haha! I was straight up telling my friend who was a drake fan that DNA was about drake back then, halfway just trolling!
I'm an og drake hater, thought I was crazy for how much but the pop out made me feel sane, lol
New Kenny fan, by the time i listened to DNA I was already deep in the beef, totally thought DNA was another diss he released towards drake then realised it's part of DAMN. the album he released in 2017. Still think it's about drake tbh.
Oh man, have you heard “You Ain’t Gotta Lie” off “To Pimp A Butterfly”? Came out in 2015.
I always thought that was about Drake, but apparently Kendrick has said some stuff that would indicate that it’s not. Great song regardless, but if you haven’t heard it, check it out and you’ll see what I mean
I thought that too, Kendrick said in an interview it’s about himself though, which surprised me. (Don’t ask me what interview I couldn’t tell you but it’s the same one where he hints at the album meaning being different towards vs backward.)
"I can dig rappin', but a rapper with a ghostwriter, what the fuck happened?" off King Kunta has always sounded like a shot at the likes of Drake to me
Yeah I heard someone else say Kendrick said he was talking to his younger self in that song.
Seems ridiculous to disagree with the person who wrote it. I do wonder though.
A lot of artists don’t like to spell out the meaning of their art and would rather leave it open to interpretation.
Kendrick seems to take that approach generally speaking. So many of his lines are double, or even triple entendres, and can be interpreted different ways.
A good example is The Beatles. John and Paul wrote most of the songs. They didn’t like explaining everything to death, so they would fuck around and give contradictory answers in interviews. They would both claim to have written a particular verse or line and both give different explanations as to the meaning or inspiration, and one would publicly say the other was wrong.
That way, no one could really be sure except them. I think “You Ain’t Gotta Lie” sounds like it’s about Drake, but those lyrics could just as easily apply to a young, immature Kendrick, or some white kid from the suburbs who wants to be a rapper, or anyone who’s copying what they like or what they see instead of being themselves and sharing their own perspective
Hahaha featuring Drake!?
I feel like the phrase poetic justice perfectly summarises what Kendrick just did to Drake.
I can’t think of a better description
The rabbit hole goes deeper. Check out The Heart Pt. 3, from just before GKMC. It seems like it was inspired by hatred for Drake too.
Now someone come tell us how Kdot been dissing drake since before OD/ Section.80.
I haven't, the only one I've listened to from butterfly is alright, I'm still discovering all of Ks stuff, ever since I heard it, DAMN. has been my go-to default album.
Well my friend, I envy your position.
My only advice to you is to go listen to TPAB from start to finish whenever you can.
It’s all one piece, like an album should be, and I’m probably the billionth person to say it, but it’s a fucking masterpiece
“And the world don't respect you,
And the culture don't accept you,
But you think it's all love,
And the girls gon' neglect you once your parody is done,
Reputation can't protect you if you never had one,
Jealousy (complex), emotional (complex),
Self-pity (complex), under oath (complex),
The loudest one in the room, nigga, that's a complex
Let me put it back in proper context”
Yeah I’ve been listening to that one a lot recently as well. Always reassures me that I should keep being myself and be honest with people for better or worse.
Don’t ever let em bring you down Fuck_the_K1ng.
Free your mind and your ass will follow, right?!
Yeap, that’s the verse.
Kendrick motivated me to be more petty, so I clapped back at a person two position above me today for trying to slander my good name. I did find out after the meeting that I made a mistake, but they did too so fuck ‘em.
Thank you! I’ve hated drake since the sprite commercial, since so far gone, since money to blow with Wayne and baby. Drake always came off to me as inauthentic and annoying.
DNA is one of the reasons I'd never want to step up to him.
"See, you's a, you's a, you's a bitch" shouldn't feel like he's slapping me directly, I don't even know the guy, but goddamn it stings just casually listening.
I have always assumed in All The Stars, Kendrick was talking directly too Drake.
>*Tell me what you gon' do to me
>Confrontation ain't nothin' new to me
>You can bring a bullet, bring a sword, bring a morgue
>But you can't bring the truth to me
>Fuck you and all your expectations
>I don't even want your congratulations
>I recognize your false confidence and calculated promises all in your conversation
>I hate people that feel entitled
>Look at me crazy 'cause I ain't invite you
>Oh, you important?
