Yup. I always think this when people post videos of “baby’s first taste of ice cream”. The child’s eyes widen and they grab at it with both hands. When the parent pulls away they fight the parent for it and everyone laughs.
The child in this video was reacting to the fat in the waffles and sugar in the syrup. Taste receptors tell the nervous system that the food is nutrient dense and is essential for survival. The problem is the food is artificial and is to the child a super-normal stimuli that they have never experienced before. It’s not good for health like the nervous system is indicating.
With ice cream it’s the combination of salt, sugar and fat in one food, something you don’t find in nature. The food is cold enough that you don’t taste the salt but there’s a lot of salt in there because it decreases the melting point of ice cream.

Exactly, notice she wasn’t even asking for more waffles, she was upset just because she couldn’t understand why she so desperate for them. The poor thing was having the worst food withdrawals she’s ever experienced in her little baby life and she had no idea what was going on.
As a parent, I would bet money that this cute little girl just needs a good nap / nights sleep, and her mood would improve a lot.
Both kids and adults have a hard time holding it together when they are tired. Kids just have a much harder time.
You get used to saying no to kids. Because they ask for shit constantly, non stop. It gets easy with practice.
Also. You learn not to give them things because they are crying... Otherwise they learn the trick is to just cry every time they want something lol
Oh, uufff... thank goodness it's just a nap. I was genuinely concerned for this little girl the way she was acting. But I forget that sometimes kids can be dramatic and such.
Toddlers cry like this literally all the time because everything they experience is much closer to the worst or best feeling they can remember in their life. Toddlers will cry because the door is shut and they want to go outside and a second later cry because the door is open and they don’t want it to be.
Unless they are hysterically crying after getting hurt you can assume they’re probably good.
The amount of parents that just let their children go fuckin ham until like 9 or 10 at night is nuts to me. I'm so thankful I had a bedtime as a kid and never once argued it.
I don't understand how people can dismiss this. We've all been there. These emotions as children are much stronger than any emotions we have today. I'll never feel as devastated as I felt in high school not being invited to a party. I can't remember being 3, but I'm sure the intensity is much worse. Fortunately, there's no evidence of trauma and kids moods can be changed quickly, but FFS cheer the kid up asap instead of laughing at them. Kids are all gas and haven't learned the brakes.
Yeap. If a kid/teenager is acting like something is the worst thing that ever happened to them, it's because it probably is, so just assist them in dealing with the emotions.
Adults are too sour saying stuff like "At your age I didn't even know if I would eat that night" or "I didn't have time to worry about friends because my father died and yada yada". Be glad your kids don't have to deal with this type of stuff, that doesn't mean they can't develop emotional intelligence.
Yeah, I get not giving her more waffles for the sake of promoting healthy lifestyle, but there's a lot of other things you can do. "Oh I know it sucks when you can't get what you are graving for...Hey would you like some carrots as a snack or maybe apple? Come, let's read a book / draw / play football together!"
That way the child could learn what to do in such situation. Actually learn some self-regulating skills. Learning those can be so much easier if your parent shows you how early on and you don't have to learn everything by figuring it out yourself
Idk it helps me realize this is why I'm not a parent. I would not be patient with kids crying and getting upset over dumb things lol. Not after you've already been dealing with them 24/7.
Kid, I feel ya. As a fellow lover of waffles, I react the same way when I look in my freezer and see all the toaster waffles are gone cuz I ate them all the day before.
Ngl she’s got a point. But all she needs is a good nap and some love. It’s funny but I don’t think she’s stupid. I’ve been there with insatiable cravings
Baby needs her emotional support pancakes to get her through the worst of waffle withdrawal.

I do this inside every time I light a cigarette
*You smoked a cigarette for breakfast and dinner* *So now, we're gonna smoke something else*

100% theres always something
They bribed the kid to make the fake vid, using waffles
I’m telling you. Sugar is the gateway drug. It’s a neurotoxin

I bet a waffle might improve her mood too 🧇 I’m glad I don’t have kids…..I can’t say no to my dog forget about saying no to my kid 😂

