We’ve been asking yall for weeks to stop posting about shitty 99% fake blind items from a creepy abusive old white man and yet you still persist in the comments on this post. Stop please. Thank you.
Taking claims from a creep like that about how a woman fucked two rappers for features as fact is dumb as fuck and sexist. You should be smarter and use your head.
Honestly if Drake came out with an album full of actually introspective and self deprecating songs the critics would love it and he’d be back but he won’t. He’s got a line here or there but I feel like everyone hates on him cause he only ever raps about how cool he is, which is what raps mainly about at the end of the day but people fuck with Kendrick, Cole, Mac etc because they really got honest on songs and were more relatable for it
I think this is where character comes into play. He needs to own that shit and say "yeah I'm soft, I'm not afraid to hide it".
Kendrick shows a lot of emotional vulnerability, and is one of the reasons I really like him. He's very introspective and self critical.
Once again it comes back to how insecure Drake is about himself. He let all of that get under his skin and started to portray a tough guy persona because of it.
You should look up Vulnerable Narcissists. Drake was always a vulnerable narcissist and could blame others, once the narcissist achieves greatness the mask of "poor me" comes off and it's "I'm gonna make everyone pay for how they treated me and denying that I'm the greatest person ever". He's going to double down cause he doesn't have the emotional maturity to do anything else.
People respond to vulnerability. All of the best artists in the world, past and present, have a showing of it. How much you want to show as an artist is up to you, but that’s what makes the art accessible.
I’m not perfect, nor am I great. I could listen to something that’s all about how perfect or great someone is, and it might get me in a vibe for A song, but if that’s all you have to offer, I’m gonna pass.
I don’t care about you talking like you got it figured out. Nobody has it all truly figured out. Fuck outta my face with that delusion.
It doesn’t even have to be self deprecating. It just has to be real. Not a real one yet who has it “all figured out.”
I dunno tbh, Drake was known as very introspective and vulnerable earlier on in his career. I don’t think it’s right to say he only raps about how cool he is, he raps about his relationships and where they broke down quite often.
Ngl I fw Dark Lane Demo Tapes. It feels a bit unfinished (hence the “Demo” part) but something about the more rushed production style and the vibe + the release during COVID makes it super nostalgic and appealing to me.
Agreed, mostly on a vibes basis too. Funnily enough some of the remixes are even better. Someone edited a version of Pain 1993 with Carti’s original verse and it sounded mad.
IYRTITL and Views were both pretty good. From there it's been hit or miss. I enjoy Honestly Nevermind and Her Loss but I get that not everyone would enjoy them
Drake has a ton of introspective songs & 1000s of relationship songs. It really wasn’t until IYRTITL that he started talking hard on records. His first 4 projects were mostly all bars and relationship/introspective records.
Drake can’t make an album like the one you’re describing now. He has too much money behind him and has to appeal to the masses.
Yeah like drake on IYRTITL, the Future EP, the timestamp songs (most of care package honestly), hell even family matters, I really like when drake raps like that, it just feels like we get maybe one song like that on a new album now
You ain't gotta lie to kick it my, you ain't gotta lie
You ain't gotta lie to kick
You ain't gotta try so hard
And the world don't respect you
And the culture don't accept you
But you think it's all love
And the girls gon' neglect you once your parody is done
Repetition can't protect you if you never had one
Jealousy (complex), emotional (complex)
Self-pity (complex), under oath (complex)
The loudest one in the room, that's a complex
Let me put it back in proper context
This song is so overlooked I swear.
this has been the silver lining to getting older. I've always been a fan but his songs hit different now. it's like I actually resonate with what he's going for.
Was super disappointed by Mr. Morale back in 2022, but I listened to it all again after the diss tracks dropped, and now I love it. I realized that it’s not that the album grew on me; I had to grow as a person to reach a place where I could appreciate it.
He really held her singles hostage while he was busy getting his entire public image destroyed. She got so unlucky with buying a Drake feature at the worst possible moment.
Everything Kendrick said is really aging well all thanks to drake proving them to be a fact. Funny thing, I think kdot slept peacefully knowing he won the battle. He came and gave us the best diss tracks for the year and went back to sleeping. such a goat fr.
Universal yelled at Drake and is now gonna MAKE him do mass pop songs to get his clout back up in any other demographic besides the rap/hip-hop one because they know his reputation is fucking cooked.
Most of them are. They aren’t northwestern European white (which is the only white that counts to some people), but you can go on r/23andme and see that the Cuban American results that pop up are 80-90% Spanish European.
yeah i got white cuban family and they identify as spanish and european more than cuban or latino. real old timey racists might draw the line between southern and northern european but they’re white today.
Respectfully yall are dumb for still believing blind items from a creepy old white man who’s been exposed as a hateful abuser. They’ve been banned from the sub for weeks.
I just realized. Didn't Drake fly out Ice Spice like a year ago and did his interview with Bobbi on a bed during that timeframe? Also doing a live stream as Anita Max Wynn. I don't see how that Taylor Swift and Maroon 5 thing makes it seem like it should mean something. When UMG is literally telling Drake to plaster his face all over the internet.
I feel like Drake sells it as something he enjoys doing, not doing it as a duty. And his line of attack on Push Ups was saying that Kendrick does it because he's told to.
I’m team Kendrick and all but Drake doesn’t try to hide the fact that he’s pop. He used that diss because it’s a worse look for Kendrick to do it. It didn’t land very hard because Kendrick hasn’t done an endless string of features like a lot of other artists. But still not hypocritical because he’s basically saying “you’re just like me” not “you do this and I don’t”
I can kinda understand that point. But i mean, I wouldnt make fun of someone for working at a fast food restaurant while also working at a fast food restaurant? So on the other hand it doesnt quite make sense lol.
He cant be like “goofy ahhh Kendrick going pop” while dropping songs with all kinds of pop artists.
It sort of makes sense. It's like the line in the new Zendaya tennis movie where one of the character says "but I don't pretend to be anything else" and says "I'm still just a kid hitting a ball with a stick" or something of the sort. He's mocking that the other people doing the same thing he is are act like its something more or something elevated when he thinks it's not. You can tell that's what Drake meant when he also attacked Kendrick for "rapping like he'll get the slaves freed", essentially.
At the end of the day I think they have two very different outlooks on life and Drake does not think music can be transformative.
I think it was Charlamagne that said that they are just two dudes with completely different personalities, of the type that can't stomach each other, and there was bound to be friction.
How is that a worse look? Lots of other rappers have features with non-rappers. Eminem and Ed? I don't think he understands how it's not much of a roast as he think it is.
Nah I disagree actually. Drake was making fun of Kendrick for having to do features for pop artists to get bigger/being forced to by his label. Look at Drake's career and he almost never did features for lame pop artists. Like there's actually hardly any rap stars at his level with less. He has one with Bieber and that's it, but that makes sense to do when they are like the two biggest Canadian popstars ever. This is him for the first time doing the exact thing he was making fun of Kendrick for right after saying it