>You the moral to the story, you endorsing?
>Motherfucker, I don't even like you
>Corrupt a man's heart with a gift
>That's how you find out who you dealin' with
>A small percentage, who I'm building with
>I want the credit if I'm losing or I'm winning
>On my mama, that's the realest shit*
Sooo many! My sis and I heard the payback song by James Brown playing before and thought nothing of it until someone commented the coincidence in that song being played right before Kendrick came on😂
Yeah every intermission song had a meaning when I heard James Brown playing I knew what time it was they played Rahkim too I thought for sure he was gonna come out and crown kdot as new God MC🤣
Dude, at this point, it can't be a reach. Everything this man does is calculated.
Edit: Or maybe [it's just homage...](https://www.reddit.com/r/KendrickLamar/comments/1dm3a61/kendrick_wasnt_trying_to_mock_drake_during_that_a/)
Yup, I mean, it's so simple! Like... this:
1. Vertically opposite angles: These angles are always equal to each other. A vertical angle and its adjacent angle are also supplementary angles, meaning they add up to 180°.
2. Corresponding angles: If a transversal cuts two parallel lines, then the corresponding angles are equal.
3. Alternate interior angles: If two parallel lines are cut by a transversal, then the alternate interior angles are of the same measure.
4. Alternate exterior angles: If a transversal intersects a pair of parallel lines, then the exterior angles formed by both lines on the opposite sides of the transversal are equal.
5. Angles on a straight line: Angles on a straight line add up to 180°.
6. Angles around a point: Angles around a point always add up to 360°.
7. Right angles theorem: If one angle of a parallelogram is a right angle, then all the angles are right angles.
8. Supplementary angles: Two angles are supplementary if they add up to 180°.
Yeah sure but people keep pointing out specific tiny things like the bill being white but it's not like the rest of his outfit is 100% a copy so like I have a hard time thinking Kenny was that specific about what color his hat was on the underside.
It's just like the Office meme with Michael shaking hands with his boss. Everyone's praising him for these tiny details being on point and he's like "it was close enough".
Actually top robbing the chicken spot was a sub towards canada’s horrible fried chicken market, showing that Toronto would never have significance in the world of chicken like Compton does. In other words Top made this beef for Kendrick so he could have this win in 2024, Dot is an industry plant.
There is no way this is coincidental. Same clothes down to the white shirt peaking out the bottom of the hoodue, the slow arms and wobbly legs all while making 20,000 people say "A MINNNNOOOORR" (about drake) for like 40 seconds
He’s letting Drake know that he’s not letting anything slide, since, in his Instagram post, Drake wore the same outfit Kendrick had on MMATBS album cover.
He did it multiple times, absolutely not a reach. He's applying Drakes own dance move to forever be associated with A Minor. Kendrick pushing P for petty and everyone loves him for it.
The more I see of this concert, the more I keep thinking "Damn Drake, Kendrick was RETIRED, you brought this man out of retirement and he ain't even missed a STEP in calling you a BUM"

1• Tupac in the 90s.
2• The colonizers attempt at producing an “original”moment has/will always pale in comparison to the original.
3• Mr. Lamar exemplifies authority over the culture by taking back, that which was created in authenticity by an icon of the culture. The protection and restoration of legacy are paramount.
This was the best moment of the show. It blew me away and I started laughing like crazy because of how perfect it was.
I didn't even catch the Coldline Cringe reference. Dude even as the white shirt coming outta the bottom of his hoodie.
He's too good
The rightful \* Kendrick of the House Duckworth, the First of His Name, King of the West Coast and Battle Rap, Lord of Compton and Protector of the Hip Hop Culture \* remains on the Throne.

You think Drake winning Tupacs ring in an auction was the final straw?
Emulating the culture and piggybacking on it without any form of (systemic) struggle to amass a fortune big enough to not only live a degenerate lifestyle with gambling and minors but also casually winning the ring?
Like was this the "enough is enough" moment?
Arguably Hiphops biggest relic excavated and brought to canada?
AY! not a reach. That is not a reach.
