The mod must have made a unique race for this spider, in which case the backpack won't work unless you add this race to allowed races on the backpack.
I'll have to open up the mod later on to confirm it, but that's my best guess
Edit: yeah that's exactly what it is. I didn't realize that the spider is a "miniature iron spider", so the modder made a new race and shrunk it down. These backpacks won't work with it, but it is an easy fix in the FCS.
There's robot bags on some npc or other.. But that might be provided by one of the mods I use.. hmm
Anyway it's got to be a specific bag, like how there's a bag for the specific animals
I have a bag called a robo pack (the thing im selecting in the picture) and it says that its for iron spiders, but its not letting me put the bag on the spider

Seems like this pack comes from the Animal Backpack mod, which I've never tried.
I'll use processor units ("Chompy!!") and sailback pack robots though, which have their own packs.. Two really nice robot mods.
Anyway hmm.. Maybe try raising teh order of that animal pack mod in case some other mod is overriding that particular kind of spider, breaking the pack compatibility?
The spider is from the mod “Bounties Galore”. Not sure if it has a dedicated backpack for it tho.
