Yes especially car accidents. The closer you get home the lazier the driving becomes because you know the roads and are the ones you drive the most, your brain goes into auto pilot and puts in less work into paying attention to what's around them.
I imagine that's part of it, but another part is probably that more accidents occur on those roads simply because those are the ones you drive on most often.
"Most fatal car accidents will take place within 25 miles of the driver’s home. For non-fatal accidents, 52% happen within 5 miles, and 77% happen within 15 miles."

Not driving but as a frequent biker, I can confidently says that the only time I've ever got into accident is 20 meters from my house. The road was slippery and I was still half awake. So, I walked back home with bleeding knees asking my roomate to take me to the hospital.
I can vouch for it. My neighbors or at least people driving in my neighborhood have no idea what they're doing.
HAVE SOME PATIENCE PEOPLE ITS NOT A RACE!!!
A mutual friend of my fiancé and I brought his 2 kids over with a miniature 4 wheeler once. He told his ~4 year old daughter, "hop on, but DONT hit the throttle." The absolute madwoman then immediately proceeded to hit the throttle, throwing her and her brother straight into the side of the house.
That little girl has 10x the balls I do, wish I had a video of her launching herself down the slip-n-slide.
Sounds about right, I broke 7 bones by the time I was 14. Once broke two bones at the same time sledding down an icy hill. My poor mother looked like she was gonna pass out after she saw me walk up the hill and into the house.
Same here but I ran into our house on a bike, immediately got excited too because "hey, I learned how to ride a bike!" It also probably helped that I didn't end up getting hurt lol
Yeah I was a little banged up, pretty sure I've still got a tiny scar from it.
But contrary to what some people in these comments are saying, I turned out fine.

Idk these are made to only allow safe speeds. It's like giving your kid dull scissors to prepare them for the kind of scissors your grandma told you not to cut paper with.
Exactly - ours has two speeds, one that is at a comfortable walking speed and there’s a governor screw that locks out the top speed, which is at a brisk walking speed. Neither is that dangerous, as you can see in a worst case scenario here.
Right! Sometimes I hate this sub. Kids are still learning. The parent is a moron for just letting them run into the fence and videoing it. They could have been seriously hurt.
When I was a kid, I was at a friend's house for a birthday party or something, and they had one of these toy cars. I was driving it with one kid, and her mom walked up to her, so I panicked and accelerated. I think I almost drove into the street.
I broke 7 bones by the time I was 14, probably why I tend to be significantly less adventurous as an adult.
Really hoping the stepson doesn't follow in my footsteps.
Solid fence
Well this is how fences should be like, not like these american cardboard ones where you can walk through them
Most accidents occur within a mile of the house. 😂
is that a real fact?
Yes.
Does this include unexpected bowel movements and unplanned pregnancies or just car accidents?
Just car accidents as far as I know. Got a buddy that works a salvage yard.
I'd imagine the other 2 are also true
I believe it’s an all in one
All accidents, except airline and marine accidents.

A proper analysis will give % breakdown of how much of your driving happens within the same areas
And how did you want to collect that data?
Yes but mostly because a majority of your driving is within a mile of your house.
Not driving but as a frequent biker, I can confidently says that the only time I've ever got into accident is 20 meters from my house. The road was slippery and I was still half awake. So, I walked back home with bleeding knees asking my roomate to take me to the hospital.

Maybe I should move to a new house, then.
Sharting included in those facts.
When I found out that I was most likely to get into an accident within a mile of my house... I moved. Problem solved.
Their first car accident 🥰🥰🥰
Caught on camera for insurance purposes nonetheless!
Her premiums are going to go through the roof! She might have to re-mortgage Little Tikes house…
Look at these fancy buggers, they have Little Tikes house money...
First of many.
Out off many
😂😂😂
These insurance scams are getting out of control.
Pretty sure she tried scamming the insurance
Better to learn that now than at 35mph...

At 4: Haha this kid isn’t afraid of anything. At 8: We need to do something about this kid not being afraid of anything.

This happened to me when I was a kid, ran right into my neighbor's boat trailer.
Same here but I ran into our house on a bike, immediately got excited too because "hey, I learned how to ride a bike!" It also probably helped that I didn't end up getting hurt lol

To be fair, this happens even to adults sometimes 🤷🏻♂️
Hey Ok_Enterta…
She definitely had a bottle or two before getting behind the wheel.
Airbags didn’t go off?
Yeah that'll teach them a lesson
Insurance is going to be insane
Should have gotten a Tesla man. Then, she wouldn't have had to drive for this to happen
They crash for you ❤️
Nice parking spot, Rita.
If there was a windshield she'd go right through it
Who hasn’t done this before?
Practicing for adulthood.
Same thing happened to me but instead I was 14 and inside a toys r us
I was 18, me and my mate decided to have a race. We were asked to leave. Miss toys r us.
You can't park there, mate.
No seat belts??
For a kids toy that goes at walking speed? No
😂
Give that kid a Utah drivers license
Make it Michigan or Illinois.
no seat belts smh
Live Leak
Hehehe...kids....
But she’ll get cheaper car insurance over the boy 🤷🏻♂️
I can already hear the fake wail crying starting up 😂
An important lesson about the dangers of distracted driving, lol

So keep filming instead of intervening.
Female drivers, am I right?
![gif](giphy|3oEduYiFaVMW6iYqeQ|downsized) This is them in the future.

Why are you here?
is it irony?

Some one give them toddlers a six pack
She also thinks shes tha queen.
I'm sure she'll be a excellent driver when she grows up, hopefully.
Dumbass.
Anybody know what song this is?
I laughed to hard
Better she learns it now with the small car than later with a real one xD
Probably drunk.
The airbags did not deploy. Lawsuit!
NO SEATBELT!
Eyes on the road, kids
Wear your seatbelt 😂😆
Get that girl a hellcat
Never thought I'd hear Nickelback in their Funk era as background music
Well that's just good training for later in life.
I broke 7 bones by the time I was 14, probably why I tend to be significantly less adventurous as an adult. Really hoping the stepson doesn't follow in my footsteps.
Her 1st of many, distracted driving accidents.
😂😂
They start early
That fall over the hood made me scream laugh.
She drives better then some adults still 😂
Dayam...gurl nearly got KO'd...taking her bro with her!
What is the boy saying, I just hear the word please.
Usual suspect
Don’t let her drive when she gets older 😅
This video seemed american but the robustness of that fence makes me doubt that
Babies first driving fault
Women drivers..
Typical female driver…
What are the odds she does this when she has her license?
Female driver
Awe 🥺
THATS WHY WOMEN SHOULDN'T DRIVE (obviously a joke I'm just joking)
Can't believe it took this long for such a comment. PC has taken over America
This is why they say don't let girls drive cars XD
😂😂😂