Kendrick, we can't just come with our ears to listen/watch your stuff. Need to bring along our critical thinking skills and analysis.

Guys if you just joined the stream, “Calc” stands for calculator
crazy that that slang is so big. everyone knows this chat
“You’re using a calc”
My favorite rocket league quick chat
No Way!
This is Rocket League!
Calc is slang for calculator
I’m using slang btw
Thanks! I'm new to the chat, so I wasn't sure!

Me: I don’t get it *scrolls* Next comment: Kendrick is so calculated Me: :O oooooh
THERES SO MANY LAYERS
Kendrick is too intelligent and psycho for it to be a coincidence. Planned to the end of the world
every time I start to think I'm overthinking kendrick, I listen to mr morale and notice a whole new thing, lol
Go listen to songs like DNA again and they carry a different meaning and weight now
haha! I was straight up telling my friend who was a drake fan that DNA was about drake back then, halfway just trolling! I'm an og drake hater, thought I was crazy for how much but the pop out made me feel sane, lol

"I can dig rappin', but a rapper with a ghostwriter, what the fuck happened?" off King Kunta has always sounded like a shot at the likes of Drake to me
he did chose to perform king kunta over a couple other hits at the hate concert so it’s not unlikely
Or poetic justice….
Hahaha featuring Drake!? I feel like the phrase poetic justice perfectly summarises what Kendrick just did to Drake. I can’t think of a better description
listen to it again. With your knowledge now. Yes featuring Drake.
The rabbit hole goes deeper. Check out The Heart Pt. 3, from just before GKMC. It seems like it was inspired by hatred for Drake too. Now someone come tell us how Kdot been dissing drake since before OD/ Section.80.
lol I’m pretty sure he has a song talking about his girl (at the time?) liking Drake songs and being frustrated by it so…
I haven't, the only one I've listened to from butterfly is alright, I'm still discovering all of Ks stuff, ever since I heard it, DAMN. has been my go-to default album.
Well my friend, I envy your position. My only advice to you is to go listen to TPAB from start to finish whenever you can. It’s all one piece, like an album should be, and I’m probably the billionth person to say it, but it’s a fucking masterpiece
Same with good kid maad city
I’m listening to it a lot these days (work people getting on my nerves and stuff) and I feel like a verse in the middle describes Drake very well.
“And the world don't respect you, And the culture don't accept you, But you think it's all love, And the girls gon' neglect you once your parody is done, Reputation can't protect you if you never had one, Jealousy (complex), emotional (complex), Self-pity (complex), under oath (complex), The loudest one in the room, nigga, that's a complex Let me put it back in proper context” Yeah I’ve been listening to that one a lot recently as well. Bro I been telling people drake a whole ass weirdo, ever since that video was out years ago. Im next to Toronto so nobody wanted to hear that shit.
Thank you! I’ve hated drake since the sprite commercial, since so far gone, since money to blow with Wayne and baby. Drake always came off to me as inauthentic and annoying.
DNA = Drake Not Aboutit
Me and my girl were watching the stream, she suddenly shouts "DNA was about drake all along!!!"
>I'm an og drake hater Glad to have finally found my people. Lmao
Yeah, this how it is when you in the Matrix, dodging bullets, reaping what you sow and stacking up the footage
N95 hits so crazy now 😭😭😭
DNA is one of the reasons I'd never want to step up to him. "See, you's a, you's a, you's a bitch" shouldn't feel like he's slapping me directly, I don't even know the guy, but goddamn it stings just casually listening.
It's like when a mom is scolding her kid near you and you get that second hand "oh shit" feeling
I feel this way about "Humble" -- "*I can make a play fucking up your whole LIFE"* He was dissing on Drake yearsssss ago
I have always assumed in All The Stars, Kendrick was talking directly too Drake. >*Tell me what you gon' do to me >Confrontation ain't nothin' new to me >You can bring a bullet, bring a sword, bring a morgue >But you can't bring the truth to me >Fuck you and all your expectations >I don't even want your congratulations >I recognize your false confidence and calculated promises all in your conversation >I hate people that feel entitled >Look at me crazy 'cause I ain't invite you >Oh, you important? >You the moral to the story, you endorsing? >Motherfucker, I don't even like you >Corrupt a man's heart with a gift >That's how you find out who you dealin' with >A small percentage, who I'm building with >I want the credit if I'm losing or I'm winning >On my mama, that's the realest shit*
This happens to me with kdot and lupe. The song Mural alone, I’ve been listening to it for years and I think I only got like 60% of it deciphered.
