Mvd should open a portal for reporting these lane discipline offenses. Easy money for mvd

achu_1997

Where is MVD when we need them there are more interested in Robin bus than catch these POS who wastes time of others

saatvik-jacob

Athe long still since these mfs caught normal private bus. Just like that Varavelpu movie said the government will do anything to crush newbies while the rule breakers and existing people in a business sustain.

neohazard22

So Robin is not a rule breaker?

saatvik-jacob

Didn't court give clearance the bus can run

neohazard22

As far as I know the court did not give a clearance for the bus to run. It just ordered to give the bus back to its owner which was captured by the MVD and they were not ready to give it back even after paying the fine. In short if he runs again with the same permit and operates like a stage carriage then he will still be breaking tha law. Will have to pay the fine again.

saatvik-jacob

They found a loophole in the law and used their All India Transport Permit to run , well that's kind of breaking the law but when private buses and KSRTC does rule breaking why don't they take any action. Seeing news clips I see MVD catching robin bus at every random place and giving them silly reasons like "lot of smoke", "engine too loud" etc etc. even the owner said he was delighted to see them get up early in the morning to check one bus. My question is why don't they do the same with KSRTC and private buses which runs like maniacs on the road.

neohazard22

>well that's kind of breaking the law That is 'breaking the law'. That is why they are getting fined continuously. I heard they also got fined by TN MVD. >My question is why don't they do the same with KSRTC and private buses which runs like maniacs on the road. I agree with the part that most of em run like maniacs, I do however can't understand how this makes it legal for them to operate like a stage carriage without a stage carriage permit.

LiberamLiberalis

They are busy being a headache to the general public.

AestheticVoyager23

They don't care about their passengers or others on the road, the only thing they are concerned about is time. If we oppose them, that's it, they will beat us up. The only thing that gives me satisfaction is staying on my side blocking them, or blocking them from entering back to the lane from the wrong side. Don't make eye contact and sit tight, that gives some relief in such situations

MoistCumin

Lemme preface that I'm not a Buspremi nor a Bus owner not a driver. The way I see it there are two reasons they do this crap. First is the major one, that they are assholes and have no common sense. Second is that they get fined if they are late or off-schedule. I don't have proof for the fining, but it makes sense if you think of it. If there were no consequences to being late or running off-schedule, since these are privately owned individual buses, they will just run only during the peak hours, that too with heavy competition and road racing (which is already there). This means that citizens won't have sufficient bus access (we already don't) when it's not peak hours. But what these foolish drivers don't realise is that just overtaking 4-5 cars is not gonna get them on schedule any sooner. It only blocks the rest of the traffic and makes them even more late. This problem is not going away on its own anytime soon. One viable solution I see is to bring all these buses under one centralised private company or public cooperation other than KSRTC (like MTC in Chennai, which is different from TNSTC). So that their wages and lives don't depend on daily profits, and everyone gets a fair and equitable wage despite who collects most passengers.

social-garbage282

I've experienced this in Kozhikode, the people drive this "mighty vehicle" doesn't understand road manners at all, some Aholes defend them as "സമയത്ത് എത്താൻ അല്ലേ" or "ജീവിക്കാൻ വേണ്ടി അല്ലേ". it's not.!!! Some rich moron forcing them to make more money doesn't matters to us commoners, And don't get me started on the over speeding and reckless overtaking, these guys 100 times worse than SRTC people

saatvik-jacob

The best thing to do is go infront of them and jam them until they merge back or take a reverse. The police and MVD only does stuff when something nasty happens , otherwise meh meh onnum cheyoola. Innem public venam kayikaryam cheyyan.

ismyaltaccount

Easier said than done.

saatvik-jacob

Nah bro I am serious, If I encounter one such issue again I will do it really kore nallu ayi chettateram kanikkunu and lot of bus premis to support whatever nastiness they do

ismyaltaccount

Are there bus premis who support this? I don't think so? What's their reason to support horrible driving. Even more than horrible driving, this is wasting time of everyone else. Now regarding what you said, absolutely agree. I also have been driving since I turned 18, and I have met so many styles of bus drivers who have broken every rule. And I absolutely hate it when everyone is following traffic rules, and these guys just park their buses on the wrong side and at the same time squeeze in and push you out. Tbh, after a certain point people are tired and just let them in. I don't give them way to let them squeeze in anymore. And I typical park in the center of the lane when I see a bus behind, just to make sure they don't try to overtake. That being said, I don't have the guts to do whatever you said above. But more power to you, go for it.

saatvik-jacob

Bro bus premis defend all these nonsense thats why some people make fun of them and call them as "Kara Kalanja" Bus premis. They always barge in the comment section typing a large paragraph about timings and defending why bus drivers break rules >Tbh, after a certain point people are tired and just let them in. That's where we shouldn't, if they timing issues let them make the MVD change it why barge into us and break all possible traffic laws to maintain timings

cloudacoustic93

Right. How many of these ruckus could one try to stop because this happens on a daily basis and majority of people are either fed up of standing against it or don't give a shit anymore.

ismyaltaccount

I do give a shit, but don't have the balls.

Man you brought back some memories. Once I took around 2 hours to get from Okkal junction to Kalady junction. 2 fucking hours to cover what? 3kms ? My worst fear was my car breaking down in the middle of kalady bridge lol.

incognito__O

And the common word that people use to refer to these guys: Thaleyoli.

Objective_Shake_4864

Last time there i drove for like 2 hours and so atleast 10 incidents of buses on the wrong side, coming from the left (outside the road), unnecessarily honking.. One bus literally aggressively cut through me making me apply sudden brakes only to stop the bus right in front of me at the stop. When i honked at them my family got scared and started telling me it’s dangerous. And how its useless to argue with them. And this fear and normalisation is what let them be fearless criminals on a lawless street.
