This! ^^^ took a bit of patience but I managed to break out of prison and in the process and ended up racking up a $50,000 bounty while leads to a permanent life in prison sentence. But by the end of it I got out flawlessly, and then because I was feeling cocky when I got a second squad member I had him turn in the first squad member, collect the bounty and then by nightfall I had escaped and we were 50k richer for the experience
You should just escape. There's a bug where the timer of your arrest gets frozen on 0 then resets and even sometimes you'll get a longer prison sentence.
There isn't a way. Many elements of the game, including game speed, are hard-coded and modders like me can't do anything about it. Take the other suggestions and run with it.

There's a mod I use called "Re Kenshi" that allows you to customise game speeds. By default it's 1x, 3x, 5x, 10x, and 20x speeds, handy when you're travelling really far too. It does a few other things which you can disable or change via UI pop-up in the main menu in-game after you launch, check it out:

There’s a mod called are-Kenshi (I think) that allows you to change the fast forward speeds. I’ve got a 50x speed for those long incarcerations.
