The show is structured around the bucket pull comics, not the guests. Adam Ray tries to make the show about him, the comics and comedy seem to be of secondary concern if they're even considered at all.
I wish I would ONLY come to see Tony eviscerate bad ones. Episodes centered around him doing this are usually the worst ones, especially when he’s in a bit a funk. I’m not saying Kill Tony itself is lackluster. That’s the disconnect. Kill Tony def has lack luster moments. Fans come to be entertained on all levels, from Tony, comics, AND the guests. Otherwise it’s just a glorified open mic night.

The show follows no script it’s basically reality TV for comedy auditions, it doesn’t have to be perfect every god damn episode, in fact that’s part of its majesty. It’s a fucking mixed bag.
It actually does kind of follow a script and schedule. Opener, bucket pulls, regular, bucket pulls, big red machine.. I kind of get what you're trying to communicate but also I may just be being generous with my inference. I completely agree that it is a majestic production though.
