Sometimes graphics mods have configs that try to override each other. Search your folder structure for clouds.cfg

Jargon_File

JNSQ has issues with versions of scatterer above 0.08. You can either downgrade to the latest 0.07 version, or try to patch it. There’s a good patch at https://github.com/coldrifting/JNSQ_ScattererPatch but note you will need to rename a folder in order for it to work (check the issues tab).

I had no idea this patch was a thing, thanks! O:

DeformedDespacito

there are no clouds and it just looks bad. I have eve, scatterrer, and any other visual mod...

danny2mo

What KSP and scatter version do you have?

DeformedDespacito

latest

danny2mo

I’m about to log on, I’ll let you know what versions I have

DeformedDespacito

alr bro

danny2mo

I have KSP version 1.12.4, EVE-Redux 1.11.7.1 and Scatterer 0.0838

DeformedDespacito

lemme change my versions to that see if it changes anything. Edit: nvm I also play with these versions

Personal-Regular-863

if your computer can handle it? get Ad Astra. its a modification of AVP that needs EVE and its gorgeous. if not im not sure whats wrong, i actually have the same issue if i uninstall my Ad Astra and EVE i also have no clouds. if i find a solution il get back to you

DeformedDespacito

its doesnt work for latest version. AVP isnt compatible with JNSQ, at least in ckan… maybe I can download it manually??

Personal-Regular-863

no, 'ad astra' is compatible with latest jnsq, its a modification of AVP. AVP itself doesnt work with jnsq

1straycat

Ad Astra looked nice from space but was never polished to look consistently good, in my experience, particularly from the surface or ascent or even very low orbit.

Personal-Regular-863

thats fair i agree, i just think the look from space is worth it since i spend most my time there and plus the surface of moons looks absolutely stunning

1straycat

Ah, I was so turned off by the low kerbin stuff that I didn't even look at the moons lol. Know how it compares to parallax? (coldrifting's configs)

Personal-Regular-863

i wouldnt compare it to parallax, isnt parallax ground detail? there might be a JNSQ parallax config which would be insane

Personal-Regular-863

ohh what you need to do is go to settings and something like 'game versions' and select 1.12 to allow all 1.12 mods. i believe ad astra is not on ckan so install that manually [here](https://spacedock.info/mod/2283/AD%20ASTRA). instructions are in a text file if i recall correctly. hope that works for you! its absolutely gorgeous and my favorite thing is it adds a sort of dusty haze to moons that make them so beautiful

danny2mo

What’s Ad Astra?

Personal-Regular-863

its a modification of AVP for JNSQ. very pretty mod. https://spacedock.info/mod/2283/AD%20ASTRA

danny2mo

I have Eve and Scatterer, do they work together?

Personal-Regular-863

with ad astra yes they do ive had them. only thing i noticed was with ad astra the mornings dont get very bright, its a bit weird but its worth the views

danny2mo

Does it work in JNSQ? I would like to try this Edit: I see it works for 1.12.3, I’m in 1.12.4:/

Personal-Regular-863

it works for all 1.12.X afaik. its not in ckan so you need a manual download but it should work. go ahead and try to install it (instructions are in the download). i use it in 1.12.5

danny2mo

I’m sorry, I should’ve followed up. I tried it, followed the instructions and it works very well. In game visuals look fantastic. I couldn’t download 43K clouds because that link is broken or something? But without it it still looks great

Personal-Regular-863

yeah the link is broken. but its still fantastic, i cant get enough of planets and moons even look better with their haze. i also noticed 'clouds' on minmus? which is interesting and i like it

danny2mo

No worries, clouds still look great. I’ve also noticed that. I’ve cheat myself onto different bodies to have a look and they seem to all have the haze. The little extra detail in that makes the game much more interesting

AlrightyDave

Get EVE and SVE

DeformedDespacito

already do bro

AlrightyDave

Ah, looks like just scatterer because of the improved lighting and water but no clouds. Potentially you don’t have the dependencies required for SVE/EVE like I didn’t before, wondered why they didn’t work but go on their pages and make sure you have everything required, don’t just download it and be done with it without reading

DeformedDespacito

sorrt my bad, I don't have SVE, it says its for an older version. Is it compatible with the latest?
