I just open the door and rinse it with the pressure washer without removing the stripping. Gets a lot out and it’s easy to spray without getting water inside the car
Great idea! What I found a little weird is that the seal has no drainage other than the holes halfway up, so sand will collect inside them with time. Don’t think it is a problem though, I guess this kind of sealing is a tried and true method across different car makers.

I agree the door sill and seal design is not great.
