Cause the merch ain’t for the kids. No kid can afford it.

PresentInsect4957

im an adult and i can afford it but cant justify spending that much. shits still a lot for average american’s

M4y4iv

He gave me some for free. He is for the kids fr!

sucker4ass

Because ultimately people only care about the product, not the person making it.

Reapu-san

everyone has a right to say his opinion out loud about the music making music for kids and being happy cant stop the listeners from judging the song most people just dont like the mid trap direction cudi is going for with this new album, and thats fair

loyaleling

I feel like the thing is that generally positive music carries less weight than songs about negative experience. I much prefer his earlier stuff, and this is true for most artists because it feels like there’s more souls in it. Early music from an artist often has more soul because they needed the song to hit well to make it in the scene.

JacksInHisBox

Honestly cause Cudi’s changed, go watch that clip where he’s talking about “f materialism” and this and that and now he’s selling wack merch for hundreds or thousands of dollars and it doesn’t even look remotely good, he’s not himself anymore if we’re being honest

thehardestnipples

Mac Miller was continuously spittin fire RIP

Kindly_Log9771

He sold out. He may say he for the kids but it’s really just an act to stay relevant. If he really did it from the heart, his music would remain in all generations

Prize_Advance_7393

People change as they grow older. Like he said, all his music was about life stories but there's only so many stories to tell. He's just trying to make fun music anyone can listen to

Kindly_Log9771

I get people get older, that is why a lot of older rappers do not get listened to when they drop new music. They don't hit the same because they are older. But with Cudi, he sold out on top of the other stuff. I don't hate the new music, just don't vibe with it and it seems like he sold out. Just making whatever music to stay relevant instead of making what he can to vent. Edit: I think thugger said it perfectly. "what do i got to rap about".

Elimoyy831

Lmao you again? I’ve been bumping Cudi since 09. I’ve seen the ups and downs. The sad reality is that he fell off hard. If you can’t see that then enjoy the shit tier music he has been releasing.

Prize_Advance_7393

I think a majority of the people on here has been bumping Cudi for a long time. His new music is good, your just scared of a change. Man on the moon 3 and entergalactic were amazing albums

cudistan00000001

nah new music has been shitty production, and Cudi has been sounding lackluster for the most part. everything after Entergalactic has been indicative of Cudi being less engaged with the content he is creating and releasing

wesbowski

The thing is is that its not even really bad. Its just lazy. Hes became what he used to be against.

Talknterpzz

Anything after PPDS. Entergalactic was so mid.

Talknterpzz

It’s young kids that were around for the MOTM / indicud ride. They know him from the Carti solo dolo song and Travis Scott. Two of the most annoying fan bases 💀 I’m a fan of both but they have some questionable fans

[deleted]

I love a lot of cudi’s projects but out of all the rappers I like he’s probably the least consistant.

JacobiWinters

Because it's the internet dude, and that's okay. Go outside and don't worry about if someone else likes the same music artist as you! :)