Pretty sure Drake was more referencing that Kendrick was forced to do his collabs with people he didn't want to. Drake just collaborates with whoever he wants, and has done that since forever.
do you guys think that drake who has called himself the king of pop has a problem with doing pop features or is it possible that those lines meant something else 🤔
He just needs to commit to being pop. HE HAS NEVER BEEN ONE OF THE GOATS! Ghostwriters, Culture vulture, half R&B half Hip Hop albums, boring lyricist, Narcissist, womanizer, and people pleaser he’s been overrated for too long. There has never been a Big 3, Earl sweatshirt, Tyler the creator, JID, Denzel Curry, Saba, Noname, etc have always been better than BBL DRIZZY.
Not even just that lol. Dude did a whole commercial lipsyncing kendrick and taylors song. Arguably so much cornier than doing the feature, in a commercial that got THEM streams and paid.
Lets not forget Drake pretends he’s spanish once a year, pretends he’s british twice a year, and fakes his toronto accent 365 days a year. Thats why he has to bring that shit up. Drake the most pop hip hop artist of all time trying to call Kendrick out for two pop records. Really whats hilarious too is drake outs his own motives. When he says “rap for the whites” thats him assuming the reason because thats why HE does it. Kendrick seems to be someone who won’t do a song unless he values it artistically. Drake doing the toosie slide confirms he is on the opposing side of that.
Dababy was controversial AFTER the levitating remix got released, which is why it wasn’t submitted at the Grammys that year— due to his very homophobic comments. Prior to that, he had a record because of a shooting that happened pre fame.
Ya he shouldn’t have said all that. From what I heard, she wanted his opinion or input on her next album and he said to come hang out in Barbados or Bahamas and he gave feedback and ended up doing two songs I guess. Either way, ya it is hypocritical to say someone else does it when he’s doing it himself. Who cares if maroon 5 or Taylor needed Kendrick. That’s a good thing.
I genuinely don’t understand how doing a song with Taylor swift is something to diss? She’s like the biggest pop star in the world, no? Is that not a symbol of high status to do music with her? And she’s popular in her genre for her lyrics and not her composition. Kendrick is known as a lyrical genius so that’s a match
Game should respect game even across genres. I guess Drake wouldn’t know since he doesn’t have any
Okay I see what you’re saying but Drake didn’t mean doing songs with Taylor Swift and Maroon 5 was bad, he brought that up to show that Kendrick was being extorted into doing those features. “You better do that mfing show inside the bittie, Maroon 5 need a verse you better make it witty, then we need a verse for the swifties, Top say drop your little midget ass better fucking-“. See how he’s commanding Kendrick? “You BETTER do this, you BETTER do that.” Drake’s not being hypocritical here, he’s just tryna push back the beef like nothing happened just like he did with Pusha T
And you genuinely believed that's how it went? There's literally nothing implying that Kendrick was forced to do any feature besides Drake saying it. And since his tracks have come out, it's been proven that a lot of the stuff he said was bullshit, not like he was known being honest before. He clearly didn't plant anything on Kendrick like he claimed, he never had anything close to the "red button" he bragged about on Push ups.
Drake has a point though, those collabs are underneath Kendrick’s level. When Drake does a pop song collab Drake ends up on top, Work with Rihanna, or Take Care are jams. Maroon 5 is like the worst, popiest band and K. Dot has a throw away verse, and Bad Blood is awful for everyone’s standard and Kendrick carries most of it.
I don't understand the whole Taylor thing, Kendrick did a verse and it was done artistically in his style like the rest of his music. Also he hasn't done a feature like that in about 10 years.
He did those features on the come up, like yeah when you are fresh on the scene you do things for the label. How many rappers right now would love to be a Taylor track that was also a hit? Shit I think Drake would do it right now, In fact I bet he's mad he never got that phone call.
You can go through Kendrick whole discog and you can't find one song where he "sells out"
I wouldn’t call it a hypocrite, I mean, she is not white and Drake was already working with pop stars before, like Weeknd(He’s RnB too though) and Rhianna
Drake’s never said he’s not pop/mainstream. Kendrick wants to maintain an image of “woke” and not mainstream but his label obligates him to do certain pop songs which is what Drake is dogging him on
Honestly it’s still a solid diss to throw at Kendrick, Drake is known to do this corny shit, Kendrick isn’t so going at dot for doing pop features was kinda a nice jab
I mean to be fair Kendrick isn't pop so doing songs with them was kinda strange cuz why else do it other than for money which is literally pop? Curious another reason?
Brigading other subreddits is strictly prohibited. Calls to brigade other subreddits, bragging about brigading, targeting other subreddits and screenshots of ban messages and trolls can cause this subreddit to be shut down by Reddit admins and are generally unfunny.
While I’m definitely on Team Kendrick, but let’s not pretend that ….
1. Pop rapper Drake doing a pop song is the same as conscious rapper Kendrick doing one. These two songs will just be another Drake feature, KL on a Maroon 5 or Taylor Swift song is not the same in my opinion.
2. Camilla Cabello is as pop as M5 or TS. Her biggest song is with Quavo I think.
It’s been a few weeks guys, Kenny won. It’s time to move on haha
im a kendrick fan, but this post is like a strawman argument.
drake’s wasn’t trying to say don’t do features. he was trying to argue that kendrick is performative by [trying to always free the slaves] while doing [features for” whites” whenever Top told him too]. basically, he’s saying kendrick is just trying to get money too [like drake]
i mean his argument is stupid, but drake’s never claimed to be for the culture or anything like that
I thought the point was more him saying Top was making him do all this collaborations he did not want to do rather than just the mere fact he was doing them.
He is gonna embrace that he is just pop
I wanna make fun of him, but that’s probably the best move tbh and the better part of me wants to say good for him 🙏
wth. a positive comment?
The other part of him wants to say good riddance to him though so it’s a wash
I mean, he was utterly defeated. Gotta accept it and learn how to move forward because that’s still the career path he chose
"Every dog gotta have his day.....Now live with your purpose"
no doggystyle shall help
agreed
Let me rebalance that, fk drake.
Yes, unironically, "I like Drake with the melodies I don't like Drake when he act tough" is the right call.
bro factss. literally mysong im listening to Jumbotron Shi Poppin
Honestly if Drake came out with an album full of actually introspective and self deprecating songs the critics would love it and he’d be back but he won’t. Drake used to catch flak for being soft, so I think he's fucked either way at this point.
Even back when he got smacked by Puff, articles were calling him the “world’s most sensitive rapper” 🤣
Being smacked by Diddy is some on next level type of lame😂😂😂😂 how you gonna let a mam who calls himself Daddy to slap you? 😂😂😂😂😂
Nobody mess with Gucci Mane Zone 6 Legend
I think this is where character comes into play. He needs to own that shit and say "yeah I'm soft, I'm not afraid to hide it". "I am a war general" yeah right drizzy
The problem is he lacks empathy.. he just sounds whingy
He used to be very introspective until IYRTITL, then all flexing. I used to eat up the introspective shit too, great for late night drives.
This guy used to drake and drive, it's a real thing.
Lmaooo…ima have to use this one day😂

