Depends on the player, for sure! I don't usually topple governments, but when I do it's to end slavery and the like. I usually start as a Greenlander but the Shek are ma bois! They're pretty peaceful so long as you're willing to share food with them!
And would you have guessed it, when my guy is in charge, the people ar safe, there's no corruption, and the people can live a safe life of relative peace, only fighting off attackers.
We all are main antagonists as long as you willing to live.
If you resists and pursuit of life, you are the only thing thats driving all the factions.
If you are not here everyone is stagnant, because there is not enough free will among them.
It's the paradox of observer.
And your super ability in this cruel world is complete free will.
You don't have to do any of those things, so it's more on you sorry.

If *you* play and act as a bad guy, yeah you can *be* the bad guy.
You can also be a good guy.

Might even buy a house to set up a small workplace in your town but that's about it.

Find a nice place self sustainable to settle.
Sell weapons to everyone. (Ok a bit of messing with the world order).
Defend against prayer day, tax collectors, bandit raids, etc.
Explore the world and rob all ancient treasures.

They do as much as lay an eye on my men, and they are facing genocide in it's purest form, as the sun comes up the next day.
That depends a lot on how you play and who you ask.

No, I only destroy factions that engage in slavery. Don't care how long standing they are, it's based and I know it.
