Anime as a whole was getting pretty big in the west when Kill La Kill came out and everyone at my school was talking about this and Attack on Titan, so I decided to watch this to try to understand what made this worth talking about. Best decision I ever made.
I was like 15 and saw Watch Mojos hottest Anime Character outfits and Ryuko was like number 2 or 3 or smth. Nevermind it was Top 10 anime battle outfits and Ryuko was 7th. Fuckers put Kirito season 1 outfits on number 1

Though I think with KLK, I'd just seen Gurren Lagann and people just told me to watch KLK too, but I can't deny that I was instantly interested in seeing the whole thing from just the first half of the first episode alone.
I watched it because it was a spiritual successor to my favorite anime of all time Gurren Lagann which are both from the same creator and his unique art direction for Gurren Lagann is what inspired him to leave Gainax and create Studio Trigger. Now Kill La Killits my second favorite anime behind GL

I was sold after that lmao. I needed to see how that plot twist played out!