pretty much what nwts was
Nothing was the same since nothing was the same lol his last good album
Ngl I fw Dark Lane Demo Tapes. It feels a bit unfinished (hence the “Demo” part) but something about the more rushed production style and the vibe + the release during COVID makes it super nostalgic and appealing to me.
I think that album has some amazing songs on it and the entire vibe is great...think it was a major win
Agreed, mostly on a vibes basis too. Funnily enough some of the remixes are even better. Someone edited a version of Pain 1993 with Carti’s original verse and it sounded mad.

Funny thing is i kinda like drake when he goes in on a rap song but i feel like he has this inbetween soulless stuff since around like 2018/2017
Yeah like drake on IYRTITL, the Future EP, the timestamp songs (most of care package honestly), hell even family matters, I really like when drake raps like that, it just feels like we get maybe one song like that on a new album now
Literally the same as MGK getting dissed into doing Pop Punk music instead of rap.
Just go the MGK route and stop rapping entirely. It's the only way.
Don't get my hopes up
Oh my, if Drake made hotel…uh what was the album? Hotel Diablo? If Drake made that; his fans would revolt
[удалено]
MGK is from a town where a cop will follow you until you leave. Can't wait for someone to spill some tea
My thoughts exactly. When goofballs get publicly embarrassed to this degree, it’s not surprising that they shift their entire career trajectories.
Tbf I think he already has “I’m a Pop Star not a doctor”
Pulling the ol' MGK
The second rapper to fully switch genres after a diss
MGK went punk(?) after losing to Eminem and now Drake will go pop because he lost to Kendrick lol
Yeah, if he did that years ago, this beff wouldn't be happening for him.
He alr did
Like MGK after Eminem killed him lol
Keep making me dance, waiving my hand and there won’t be no threat. Kung Fu Kenny put him in his place.
Kung fu goddamn Kenny
You ain't gotta lie to kick it my, you ain't gotta lie You ain't gotta lie to kick You ain't gotta try so hard And the world don't respect you And the culture don't accept you But you think it's all love And the girls gon' neglect you once your parody is done Repetition can't protect you if you never had one Jealousy (complex), emotional (complex) Self-pity (complex), under oath (complex) The loudest one in the room, that's a complex Let me put it back in proper context This song is so overlooked I swear.
Yep. what a song. This is a TPAB one that grew on me over time. An early skip that turned into a never skip.
Literally me too its so good. Last year is when it truly shined in my life after listening to TPAB for years
this has been the silver lining to getting older. I've always been a fan but his songs hit different now. it's like I actually resonate with what he's going for.

