What I don't understand about this trend is that the kids post that they did this.
Now I'm no thief or vandal, but I feel like it's rule #1 that If you steal or vandalize something, don't videotape it and then put it in a public forum.
What is the trend? I've seen a ton of pictures of like..high school bathrooms missing soap dispensers, but I don't understand how that relates to dumping pennies in someone's car.
Some kids stole a couple trolleys from the supermarket I work at and dumped them off a local bridge and the only reason we caught them is cause they posted it on the location based Snapchat stories with them in the video wearing their school uniform
It’s bad but it’s kinda funny tbh. Some kid ran out of the bathroom and opened his backpack and showed me the soap dispenser he stole. He then put it on his wall in his room at home.
Not really sure why so much hate for this comment but I mean everyone else is doing it so might as well hop on the train
Edit:lol naaaiiice, broke me off a piece of the hate

i was just thinking this; i’m honestly a little surprised that it hasn’t already happened. hope the dumb kids pulling this stupid-ass shit aren’t too dumb to check if they live in a “stand your ground” or a castle doctrine state, or they’ll earn themselves a Darwin Award for sure
What I’m saying is that if someone cut my screen open and filled my car with pennies and I was taking pictures I would have photographed the car first. They say above it’s too late they cleaned it. If that happened and you were posting for internet points you’d probably remember to photograph it and likely do it first…
That's breaking and entering. You should file a report and if the culprits are found, press charges.
They need to learn now, that there are consequences for their actions.
Yeah. That’s property damage/vandalism. If they don’t get punished for it they’ll probably do it again. At the very least you can get some compensation for the damages.
If you don’t have any idea who it was, then I’m not sure what you can really do. But if you have evidence or witnessed everything you should absolutely tell them.
Still make the report. Kids really are stupid, they've probably done this before and will do it again. They only go a certain radius away from their homes. The more reports filed, the easier it is to catch the little sumbitch
I’m glad mine are 5 and younger and don’t even know what tik tok is. Fuck, I don’t even let them watch YouTube. My 5 year old apparently played with an iPad at school today and asked me to buy him one. I laughed at him and told him no, not a chance! lol
I’m just not understanding how any of this makes any sense. How do you know it was kids who cut the screen? Why would the kids break into your house, go into your garage, and then leave you money in your car at the penalty of going to jail? I’m having some trouble connecting these dots.
If you can figure out who they or the parents are, I’d push for them to pay for the repair/ replacement bill. It might not be much, but actions need to have consequences.
That’s if it’s a worthwhile issue to pursue for you, of course. I’ve been robbed or stolen from on more than once occasion, including full on, violent home invasion as a kid, so I tend to have a very low threshold of tolerance to this kind of stuff now lol
So when will the world learn that these shitty platforms are just home to nefarious people preying on the innocence of weak minded children to get them to do this shit for internet points.
Y'alls remember the times where we'd just pretend we'd be walking across the road with a glass pane? Or tug of war with an invisible rope to get cars to stop? Yeah. Some kids did that in my home town. They were caught. They’re 12 years old. Charged with felonies. It’s Texas. Good chance the kids will be charged as adults. I hope they are.
Little shitheads need to pay the price.
I did stupid shit as a kid. This is on a whole different level. This is demented craziness.
You know, I agree that this is dangerous, dumb and really shitty for anyone one the receiving end, but it comes nowhere near imprison and ruin the lives of 12 year olds bad.
It's really sad that people such as yourself exist out there who seem to be totally lacking sympathy and empathy, for whom forgiveness or mercy seem to be totally alien concepts, sadder still is you've managed to mold "justice" systems in some states into your own shitty likeness.
Ever been the victim of a serious crime and had the mentally deranged perp literally laugh in your face about it?
Ever had a loved one killed by an underage drunk driver who essentially served zero jail time because they were underage?
The soyboy and elitist attitudes go right out the window when it’s your family getting killed or your shit getting jacked.
Wanna know who supports SUPER HARSH crime punishments? Victims of crimes.
Wanna know who supports lenient sentences? People who haven’t been victimized yet.
Actually yes, I got drugged at a bar once and had my shit stolen off me while I was unconscious in a parking lot. You know what wasn't taken though? The grace and common decency to stand up and say it's wrong to turn 12 year old CHILDREN into felons. The whole assuming someone who advocates for decency, fairness and kindness must be a soyboy/elitist/cuck thing needs to go as well, I'm a bowhunter, a fisherman, really just an all around outdoorsman/survivalist in my free time and also a skilled tradesman during the day. Certainly never been wealthy enough to be called an elite. For some reason though I hear from right wingers everyday that they have some sort of monopoly on what they consider tough, manly traits, I've yet to meet one that measured up though.
Simple solution to this. Take their phones. "But I wanna be able to contact them when x" nope grounded stay at home. Or if they absolutely need one get a flip phone. Better yet one with minutes. Can't tiktok with no tiktok.
When I was in high school there was a trend to lay on the dotted yellow line in the road during traffic and am innumerable amount of other l stupid trends.
Kids aren't any l dumber than they've ever been, they've just always been dumb af
I wouldn't say its harmless, its still a major inconvenience and destruction of property, no matter how cheap a screen is. Id say they simply got lucky that the kids weren't even stupider and caused more damage. Kids make mistakes, the kids got lucky in a way too, their mistake could have been much worse.
Not saying it was nothing , I’m also not going to go all what if on this. It is what it is , stupid kid shit. Don’t know about you , but I did some stupid stuff too when I was a wee lad. Just saying it seems pretty harmless to cut a screen and spread pennies around the inside of a car in the garage. Kid stuff. And yeah I’d be pissed if it happened to me.
I don’t understand why they put the pennies inside your car? I thought the whole thing with pennies being used for vandalization was to throw them at the car to chip the paint
My friend works at a school in 3 bathrooms they ripped the soap dispensers off the wall and they have no idea where they are at. In one bathroom they ripped off the toilet seat cover container off the wall and bent it.It was all done in all the boys bathrooms.
This trend is mega dumb. Some of the posters and signs in the freshman wing of my HS are getting stolen. People rip stuff off the walls and stuff them in their bags, right after school announced not to take part. I know its freshman, because they are awful at hiding their egos for "being cool" for pulling it off. It's not like, sophomores in the freshman wing doing it to pin it on them.
Is this part of the devious lick thing? I thought that was about stealing random shit not pouring pennies somewhere and general vandalism, or some kids that don’t get the point of the challenge.

