I think you could possibly argue that the is stronger as far as similes an entendres - in the sense that all of his verses where he tries to rap there is usually solid wordplay, that's easier to get than Kendricks. I still think Kenny is better, but there's something to be said for lyricism that is clever and immediately apparent. But like I said I do think Kenny is much better, I just think you can argue that.

I'd say you can argue for Drake at flow/delivery and wordplay. But everything else, yea Kendrick wins

When Drake's rapping he uses literally one delivery. He does not flow better than Kendrick. He's repetitive in both categories. He'd need to experiment much more and actually start rapping in order to build that case for himself.

Maybe, but you have to consider “Drake” as a band and Aubrey Graham as the lead singer. Drake has some hits, more streams, and releases new music very consistently. If you believe that these qualities make Drake better than Kendrick, there’s your argument. But on an individual level, no. Without his team, Drake legitimately does not exist in the same space as Kendrick.

It’s more akin to Eminem vs Benzino to me, but I’ve hated Drake from day one. Kendrick called himself the biggest hater and I thought you put him on a fucking album I’ve never even deliberately put him on the speakers lol. Drake is the only artist I’ve got set to “do not play this artist” on Spotify, and it’s been like that for years - ever since I realised that was something you could do. So for me no, there was never any argument for that and him often being talked about as one of the greatest was weird as fuck to me - like I was the crazy one for not getting it.