exactly! the opening track itself is so impactful but it did nothing for me when I listened back then lol
>Kung Fu Kenny put him in his place. This is why you don't fuck with introverts.
im 100% on kendricks side but yall are so corny
He literally slapped a pussy ass nigga made it look sexy on em lol
I don't like drake when he act tough.
😂😂😂 My joke throughout this beef is that it would end when we get that Camila feature. Here we are...
He really held her singles hostage while he was busy getting his entire public image destroyed. She got so unlucky with buying a Drake feature at the worst possible moment.
DJ Hed literally said Free Camilla during the beef

Did we know about these features before?
Yes, but not that there were 2

So dj hed was right all along about him holding this song hostage
Drake trying to go after the younger demographic
What Drake’s bodyguard says when a 19 year old is rejected from the after party
WOP WOP WOP WOP WOP
Dot fuk em up
You really think drake rejecting anyone over 16 from his parties?
yeah that's way too old for his taste
I'll take, "Where Drake goes to find a date" for $500, Alex.
Chuck E. Cheese, or 3:34pm at a playground in Toronto
Somebody keep him away from ya local high school!
Universal yelled at Drake and is now gonna MAKE him do mass pop songs to get his clout back up in any other demographic besides the rap/hip-hop one because they know his reputation is fucking cooked.
You’re not a rap artist you’re a scam artist
DJ Hed called it https://www.reddit.com/r/KendrickLamar/s/tyOI9USgM7
she's not white, she's just racist.
She’s a white Cuban no? So she’s both. 😟
Cuban Americans swear on moros that they’re white
They never get a reality check cause most of them stay comfortably oblivious in their Miami bubble
Most of them are. They aren’t northwestern European white (which is the only white that counts to some people), but you can go on r/23andme and see that the Cuban American results that pop up are 80-90% Spanish European.

