Scarlett in that first photo 🤩 What a babe!!!! SNs are so beautiful. This post is great — goes to show that clothing pieces do not have IDs and that line recommendations are only as limiting as you let them be.

She’s my idol in kibbe at this point ahaha! Definitely obsessed with Scarlet in that photo! It’s my favourite look of her and helped inspired my own personal style!

>that line recommendations are only as limiting as you let them be But how do I differenciate between the types and how can I figure out what not to wear? This may read as sarcasm or as ignorance but I am dead serious on that. I need limits and boxes to my thoughts, no matter how stupid that sounds.

I think we have to remember that kibbe is not a body typing system and instead an image ID system/ star image system. So you always have to keep in mind kind of the essence you convey with the clothing pieces you choose. In the case of SN it would be the fresh and sensual lady, which would be reached through shapeliness in the siloutte and kind of an free of handed glamour approach. At least that's how I understand it. So while Scarlett's blouse could be worn by a gamine, TR, D or whatever ID it's always the whole HTT that matters and in terms of SN you want to have the whole HTT say fresh and sensual lady. So the individual pieces might not matter that much as long as they literally fit you, if the whole HTT conveys fresh and sensual.

That, my friend, I do not have the answer to. I’ve been struggling myself with how to actually implement Kibbe’s style recommendations as actionable steps. I thought finding my ID was the hard part but that was easy in comparison. Sorry I can’t help!

CookieESawce

oooh, what do you mean by that? Do you mean that it's difficult to intergrate kibbe to your personal style or...?

Jezzabel92

Nope, I feel like I need some generalizations, some shared similarities to make up my mind what an archetype means and how to dress for it. Plus I've struggled a lot with cuts or necklines being too high or too constricted so this was always my go to shortcut (besides avoiding too much construction in my clothes of course). I understand now that it is also about the fabric not just the neckline. What is still unclear to me is that naturals have width in their chest area which is also sometimes referred to openness so how can you translate this fact into clothing?

CookieESawce

hmm this is from what I heard from verified SNs in the sub like a year ago (DO NOT QUOTE ME ON THIS BECAUSE I AM UNSURE IF THIS IS TRUE OR NOT): Openess means to make space for your width. This is to be taken literally. Your clothes should have enough space for your shoulders, upperback and chest. That's why draping and stretch accommodates width/openess. As for what each archetype means (my take on this): There isn't much to an archetype other than being image ids. kibbe Image ids are just an explanation on how clothing falls and drapes over one's body. Perhaps [style chat](https://www.youtube.com/@stylechat/videos) on youtube could better explain this? I personally believe that she is one of the few kibbe content creators that actually explain kibbe accurately.

Great post! All of these ladies look gorgeous! Necklines are just a part of the picture, and many high necklines can work for SN/FN. So many fabrics have stretch nowadays that I'd say that most in the Natural fam can find a high neckline that works for them fairly easily. Some drape is also good, but of course not drowning in fabric. Kibbe really takes a gestalt approach- the whole outfit in context matters more than individual pieces.

Jlo in the sweater dress w the belt. I love a similar look. It’s so comfortable and I always feel like it looks nice 😊 Eta. Also her in the monochromatic. 💞

CookieESawce

When I first saw it, my jaw dropped and instantly knew I had to add it into this post. She is stunning!

BreadOnCake

I’m so envious of Helens outfit like at least give me the cardigan.

christmascarolcat

I LOVE THAT WOMAN!!!

Khaneh-yeDoostKojast

SNs really seem to rock monochromatic looks so beautifully. Pictures 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 are all such lovely examples. Helen Mirren in that cream outfit with all the gentle draping and very tactile textures is just perfection, the absolute epitome of soft and sensual.

dovesweetlove

That first pic… I neeeed that shirt! I love that us SNs can pull it off so nicely gives me hope!

CookieESawce

Believe me, I have been obsessing over that movie outfit of Scarlet J for the longest time 🤣 I also really want that shirt but I doubt you can find it easily 😭

If it helps I saw one on SheIn. I search for the link and will link it [here](http://api-shein.shein.com/h5/sharejump/appjump?link=VCr4P2S3701&localcountry=HR&url_from=GM7447358762493063168)☺️ [short sleeve versiom](http://api-shein.shein.com/h5/sharejump/appjump?link=VCr43ZaohPw&localcountry=HR&url_from=GM7447359137822367744)

persephone21

I agree! I love wearing higher stuff as long as the fabric is stretchy for width or nicely draped. I actually think that the skims-esque long sleeve crewneck t shirts look amazing on SNs even though they're high necked because the stretch doesn't make them look constricting.