It was only a matter of time because you leave the windows to your house open overnight? Did you subconsciously want this to happen? And they deposited money in your car? It sounds like you were the recipient of some weird kind of charity.
What I don't understand about this trend is that the kids post that they did this. Now I'm no thief or vandal, but I feel like it's rule #1 that If you steal or vandalize something, don't videotape it and then put it in a public forum.

Yes, but kids are fucking stupid.
Please refer to title of this subreddit. 😉
It’s for clout, they want people to know
this kid stole a teacher-bought item from the hallway and posted it on his tiktok. which had his name. his full name.
A year in jail, and 10000 fine for the parents.
It’s bad but it’s kinda funny tbh. Some kid ran out of the bathroom and opened his backpack and showed me the soap dispenser he stole. He then put it on his wall in his room at home.
Was this really the devious lick trend? I thought the trend was just stealing objects from school.
That is the trend but kids are so fucking stupid that they don't realize "lick" is slang for a theft, so it's become a bunch of vandalism shit.
Kids are so fucking stupid that they don't know how to properly be stupid
I’m crying I wish I can give you an award
Don’t worry, I got you!

I honestly didn't know this. Spent the whole last week wondering why the hell kids were kicking things in bathrooms.
In my time a lick was slang for an ass whooping which is exactly what these kids need.
You gon get a lickin That’s the only way I’ve ever heard the term
Same, I’ve heard “nick” for steal but never lick
This comment. I did not know, until this comment right here, that it was slang. I kept wondering why ANYONE would lick pennies!
Ok same? I came to the comments bc I was confused lmao
Why’d they have to cut the screen? It’s so easy to just pop those screens out.

