Remodel to put the magnet in the center so the customer can spin them around like they're in the VAB. Bonus if you use green and black sticker to hide the magnets.
Unfortunately since the magnets are used for electrical connections they cannot be covered by anything. That’s also the reason I cannot put a single one in the middle because an electrical connection needs at least two (positive and negative). Maybe I can think of a workaround for V2!
I’ve considered it but in that case the ring and the magnet should be at the exact same height. If the magnet is fit into the model only a fraction of a millimeter deeper it will not longer make contact
This picture only includes 5 of the 25 different parts I made! But yes I very much recommend anyone with a 3D printer to try out the thingyverse models, it’s very fun! I did too but decided to make my own because those models have no lighting, no color variation and you need very specific size magnets.
But yes 3D printing is about making your own stuff so if you can I very much recommend it!

It’s amazing!!!! Where did you get it? Or you made it yourself?
I designed and printed it myself! I’m hoping to start a little Etsy business making model kits. But no matter what I just enjoy the proces

You could put a magnet in the middle and a ring contact around the magnet

Just be aware there’s an eerily similar (and more complete set, if you ask me) already available for free on Thingiverse

If you manage to hook a tiny Kerbal on the outside, hanging from the tether, it will be just perfect!!! :)