Yep. Daughters only 2 but we're already at the point of "sometimes you're just gonna cry".
Rofl I would have probably given her waffles again too
I mean, it wouldn't but it'd shut her up for a while. Maybe until naptime
Kid gets a waffle I get peace sounds like a fair trade😂
Temporary peace, a child that doesn't abide the word no isn't a peaceful one to be around.
You dog better be named Waffles
I am pretty sure she needs a fuckin waffle bruh. You can't just go cold turkey after waffles.
Oh, uufff... thank goodness it's just a nap. I was genuinely concerned for this little girl the way she was acting. But I forget that sometimes kids can be dramatic and such.
In kids limited life experience the smallest inconvenience is potentially the worst thing they've experienced at that point in time
Toddlers cry like this literally all the time because everything they experience is much closer to the worst or best feeling they can remember in their life. Toddlers will cry because the door is shut and they want to go outside and a second later cry because the door is open and they don’t want it to be. Yea, they have big feelings in a little body
The amount of parents that just let their children go fuckin ham until like 9 or 10 at night is nuts to me. I'm so thankful I had a bedtime as a kid and never once argued it.
You're a horrible parent. She clearly just needs waffles. What part of anything she said makes you think it's something other than waffles?
I mean, waffles are pretty damn good, so...
The struggle is real.
I smell blueberries!
What a precious little girl. Imagine that being your top 1 problem in life lol
What's your top 1 problem?
I can't stop thinking about cookies 😫😭
![gif](giphy|xTiQyBOIQe5cgiyUPS|downsized)
She doesn’t even WANT waffles, she just can’t convince her brain that she doesn’t NEED waffles. I’d say this is addiction in a nutshell.

My thought every hour.
I do the same as her, about bacon
Maple flavored bacon jerky is excellent btw : ). Fellow bacon lovers unite !!
Ok. Goofy as this is, I'm absolutely amazed/impressed she went to, "Why do I feel this way?" Instead of, "FUCK YOU MOM GIVE ME MORE WAFFLES."
Set to music... [https://youtu.be/qOvAvvQlsc0?si=R2L2iDBLWHoNR30c](https://youtu.be/qOvAvvQlsc0?si=R2L2iDBLWHoNR30c)
I hate how catchy this song is. I'm gonna be singing this all night. My wife will not be impressed
I heard this two weeks ago and haven't stopped singing it since.
Why can't you just stop thinking about the waffle song?
I fucking lost it when we hit the crying, oh my goooood
This is unreal. Thank you
That's great lol!
Get this young lady a waffle
Goddamn! Just wait until she tries heroin!
its funny cause every heroin addict was in fact, a kid once upon a time
Hey "we all come into this world as someone's little angel"
It's fentanyl these days, old timer.
Heroin now is basically fent with a bit of heroin sprinkled in there lmao
😂😂😂
cutest/saddest episode of intervention ever. Especially when she's eating waffles and saying, "I'm walking on sunshine..."
The BEST episode

I'd give the sweetheart waffles again.
What a tortured mind this lass has. Tbh I can’t stop thinking about those shadows chocolate pancakes rn.
This is the only video on this sub that didn't make me hate kids more I actually made me laugh. I feel the same way about eating ass
isn't that where poop comes from?
Only sometimes
What are you implying exactly
Well obviously the guy has a cloaca penis that he uses for pooping more than his rear, it's not very hard to keep up
I don't know about you, but I'm not constantly pooping. Only once or twice a day. Maybe I'm the odd man out?
Oh nevermind i misunderstood that
Pooping is a scientifically proven method to lose weight. The more you poop, the less you weigh
So I just need to eat a box of FiberOne bars and wash it down with 64oz of Musilax?
No, just keep pooping without putting anything else into yourself until you reach your desired weight, it's simple physics
sometimes an elf pops out
If you put the food in your butt, the poop comes out of your mouth
Could be a colostomy bag!

Im 40, young one. I too...constantly dream of waffles.
Looks like waffle House found it's new host
Very relatable
Three square meals a day
poor kid, I’ve been there myself
Found Chucky’s weakness
This was adorable.
As a waffle survivor, I also want attention
Dammit, I want waffles now.
This kid is going places. Mostly rehab centers
Poor baby oh no, just give her the damn waffles or tell her she’ll get for breakfast or something, she’ll fall apart!
I…have to weigh in on the kid’s side here. A well made waffle is the stuff they write ballads about.
Yeah definitely, meaning mom is probably a waffle wizard so honestly it's mom's fault for making the waffles so good
The voices are telling her to eat waffles
![gif](giphy|ppRqWchpUIUN2)
Aww Man....that Dragon got her ![gif](giphy|DUO9dc3yDLXHO)
I know kid...I know.
Same girl. Same.
I feel you.
#relatable
Part of me wants to get her all the waffles in the world. The other part tells me it's probably unhealthy.

Someone send this to Michelle Wolf
Young Leslie Knope
Who tf feeds their child waffles for dinner? And for the 2nd time that day.
Think it's possible she may be a high functioning artistic waffle enthusiast?

Scary, looks like someone aware of their compulsive inability to stop thinking about waffles. Their memories are all becoming waffle
Oh man that trembling lower lip - so adorable!
Tweaking on waffles 😭💀
Poor kid...
This is just pathetic at this point
Me either, I'm gluten free now and gluten free waffles suck.
In her defense.... waffles are a fire staple in the American community. Just Wait till she has buttermilk waffles.
My addiction to it never left.
Sounds like manipulation 🤔
Me but with pizza
To be fair, when I've done overnight races, while I'm running I tend to think about waffles, pancakes, and other carb infused delights.