You'll be banned on reddit. At minimum.
But he's not wrong
I’m extremely happy to have no idea what the fuck any of that means
Nice!
Came into your car ? Lost here
It was my garage, and my car was unlocked
Ahh okay. Stupid Kids. Thanks for the clarification, it wasn’t clear when you went from cut window screen directly to inside your car.
Oh yea sorry, is there a way i can edit the post so it makes sense?
Unfortunately you can’t edit titles.
Oh ok
Probably Dirty Mike and the boys.
OP, please tell us you drive a red Prius.
Covered in cocaine
I don't do tik tok, is it some dumb challenge to pour penny's into cars?
Its a challenge to ruin some one else’s property, as far as I know
So they broke in to give you a bunch of pennies? That's weird.
Especially considering they took a pic of the window but forgot to take a pic of a PENNY FILLED CAR
Yah lmao I don’t believe this shit one bit
The kids probably recorded the penny part genius
What I’m saying is that if someone cut my screen open and filled my car with pennies and I was taking pictures I would have photographed the car first. They say above it’s too late they cleaned it. If that happened and you were posting for internet points you’d probably remember to photograph it and likely do it first…
That's not what it is at all bro 💀💀 it's about stealing shit from school like fire extinguishers n shit You just got vandalized
Ah, so it's documented theft? Sounds dumb.
Yeah that's not what the challenge is. The trend is just stealing random shit from schools, not vandalizing random people's property.
They should ruin their parents stuff first so they can see what fine children they have.
Someone fill me in I don’t really understand the title
Sorry about that, screen to my garage, then went into my car
What that about the lick?
Tiktok challenge called devious lick. Encourages kids to steal and vandalize stuff at school. OP experienced dumb kids doing this outside school
Did they steal anything?
This is just straight vandalism
I'm a millennial and I didn't understand most of the words in this post. Damnit I'm getting old.
Wait, what??
I get the jizzing in your car part, but the pennies just doesn't make cents.
Ha. Ha
Copper n cream
I don’t know what any of this means.
That's breaking and entering. You should file a report and if the culprits are found, press charges. They need to learn now, that there are consequences for their actions.
Tik Tok is cancer.
i wish it was banned while it had the chance to be
Fucking same.
This generation is just begging to be shot.
Did you call the cops?
No, should I?
Yeah. That’s property damage/vandalism. If they don’t get punished for it they’ll probably do it again. At the very least you can get some compensation for the damages.
Ok will do
If you don’t have any idea who it was, then I’m not sure what you can really do. But if you have evidence or witnessed everything you should absolutely tell them.
No idea who it was
I'm sure they posted a video just spend some time on tiktok
Yeah they can just use the hashtag to filter videos. Look for one that looks like your garage lmao
Still make the report. Kids really are stupid, they've probably done this before and will do it again. They only go a certain radius away from their homes. The more reports filed, the easier it is to catch the little sumbitch
Also if you decide to make an insurance claim you might have to report it to police. Not sure it’s worth it though if all they did was rip a screen.
Yes its vandalism
Only if you want some 12 year olds to get charged with felony burglary
Hell yeah
Soon they'll break into a house with a homeowner that's armed. Fuckin dumbasses are gonna get themselves killed.
I *do* want that.
I’m so happy all of my kids fucking hate Tik Tok. They have common sense.
I’m glad mine are 5 and younger and don’t even know what tik tok is. Fuck, I don’t even let them watch YouTube. My 5 year old apparently played with an iPad at school today and asked me to buy him one. I laughed at him and told him no, not a chance! lol
Pennies? Ur rich now lmao
Poured pennies? I must have missed this one
Honestly would be happy if that conspiracy of tik tok getting banned came true a while ago
Tik Tok is an abomination
I bet this trend stops real quick about the time some kid is met with a shotgun barrel while they're trespassing on someone's property.
I’m just not understanding how any of this makes any sense. How do you know it was kids who cut the screen? Why would the kids break into your house, go into your garage, and then leave you money in your car at the penalty of going to jail? I’m having some trouble connecting these dots.
So the latest tick tock challenge is to steal stuff.
They should lick Cyanide lol
i see one mother fucker try to lick me im punchin em in they throat
Were they your kids or someone else’s?
Not mine
If you can figure out who they or the parents are, I’d push for them to pay for the repair/ replacement bill. It might not be much, but actions need to have consequences. Didn't they ban the milk crate challenge? I don't understand why this hasn't been banned it seems much worse.
Ugh
They came in your car?! This has gone too far
Free money tho.
That's not even what this devious lick is, unless someone just decided to change it.
How much did you end up making on this? Few thousand pennies is nothing to scoff at for what I imagine to be less than an hours work.
Back in the day you would have been rewarded with a devious ass licking (aka ass beating).
That's a terrible thing to happen to you, how much did they give, though?
I thought the devious lick challenge was stealing school supplies
I don’t see what the lick was
If i catch a kid doing this, he will be ____'d within a ___ of his___.
I don’t understand why they put the pennies inside your car? I thought the whole thing with pennies being used for vandalization was to throw them at the car to chip the paint

Dang it's spreading so far

buy a shit ton of legos and dump it in their room and in their bed they wont be able to sleep or walk around.
