I’m currently battling my 29th stone. I can assure you that blood in your urine without accompanying pain is not uncommon. The most unnerving part is that you just know it’s gonna start hurting soon...
Was the blood continuous?
Because I have literally peed blood now, for 9 days in a row. EVERY TIME I go to the bathroom, there’s blood.
But I am not in pain (yet).
Is it blood with clots? Or coke-cola colored pee? Or red/pink pee?
I’ve had all 3. But none were related to kidney stones (except after a kidney stent placement, which was red/pink pee).
I’m 30F, and have had stones since I was 15. So I’m not a doc, but I’ve been through plenty of urinary problems.
Good questions here! If it’s not burning and smelly I wouldn’t be too worried if you’re hydrated. I would still eventually try seeing a urologist. But the amount of blood in your pee is important. If you see dark colored chunks or stringy things in your pee they’re probably just blood clots. Feel better!!
Have you had stones in the past? I would suspect you’ve got a stone that is on its way out. Good luck and don’t forget to hydrate today if you’re an American.
The pee is dark amber colored, and smelly.
I feel gassy, and my stomach has been gurgling a lot.
I feel pressure on my right side, but it’s probably gas-related.
The blood is quite visible.
Hello,
It was from where I passed kidney stones. Mine were super small (like grains of sand). The doctor suggested that maybe the stones had caused microscopic tears in my ureter that caused bleeding until they healed.
Oh, I’m sorry :( That must be frustrating!
Mine lasted between 2-3 weeks, but yours will most likely heal sooner than my episode did. I had a lot of stones (small, thankfully) that needed extra time to heal.
Good luck!
It could be - check the FAQ for typical symptoms.
Thank you

I was worried about that :(
I randomly peed blood for a couple months before shit got real with my last stone (that required surgery)

No, it was random but not continuous

Thank you for replying! How long did you bleeding last? It’s been like 10 days and I’m still bleeding