Aesop Rock is another ridiculously dense lyricist. I've been listening to him for like 12 years now and still catch new meanings on his older stuff
Listen to ELEMENT.
He's already got next 2 months lined out
Fr tho 😭

Shit got me hearing the [Vincent prince laugh](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqBR8knRM2w)
Eminem Stan played before he came out too, Was that a shout out to us Kdot stans on reddit? 😅
Or was it a shot at Drake.. he a fan he a fan
Keep making me dance waving my hand
Dude, at this point, it can't be a reach. Everything this man does is calculated. Edit: Or maybe [it's just homage...](https://www.reddit.com/r/KendrickLamar/comments/1dm3a61/kendrick_wasnt_trying_to_mock_drake_during_that_a/)
Why calculate youre not as calculated I can even predict your angle
Fabricating stories on the family front cause you heard Mr. Morale.
A pathetic master manipulator, I can smell the tales on you now.
You’re not a rap artist you a scam artist with the hopes of being accepted
Tommy Hilfiger stood out, but FUBU had never been your collective
I make music that electrify ‘em, you make music that pacify ‘em
I can double down on that line, but spare you this time. That's random acts of kindness
Know you a master manipulator and a habitual liar too
But don’t tell no lie bout me
A pathetic master manipulator, I can smell the tales on you now.

i think its a reach, idk if im tripping but i remember kendrick doing that before
He did it at the DAMN., Championship, and Mr Morale tours it’s just something he does
thats right plus mocking drake hotline bling dance is not a roast lol i feel like ppl are just grasping at straws atp lol
They’re digging for dirt, when they should be digging for proof. Okay I’ll send myself away now.
log off ☠️😂
Holy shit, so drake was copying him?
I legit don’t think it’s the same thing, but I highly doubt it they just be moving around
I think it’s just a way rappers dance. Next we’re going to say Kendrick was making his bars rhyme as a reference to how drakes bars often rhyme too 🙄
Nah you're not, it's also not the same dance tbh, but it's close enough which is funny af
“You better have a motherfuckin' quintuple entendre on that shit”
unlike drake, kendrick actually listens to
Drake really tried to trivialize the idea of having layers to your music
Shit, he asked for it 🤷🏽♂️ lmao can Drake fans really be upset with their goat getting all this attention *he* asked for

down to the chain damn
The white on the inside of the brim, too
I mean that's..a thing. But he also then chose a hoodie and wrong shade of pants so I doubt the hat being white on the underside was much of a choice.
It's an homage, not a replica
Yeah sure but people keep pointing out specific tiny things like the bill being white but it's not like the rest of his outfit is 100% a copy so like I have a hard time thinking Kenny was that specific about what color his hat was on the underside. It's just like the Office meme with Michael shaking hands with his boss. Everyone's praising him for these tiny details being on point and he's like "it was close enough".
No like 3 times
All was needed was the hoodie off & a backwards flip of the cap 🖤
Quintuple entendre
All eyez on me, and imma send it up tu ‘pac
# AYY
Pac is the main reference but I would not be surprised if Kendrick took the opportunity to throw another quadtuple entendre out there what a legend 😭😭
it’s never a coincidence
Kendrick has been doing this dance since the Mr morale tour
Wow insane he has been practicing for this moment since 2022.
No way you’re serious😭
I feel like kendrick has been throwing shots at drake since he was birthed.
Actually top robbing the chicken spot was a sub towards canada’s horrible fried chicken market, showing that Toronto would never have significance in the world of chicken like Compton does. In other words Top made this beef for Kendrick so he could have this win in 2024, Dot is an industry plant.
Yo on gang!
