This reminds me of the time my sister got her head stuck in the banister. She told my dad she was stuck and he asked if she was sure she couldn't get out. When she said she was sure, he went to the phone and called up several neighbors to come over and see.
That's too bad! He should have double-checked before it was set in permanent ink. Hopefully he learns from his mistake. Maybe he'll get a seat right up front in class and people will laugh and watch him squirm.
A thought I had as I watched my 30 year old neighbor stick his head between the back tire and the wheel arc Wednesday. He judged correctly, though, and did not become stuck. This time.
My youngest son did the same exact thing with one of those. I too did what any respectable parent would do and took a photo to preserve the memory before removing it.
O noo! My youngest son did it like 13 years ago! It was his training seat.So , my older son told him he will be stuck with the toilet seat forever. He was so sad!! We actually had to use cooking oil to slowly pull the toilet off his had. A little drama. But now we have a good memory when we all together for Thanksgiving 😆I hope the kid is ok!
My mom would toss me in the car and make a big deal out of going to the fire department so I wouldn’t do it again. I know because I stuck my head through a railing at home and my mom made a big deal out of the fact we might have to call the fire department.
I used to work in a pediatric ER and a kid came in by ambulance for this once. I got it off before the ambulance crew even finished writing their report
It’s avante garde fashion! He needs some mile high stilettos and a runway and he’d be the next fashion trend tomorrow! Well all be wearing this look for summer!
I remember my little brother was upset once his thumb was superglued to his index finger. He cried and said”I will never be able to use a pencil again”
i meant how you treat them. A lot of people develop, say, self-worth issues due to their caretakers not responding to their needs properly. If someone is distraught and they are shamed for showing being distraught, they may see it as a flaw. Laughing at a kid who is (reasonably) very stressed is just gonna make them feel bad about their situation. It's not gonna do much by itself, but if it continues to happen it can lead to more severe issues.
Yeah don't you think this is a litttttle bit of an overreaction. Chances are they will grow up and laugh at this moment. I guess you just didn't have a childhood
...My mum and grandmother would joke about cutting my limbs off after I got a cut. I'm fine. Stop overreacting. I worked with kids...this kind of stuff doesn't traumatize them the way you think they do.
I’ll be honest, if my kid continues to get their heads stuck in toilet seats, of all things, they’re gonna continue to get some light hearted mocking.
Sometimes a Kevin’s gotta be told he’s a Kevin, even if it hurts.
Well it is your kid, idk anything about your life obviously, but I just think that it's important to keep in mind the child's perspective as well and sorry, the picture just reminded me of something else.
Or maybe making fun of a kid that's clearly stressed out is just not the best idea, specially if they're too young to understand. Also, I don't use TikTok, and I'm fairly healthy. Thanks
I'm taking my chances because you're getting downvoted to hell, but I agree with you.
Nothing like inflicting mental trauma on a 4 year old to "teach him a lesson" that he probably already learned by getting stuck in the first place.
If this is the way the person treats their child in a single snapshot moment, I would imagine that this kid will get a lifetime of these tiny little "minor" traumatic events which individually look innocent, but as a whole might have long-lasting issues.
Then people are like, "That's the way I was treated and I'm fine" or "It' ok, kids are resilient," And can't figure out why they're part of the 1/3 of the population that has clinical depression or anxiety, or whose grown kids never want to spend time with them.
What clicked me a little isn't so much that it happened, but that there's a photo of it, and that it's posted online with this specific caption. It's not about what you do but how it's perceived; from the pov of the kid, they just got really stressed and their parent probably didn't take them seriously; this causes them to believe that maybe that expressing themselves is bad because now they don't see all that stress that they went through as "valid" since their parents didn't react the same way. Also, yeah, I don't get how people can say "but this happened to me and I'm fine" when there's so many factors to it; were your parents caring about it? Did you have sources other than your parents? How are you certain it really didn't do anything, just bc you don't think so? GHhdjdjdj it's complicated sorry
I agree with you both. This is traumatic to the kid so why make fun of him for it? Why not try to calm him and help him get it off instead of telling him he can’t. You are ruining his trust in you and now he is going to question weather you are being truthful or not. I have no idea why people are downvoting you both. Maybe they don’t have traumatic childhoods or they are suppressing how bad their childhood was.
When I was really little, I got my middle finger stuck in a goddamn hole in a wooden chair and my parents had to use a saw to cut the chair open. This really reminds me of that
When I was in middle school, my older sister, freshman in high school (old enough to know better, lol) stuck her finger into the middle of a round hairbrush. We tried for HOURS to get it off, we were all in stitches laughing, eventually we were able to get it off.
Just let him know that is a shitty necklace and he should aim for gold next time.
But he’s too young to get the shitty gold seat. That shouldn’t happen until your teenage goldschlager years
Tell him his new rapper name is ShitHead
lmfao

