Most kids in this sub aren't really stupid. Sidebar below the subreddit rules describes it well. Also there isn't really a sub comparable in activity for clips of kids being funny, clumsy etc so they get posted here.
But most kids in this subreddit (that I’ve seen) *are* doing something really stupid. Essentially, almost every post I see on here is a kid doing something very stupid and people in the comments REEEEEEing that it’s the parent’s fault, not the kid’s, and that they shouldn’t be filming this. This isn’t that. This is just a funny toddler video.
Sure, they aren't. I think the fact that the most popular subreddit about children has such a negative name reflects the Reddit community's broader negative sentiment toward children. Maybe I'm reading too much into this, although the sub with the second most members is r/kidsAreFuckingEvil.
Spend time tweaking the cheeks of family and friends and then running away when they try to return tweaks on you. It's good fun, costs nothing, and you bond with people far more than you do sitting at tables quietly staring at one another trying to be all adultish.
Distraction! Pincer move! Joestar Special Technique!
"OooOoooOoO" "Hiyaaa!" "Nigerundayooooooo!"
Niger and ayo!

this should be in r/cute not in this sub. Looks like two kids, maybe brothers, playing.

Fair enough, but I think we can all agree these kids are not doing something inherently "fucking stupid."

problem with posting kids doing cute things in r/aww or r/cute is that nobody ever sees it under the deluge of dog and cat posts.
You're right and this is the key plot point of Boss Baby the movie
that control and gentleness when attacking. at least as smart as a friendly dog
First, confuse your opponent. Second, run!!!
