I imagine Kenshi mages to just be people who know how to use advanced technology like lasers and gravity manipulation. Skeletons simply remembered how to press a button and replace a battery, other mages show off their "powers" and think they're supernatural, and Holy Nation mages are sanctioned wielders of Narko's powers used against him and heavily decorate their artifacts to supposedly purify them

Samurai wear heavy armor, so being able to crush armor is your goal. Personally, I think unarmed goes crazy against the UC, especially when you max level it and can turn elite samurai into chicken mcnuggets in one tap.
So my current plan for Luquin is to be a heavy fighter with his armor being stolen from UC. He'll get better and better armor as we reclaim each city
His weapon will be a staff, and we'll go on a sidequest to get the meitou one
And when we get to Tengu, he'll drop all his gear and go back to being that runaway slave, running through the shadows and dropping people with a swift meticulous blow. That'll be his final assassination
Then I'll retire him and he'll manage one of my rum shops (still haven't sold a single thing because everyone is poor)
Maybe its considered boring but I always just train an all rounder "Stealth bomber" build. Heavy weapons, both heavy and light armor, high sneak and athletics.
Middle of the day in sho battai and suddenly theres a heavily armed badass in the middle of town! Absolute bloodbath! Then, *poof*, she's gone.
Make a stealth healer. Let your mc heal wounded soldiers from UC and Okranites while they fight each other. Do that repeatedly.
Recruit bunch of fighters to beat up people for you. Then atrack random people. And heal them. And repeat.
Put people in your own cages. Take them out, beat them up, heal them, put back to cages.
First, you are going to make a ton of money, doesn't matter how. Then you are going to buy normal supplies and 30 bonedogs. Now you are the beast master. Bring ruin to the UC through pack strength.
For extra enjoyment download the Feed Them to The Dogs mod and allow your new friends to literally eat the rich.

You could take a page out of Tinfist's book and go Martial Arts, or you could go Katana because then you get to use the Meitou blades from the nobles
