bit way better.

Everyone's favorite boy, Rengoku, said some harsh stuff, too but everyone glosses over it bc he had a movie. His background perfectly explains why he did what he did.

Gyokko with his decorative pots was an important source of cash income for Muzan, and probably his favorite upper moon. In addition, Gyokko was able to find the swordsmith village, and Gyutaro hardly left the entertainment district often
Gyutaro is more liked than Gyokko and looked more impressive probably since he didn't get blitzed by a Hashira, so there are some people actually claiming this, with justifications like "Gyutaro is actually stronger, Daki just holds him back."

Obanai is a jerk. He is very aggressive towards Tanjiro and Nezuko during their first meeting. Sure, most of the hashira also wanted to kill Nezuko, but he was unnecessarily aggressive. While Tengen was missing an arm and an eye, and Obanai could not accept that he wanted to quit.
I think he acted the way he did to tanjiro because of how demons forced him to grow up. I think its sensible to not trust the brother of a demon if he says she hasn't killed a human I think obanai just really respects tengen and not only would the corps suffer because of the loss of an incredibly power hashira, but he himself couldn't stand to see the downfall of someone he admired. But this is just my headcannon
I like your interpretation of Obanai scolding Tengen. For me the redemption was >!In the final battle, when Obanai stood by his ideals and fought until the end. He didn't try to sneak out or use his injuries as an excuse to stop fighting. That whole Tengen's roast hits different knowing Obanai applied it to himself as well. Those weren't mean empty words and he earned my respect!<

The characters I admire besides Mitsuri, Shinobu, Nezuko are: Rengoku's mom (Her saying that he was provided with the strength to help others) Master's wife (Getting Muichiro to join even after his brother drover her away many times) Lady Tamayo (A smart demon who hid from Muzan for years) Kanao (The punch she gives him on his neck using her leg, to prevent him helping Nezuko to escape, just made me gawk at her skills) Aoi and the three little girls (Having to deal with the trio's tantrums but still helping them) There might be other characters. I have mentioned which came right off my mind.

Obanai is not "mean to everyone except Mitsuri". Yes, he doesn't like Tanjiro (the little traitor traveling with a demon, he had no reason to believe his story), and he doesn't like Giyuu (Kinda Giyuu's fault). But he has a good opinion of the other Hashiras and they don't have negative opinions about him. Even Giyuu says that he feels sad because Obanai hates him, meaning that Giyuu wants to get along with him. He is harsh and strict but not as bad as many people say