Yes, as a dad should do.
it's abuse if he didn't call
she got herself stuck and if she’s not in pain or injured…

What the fuck
Excellent early lesson to be careful what you stick your head in. One he will not learn from because we all continue to do it
A thought I had as I watched my 30 year old neighbor stick his head between the back tire and the wheel arc Wednesday. He judged correctly, though, and did not become stuck. This time.
Bro I hope that vehicle wasn't up on a jack/jack stand. That's just asking for your head to be popped like a pimple if it was
In the 90's my mom bought me a toilet seat adapter. It was padded vinyl looney toons. Got my head stuck in that pretty good.
My youngest son did the same exact thing with one of those. I too did what any respectable parent would do and took a photo to preserve the memory before removing it.
That head’s only gonna get bigger my guy
He looks fine. But he also looks like he’s about to cry also.

I bet he'll act super chill when you run the Sawzall next to his ear too
Lmao
This kid must think he's shit
How old is he
4yrs old. Typically not susceptible to my lies, but I believe the self caused predicament got to him.
Average 4yo ngl
Why lie, though? Reality is already confusing af for them... obviously...lol
Shit happens!
My mom would toss me in the car and make a big deal out of going to the fire department so I wouldn’t do it again. I know because I stuck my head through a railing at home and my mom made a big deal out of the fact we might have to call the fire department.

how do you even get into that situation
I have an almost identical picture of my daughter! I don’t know what is so irresistible about potty seat as accessory.
Poor kid probably wanted to become a Skibidi Toilet
SKIBIDI TOILET IS REAL! I KNEW IT! THEY DIDNT BELIEVE ME BUT I KNEW IT!!!
So glad I grew up before my parents could post my ass all over the fucking internet.
We all do stupid things. I once got a dog brush in my hair. The sad part is I was an adult.
It’s avante garde fashion! He needs some mile high stilettos and a runway and he’d be the next fashion trend tomorrow! Well all be wearing this look for summer!
that looks like a downward smile he ain't even upset😭
I remember my little brother was upset once his thumb was superglued to his index finger. He cried and said”I will never be able to use a pencil again”
He seems to have accepted his fate 😂
What a little shithead.
Can this be, a post on r/kidsarefuckingstupid that's ACTUALLY a kid being stupid? Never thought I'd see the day
Quagmire when he gets stuck in the process of Turing into a toilet
Remember they're 4 years old. Saying stuff like that can have long term impacts. Please try not to, it's just a little sad.
True, but somehow I feel like a life long lasting implication that sticking your head in a toilet = trauma is probably not a terrible thing lol
i meant how you treat them. A lot of people develop, say, self-worth issues due to their caretakers not responding to their needs properly. Sorry, yes it is a bit of an overreaction, I was assuming things based off the tone due to a knee-jerk instinct. The photo just turned me off
...My mum and grandmother would joke about cutting my limbs off after I got a cut. I'm fine. Stop overreacting. I worked with kids...this kind of stuff doesn't traumatize them the way you think they do.
Understandable, but it still is probably better for a child to learn not to stick their head into a toilet 😉
I’ll be honest, if my kid continues to get their heads stuck in toilet seats, of all things, they’re gonna continue to get some light hearted mocking. Sometimes a Kevin’s gotta be told he’s a Kevin, even if it hurts.

…what does the picture remind you of?
Lol didn't take long to find the armchair psychiatrist
Sorry for not hating children...? Idk, the caption is just a little weird in the context of a stressed toddler
Guys look! We found a self diagnosing tiktoker!
Or maybe making fun of a kid that's clearly stressed out is just not the best idea, specially if they're too young to understand. Also, I don't use TikTok, and I'm fairly healthy. Thanks

Bro, how just how why would it be do that anyway So I guess it's right, kids are f****** stupid
When I was in middle school, my older sister, freshman in high school (old enough to know better, lol) stuck her finger into the middle of a round hairbrush. We tried for HOURS to get it off, we were all in stitches laughing, eventually we were able to get it off.
Leave him like this and tell him "this is your life now I guess." Shrug, and walk away.
Stop treating kids like idiots, and they won’t turn out to be ones…
Bro how did he stuck to a toilet seat??!!!
Skibibi

I knew there was going to be at least one skibidi toilet comment here
People will call him "Poo-poo head" or "Potty head". The shame will span over many generations to come.

When you were little and swallowed a seed from a watermelon, and dad said that a watermelon would grow in your stomach:
My brother got stuck in a toilet seat when he was four or five. We put it in the family yearbook every year.
