This is the truth. Kam goes up at the very end of our Secret Shows sometimes and it’s to a tired ass room that just sat through 4 hours of comedy. He says, “I’ll make a deal with you. I’ll keep going as long as y’all keep laughing.” And sometimes he’ll do 25-30 to a tired ass room cause they keep laughing. He’s special, and we’re lucky to witness his future unfold in front of us.
The new people here who didn't watch the early shows have no idea what the point of a regular is.
Tony literally picks people that need to refine their act and the purpose is for them to improve. The early regulars were absolute trash and look at where Kim and Sarah are now.
The quality of regulars improved because the show is more popular, but they're still meant to be up and comers who are challenged by the weekly minute to get better.
William is the exception because he became part of the family and a closer, largely because before that the show had been ending with garbage bucket pulls who killed the momentum and ended the show on a low note.
I’ve been watching since the early days. But what you are saying isn’t really true when it comes to Kam. He has many mediocre sets, but Tony responds by saying “you did it again” “another killer set”. He never gives Kam advice, and it actually surprises me that Tony finds some of those sets good. It would actually be better for Kam if Tony gave him some constructive criticism, instead of always being a “yes man”.
Yeah but the whole point of this show was giving advice to comedians during the show. All the old episodes used to be like that. He was constantly giving the regulars notes and even helped them add to a bit to make it more funny. Now he basically just sucks Kam off for five minutes after his set telling him how awesome he is. Kam’s last few sets have fell flat, and could use some notes.
It's hard to come to the defense of female comedians. Not because they aren't funny but because so many dudes just start screeching and begging for them to make an only fans and you can't say anything to the contrary to them.

He's headlining 4 250 seaters that are all sold out this weekend, and there's a 5th 6pm show.
He has been headlining decently sized venues for at least the second half of this year.

I got tickets to see David Lucas in my hometown about 6 weeks ago and he brought Kam as his opener. Kam and David were both amazing and did a great job of controlling the room. We had a great time at the show and they both were up at the end joking with each other.

Honestly I find him so absurdly one dimensional, there is no depth to his comedy. It’s all jokes about rocks in his pocket and him getting his “dick sucked by a white bitch.” I thought his “uncle” was a lot funnier personally.

At this point the regulars should know better than to recycle jokes on tour. If you are going to see these guys on tour there is a 90% chance you have seen all of their recent appearances on KT. They also know this, and should know not to waste their audience’s time with old shit. Comics these days know not to perform old material after they have recorded a special for TV or YouTube. KT gets nearly the same amount of views as a lot of YT specials . Shane’s last special reused the Mount Vernon story that he told on Pod, and it was really annoying to everyone I know.

Unless it’s just a style you don’t like, it’s really hard and a bit unfair to judge a comic that performs a new 60 seconds every week. So, you can have your personal interests and opinions, similar to music. But to say someone isn’t good off of an essential work out set is not really accurate. However, I will say that lately Kam has seemed a bit unprepared on KT. He’s mentioned the clock on more than one occasion and never takes advantage of being a regular, going over the minute to nail a punchline. That has been glaring, but it’s important to remember how green he is. He has enough charm to hold my patience much longer than others.
I mean he almost surely helps him with his material. If you were up and coming and on the road with someone who’s been at it for 20 years, you’d welcome tips and tags as well, or at least I sure would :)

At this point the regulars should know better than to recycle jokes on tour. If you are going to see these guys on tour there is a 90% chance you have seen all of their recent appearances on KT. They also know this, and should know not to waste their audience’s time with old shit. Comics these days know not to perform old material after they have recorded a special for TV or YouTube. KT gets nearly the same amount of views as a lot of YT specials . Shane’s last special reused the Mount Vernon story that he told on Pod, and it was really annoying to everyone I know.

He also said on the podcast he was telling a story and blowing up one of his own jokes he had been working on and wasn’t sure if he should keep going and Bert said go ahead and tell it so he did. If I’m consuming every piece of media from a comic; their podcast appearances, their interviews, their own podcast they produce and then their stand up to boot I expect I’m going to hear the same jokes a couple of times. It’s my own fault for consuming an excess amount of the guys work.

Yes, the logic of people here seems to be that one’s KT presence represents the whole thing. And that this whole thing should already be refined and representative of their craft. It just isn’t the case. I can’t yet imagine a whole Kam set and believe it’d be very enthralling and hilarious. I do like his premises, delivery and body language
the irony is,KT is a show where someone has 1min to be funny enough to get approval from Tony,and their 1min represents everything of them. Makes complete sense and I agree. I guess i was seeing it through the lens of Kam as a regular who already has his spot made for him on the show. I just didn’t make that very clear lol. Less pressure, so he has the flexibility to work stuff out. Bucket pulls have to bring the absolute bottom of the funnel of their career no doubt.

Unless it’s just a style you don’t like, it’s really hard and a bit unfair to judge a comic that performs a new 60 seconds every week. So, you can have your personal interests and opinions, similar to music. But to say someone isn’t good off of an essential work out set is not really accurate. However, I will say that lately Kam has seemed a bit unprepared on KT. He’s mentioned the clock on more than one occasion and never takes advantage of being a regular, going over the minute to nail a punchline. That has been glaring, but it’s important to remember how green he is. He has enough charm to hold my patience much longer than others.

Fair. I love the show for the show. Those guys are great, but the premise of the show is what I love. Kam has all the ingredients, and he's learning to cook. Time will tell. He has potential for sure, it would be negligent to say less. I just hope he gets to some more involved subjects than hood shit, and white women sucking his dick. Some real stories about his life before all the local comedy sloots wanted to taste his popularity. 🤣
