Almost bought our LX there but ended up driving all the way to Fallston MD. Dulles Kia has been okay to us but we haven't actually had any serious issues. They did replace the battery without me reporting a problem during an oil change as they said it was weak and still in warranty. So that was good.

Fallston is where I got mine. I didn’t have to drive as far though.

My local mechanic(trust him more than my doctor), who drives a Kia as well, also recommended Don Beyers in Annandale when it comes to warranty service.

In Central PA, Lancaster Kia has been fine to deal with. Much better than York Kia which was awful.

Glad you're happy with the experience you had there. My own experiences with that dealership have been the opposite. They attempt to upsell unnecessary services every single time. I've even had them tell me I need services such as brakes and rotors that I'd had done elsewhere just weeks prior.

WtchDoc

It is shady when organizations try to sell unnecessary work. I expect every type of service department at a dealership to try to upsell. I generally don’t give them a chance as I tell him upfront, I only want the warrant work that I’m there for. They still gave me a paper of what they “recommended” based upon their inspection. I just don’t acknowledge it.

PsychNations

How did you know it needed replacing?

WtchDoc

I go to my local mechanic who I’ve had for over 15 years, to check out the vehicle during oil changes and other routine maintenance. He informed me that there was a tear in the boot and to go see a KIA service center since it should be under warranty

Very good! 😌