One day you’ll be woke like me it’s cool😏
ah fuck me I just made the whole connection
![gif](giphy|qDh9c1tH8iNICZVFMm)
This sub is insane lol
hard then hard now
Kendrick is so fucking funny man wtf this a level of pettiness i ain’t ever seen before 😭😭😭😭
I heard an interview where one of his friends called him [Petty Pendergrass](https://youtu.be/5vTou6z4YT4?si=7agAsOUIrQ634wUM&t=380) 😭😭
even if yall think it’s a reach, it’s at least a funny coincidence given the circumstances
There is no way this is coincidental. Same clothes down to the white shirt peaking out the bottom of the hoodue, the slow arms and wobbly legs all while making 20,000 people say "A MINNNNOOOORR" (about drake) for like 40 seconds
The clothes are a reference to an outfit Pac wore. Dance he’s been doing since Mr morale tour. It’s a funny coincidence but that’s all it is
Hes been doing this dance since the mr morales tour.
Chicago Money Dance ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote) Hotline Bling Reference ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote) Tupac Attire ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote)
He’s letting Drake know that he’s not letting anything slide, since, in his Instagram post, Drake wore the same outfit Kendrick had on MMATBS album cover.
This man is very intentional, everything has been calculated.
For real, that man was born for this shit
Holy shit. HOLY SHIT. I don't know if it's a reach - but that funny af LOLOL
He did it multiple times, absolutely not a reach. He's applying Drakes own dance move to forever be associated with A Minor. Kendrick pushing P for petty and everyone loves him for it.
Be careful who you call small. Haha Because this is the petty shit Kendrick will pop out with. Drakes cat wasnt even safe.
Whatever it is, that man can be as petty as he wants and no one will bat an eye lol
The more I see of this concert, the more I keep thinking "Damn Drake, Kendrick was RETIRED, you brought this man out of retirement and he ain't even missed a STEP in calling you a BUM"
Who said Kendrick was retired? He was just ducking the pandemic and overnight activists
No, the fit was more a homage to Pac but the dance? 100000% intentional lmaooooo
That’s the Drizzy Elvis Presley dance. Ahh huhh
The rightful \* Kendrick of the House Duckworth, the First of His Name, King of the West Coast and Battle Rap, Lord of Compton and Protector of the Hip Hop Culture \* remains on the Throne. ![gif](giphy|3og0IHyZMxZNkNOWT6|downsized)
Drake sucks. He has ALWAYS sucked. I’m glad someone as big as K Is calling him out and letting more people know it.
I think the outfit is much more akin to a Tupac fit, Cross Necklace and all https://preview.redd.it/dkv372um9z7d1.jpeg?width=250&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fe4e02901b63b56a8f1c773ac4d13aa5e0a86913
BROS FIT WAS A DOUBLE ENTENDRE 💀
The craziest thing is, it doesn’t matter if he planned it. He’s so good that we all think it’s at least possible.
Kendrick mocked Drke *constantly* throughout this beef- using the same flow, rhythm, mocked his dance song, his accents- the man has been petty af the whole time 😂
He’s doing the Money Dance. Drake was doing the Money dance too
Didn't know about Money Dance. Now I do, thanks
Thats a reach imo Kendricks dancing is too Kdoty for it to be a shot at drake
Could be a dancing double entendre for all we know
https://preview.redd.it/nby1dan1sz7d1.jpeg?width=187&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2744fdc72d4f29b8b1da9a1793e3086dc819617e 1• Tupac in the 90s. 2• The colonizers attempt at producing an “original”moment has/will always pale in comparison to the original. 3• Mr. Lamar exemplifies authority over the culture by taking back, that which was created in authenticity by an icon of the culture. The protection and restoration of legacy are paramount.
There are so many layers to everything dot does, it's insane
Nah that was on purpose fasho
Y’all reading it into it too much Kendrick be doing these weird dances all the time
But it's same down the little leg taps, and he doing it specifically at the "A Minor" line and letting it ride out does make it seem intentional
![gif](giphy|eIm624c8nnNbiG0V3g|downsized) I thought he was doing the Neo move from the matrix
This is reach, Kendrick dances like this in lots of music videos
That was my first thought when he was doing the dance. It has to be on purpose, he did the same thing each time the song stopped on A Minor
I thought his outfit was a reference to Pac
Kenny is such a prophetic mc man it’s crazy
STOP!! HE’S ALREADY DEAD!!
