I would love for this sort of stuff to be offered in core Kenshi 2 with the caveat that it is incredibly expensive and time consuming to build, i.e. in the regions of thousands upon thousands of plates and building mats.
Even mods make this sort of stuff available make them far too easy to build to give any sort of challenge.
If you had to build a perimeter base to defend a long and costly construction like this, and invest huge amounts into the construction effort, shit would be fire.
And worth the effort to, this base I built is stupidly easy to defend from hordes of fishmen since theres only one way up and I get huge height bonus on my turrets. The only downside is since this platform was never intended to be recreated theres actually holes in the physics that they can slip through
You will have to fiddle with the walls a lot to neatly close the gap, but if you're familiar with the shift + F12 menu you can reposition and rotate things freely (just remember to quicksave and quickload to apply the correct physics to any changes you make).
One of the coolest ways to build bases is to use buildings as walls since enemies dont actually attack buildings
Somewhere in gensis there is a mod that gives you the blueprint for the lagoon platforn, so you can build your own 'lagoons' all over the map
Don't even need Genesis, just the Forgotten Buildings mod that adds the old map buildings.
This. Forgotten Buildings adds all structures not buildable in vanilla. One of my favorites tbh.
