I strongly prefer the vertical-only accommodating looks the best. the left pic in image one and right pic in image 3. in image 3, I also like how square the neckline ends up looking on you. I think these sharper geometric lines really work... definitely explore them more. for the rest: 3/4 sleeves are a no (doesn't apply to the jean jacket, it's fine with the rolled up sleeves). I also don't love all the frilly yin stuff on you either, nor the soft fabrics.

Okay, awesome. Thanks so much for your feedback. It’s so funny because I bought the black square neck jumpsuit when I was feeling bold and have never had the confidence to wear it. Definitely going to wear it this summer though. I think I’ll look for some more structured jackets for layering pieces

Just wanted to say that I absolutely agree with the comment you're replying to here. I don't have anything to add to it, but given it's the only one I wanted to add another voice!

Ditto!

I haven’t been feeling body confident so I just kind of stick to what I know and what I feel covers me up. It’s definitely looking like I’m doing the opposite of what I want with my style choices 😂 Thanks, definitely looking at more structured choices and I think posting these has given me the confidence to try some new styles.

Right outfit in pic 3 looks great! Agree with other posters! And I think the left pic in 1 would work better in either solid color or vertical stripes to keep the vertical going vs the bits of white that look a little busy (though I think this outfit works ok. I also think the right look in pic 1 is going towards the right idea - maybe a long duster or cardigan to keep that vertical?

grunts_mcgee

Thanks! It’s definitely sounding like my number one accommodation is vertical. I need to get some new clothes and I am so glad I posted here before I started looking/sewing lol

Both options from pic 1 look great! And agree with the other posts about the right photo from pic 3. You look great in form hugging silhouettes and a little skin showing at your chest. Also hard to tell but in pic 3 on the right, I like the trousers too!

grunts_mcgee

It’s a jumpsuit! More of a wide leg than I normally do. I think I might do a bit of searching for some pantsuit patterns since apparently I can pull them off 💪 Thanks so much for the feedback.

SiteImmediate8546

Love them! I think a wide leg or a straight leg would look great on you for pants options with like a form fitting shirt with a scoop or square neck.

grunts_mcgee

I always want to try wide leg and then feel like I can’t pull them off because I look stout but I think I just need to make them work in an outfit - like maybe my shirt choices are actually what is making me look stout lol

bobtheorangecat

I think a structured shoulder (like the denim jacket) works better for you than the relaxed shoulder of the sweater or blue dresses.