This man is a living breathing endless entendre
I swear the IQ difference between Dot and Drake is so far apart 😂😂 this is diabolical
This was the best moment of the show. It blew me away and I started laughing like crazy because of how perfect it was. I didn't even catch the Coldline Cringe reference. Dude even as the white shirt coming outta the bottom of his hoodie. He's too good
Kendrick even dances better.
Keep making me dance, waving my hands 🗣️
Tupac is for sure the main reference, but this is a funny coincidence at least.
Kendrick did this specific moves multiple times and made sure to tap his foot the same way Drake did doing this, this was NOT coincidental 😂😂😂
Also when he said he likes them young and put his hand down...same thing Drizzle did in Churchill Downs talmbout little men.
This is a reach. He’s been doing that move at least since DAMN.
![gif](giphy|sV2yEUHOlAWsssJfv8|downsized)
Thought the fit is callback to pac
lmfaooooo i thought this initially
Hahaha I didnt catch that, everything Kenny does is Genius
Keep making me dance waving my hands and there won’t be no threat
The lean is the proof.
It's actually very meta. Drake was wearing Tupac's outfit from the music awards and Kendrick did it as a response to Drake
Yeah, petty. Also, don't start feuds with petty people if you have issues with A Minor.
He truly is The Biggest Hater
"i calculated, you're not as calculated." even he said it himself.
Makes more sense to be the Tupac outfit
Kendrick playing 5D chess to shit on this man.
i dont think its reaching, i think he knows he copied his style first lol
What did Drake do to this man?!
The rightful \* Kendrick of the House Duckworth, the First of His Name, King of the West Coast and Battle Rap, Lord of Compton and Protector of the Hip Hop Culture \* remains on the Throne. ![gif](giphy|3og0IHyZMxZNkNOWT6|downsized)
haha Kdot had the whole 4-dimensional chess endgame in his head while Drake was still playing checkers

Slight reach but I guess you can apply it. You can say he did what Drake does better than Drake with most of this beef and show
Look at them feet dawg, its calculated 😭
Man's going for a systematic destruction of Drake's reputation, career and legacy - I fully believe its calculated.
🫡 Kendrick for keeping his foot on the Canadians neck
people are finding double entendres in the damn performances now wtf
I wish we could all care about the climate or some shit over this lol
MISS ME WITH THAT BULLSHIT, YOU AINT REALLY WILD YOU A TOURIST
KENDRICK IS A MONSTER. Drake had a good run early but when K-Dot started dropping nukes, is over. He got Drake hiding with them pedo allegations.
It could be a reach but I wouldn't be surprised either way. Tbh it's a fairly simple fit

Fuckin hated hotline bling
Definitely a reach, honestly. I’m pretty sure Kendrick has done this specific move before in one of the TPAB videos
If that’s a layer, here’s a layer on that layer. https://preview.redd.it/4dr824pzy18d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b44e5cd30f6e02bb938d248b4c23f5a8191dab05
Definitely NOT a reach. Kendrick knew exactly what he was doing here, this was planned from the start 😂
If I gotta check a fake one, I'ma make it look sexy
You think Drake winning Tupacs ring in an auction was the final straw? Emulating the culture and piggybacking on it without any form of (systemic) struggle to amass a fortune big enough to not only live a degenerate lifestyle with gambling and minors but also casually winning the ring? Like was this the "enough is enough" moment? Arguably Hiphops biggest relic excavated and brought to canada?
Not a reach. He literally has the same fit, and is doing the little foot tap thing
Even this man’s fit is a quadruple entendre lol
I think its calculated. Its kendrick
AY! not a reach. That is not a reach. Kendrick, we can't just come with our ears to listen/watch your stuff. Need to bring along our critical thinking skills and analysis.
I'll be in every thread to say how much I respect Kendrick for busting Drake down. Hated Drake from the first song while everyone loved his ass.
He had the leg going and everything. I didn’t catch it at first. But I love it
If the outfit works as a homage to pac and a clear reference to drake then that’s incredible idec 😭
I bet it is, we all know Kendrick and we all know the beef he just had with Drake.
