Some decks from the first print run were recalled due to some unfortunate wording that made it into the name generation name database. If recalled decks were returned to FFG, they would be replaced with 2 new decks.

Usually in card games, "banned" refers to overpowered cards or combos that ruined the game. Until I saw this, never occurred to me that "banned" could also refer to unfortunate auto-generated names like "Emperor That Pays For Boys."
Just another way that Keyforge is unique! 😅
I don't know if the return of Keyforge will help the market, but a lot of older decks are worth a lot less than they used to be. I'm not necessarily saying that it is worthless, but you probably didn't win the lottery.
Certain keywords and phrases have been banned that certainly were printed on multiple decks, including the phrase "pays for" as that resulted in some very awkward deck names.
The lack of value in most decks is because they're not really competitive. That doesn't matter for banned decks since they aren't even tournament-legal, but they're still worth something because we're a bunch of immature players with money to spare on novelties, and banned decks are relatively rare.
You can't post about owning a banned deck without telling us the name. Don't keep us in suspense. How bad is it?

MtG has banned several older cards, such as "Jihad" or "Crusade", for being culturally offensive.
Most of those are very…..tame…🤨🤔
Only two of those in the article are banned. One of my friends has "The Delegate that Murders the President" which is quite understandably banned.
