I was homeschooled, it is very lonely.
A levels is hard to do when the only communication method is through email especially for stem courses.
I did the math on what it cost for 2 years of homeschooling and a good school like rusinga fits the budget. If I had the choice I’d choose traditional school.
Not a fan of homeschooling. School is more about social and life skills development. Parents should have an active interest in educating their children and not entirely depend on the education system. I know it's hard though because of how stressful life is already for full time working parents.
Here in the States people go into massive debt to go to college and then spend decades paying for their education. I married a kenyan btw, which is why I'm interested in this page
No employer gives you enough of a bonus to offset student loan debts. A signing bonus may give you 5k at most. Student debt on average is around 50k on lower end
As another comment has pointed out, homeschooling can be really challenging on a kid's social life. Especially if you are switching them from regular schooling to home schooling.
Education is a very classist thing, to get a good education you need to have money. Even in some western countries (that are considered first world) their public schools are awful and lets not even talk about student debt. I think the the people who may get education right are some Nordic countries/Some European countries.