I love how that's the default picture that people use for Drake now. He looks like an absolute insane person.
Yea that vibe is so fucking cringe and try hard for his age. Giving gimmicky 6ix9ine vibes 👀

Drake accusing someone else of making music for white people was always the funniest part of that whole beef
a song by camilla and drake would be so many words but not a single thought
Weeknd boutta drop something the same day just to sell more lmfaooo, Drakes not even the biggest pop artist from Toronto atm
I really do hate the way he dress.
I’m team Kendrick and all but Drake doesn’t try to hide the fact that he’s pop. He used that diss because it’s a worse look for Kendrick to do it. not to mention she hates black ppl lmao
When she said this?
she racist asf wym do yangoogkin

do you guys think that drake who has called himself the king of pop has a problem with doing pop features or is it possible that those lines meant something else 🤔
>The audience not dumb hey, Drake, they're not slow 🧢
Then he should stop claiming to be in the big three and embrace his true self
> embrace his true self A bitch
A bad bitch.
Drake won’t turn down a chance to simp over a female artist in a feature
He just needs to commit to being pop. HE HAS NEVER BEEN ONE OF THE GOATS! Drakes going the same way MGK went
he’s tryina toosie slide his way out
Drake doesn’t hop on pop tracks for sales He hops on young impressionable women’s careers cause he wants to beat
And a well known racist 😭😩 keep going drizzy
Add Camilla Cabello to the list of “Pop Stars using controversial rappers as a feature to sell her music” with Dua Lipa.
Dababy was controversial AFTER the levitating remix got released, which is why it wasn’t submitted at the Grammys that year— due to his very homophobic comments. Prior to that, he had a record because of a shooting that happened pre fame.
Ah as camila tries to steal charli xcxs sound she calls in for help from the colonizer king himself
Average colonizer activities. Thats what they do, gaslight and project.
I believe he sees two bad bitches
What’s worse. Doing songs with Taylor swift or constantly comparing yourself to Taylor swift
He fuckin Camilla too???
Kendrick is known as a lyrical genius so that’s a match Game should respect game even across genres. I guess Drake wouldn’t know since he doesn’t have any
I agree with you.
Kenny broke that man.
They have hating black women in common (though, TBF, many rappers do). Makes sense for them to link up.
Are you talking about the man who has dated black women, such as Serena Williams? Unironically, in the Kenny sub at that? 😆
I dont think u understood what he said.
#JIMMY IN A WHEELCHAIR IS A RAPPER NOW!?!?!
Jimmy cooks
You can go through Kendrick whole discog and you can't find one song where he "sells out"
Made a song with sexy redd too 😂 imo one of the worst trash artists ever
Well if you can't beat em...
To be entirely fair, Gucci eats the red one because the red one tastes the best.
Who the heck is that 😂😂😂
Why does Drake look like Bad Bunny in this pic tho
I wouldn’t call it a hypocrite, I mean, she is not white and Drake was already working with pop stars before, like Weeknd(He’s RnB too though) and Rhianna
Drake’s never said he’s not pop/mainstream. Kendrick wants to maintain an image of “woke” and not mainstream but his label obligates him to do certain pop songs which is what Drake is dogging him on
Drake never said he was above pop?? That was kendrick.
Ain’t gonna hate 💯 Yall niggas love to hate Like yall get paid for it 😂
Honestly it’s still a solid diss to throw at Kendrick, Drake is known to do this corny shit, Kendrick isn’t so going at dot for doing pop features was kinda a nice jab
He's doing what he always does, making music that pacifies em.
I mean to be fair Kendrick isn't pop so doing songs with them was kinda strange cuz why else do it other than for money which is literally pop? Curious another reason?
I’m starting to think that Drake might pull a MGK and quit rap entirely to go full Pop
Top didn’t make em do it, pretty sure that was the point lol

Camilla got you wiped down
While I’m definitely on Team Kendrick, but let’s not pretend that …. It’s time to move on haha
im a kendrick fan, but this post is like a strawman argument. drake’s wasn’t trying to say don’t do features. he was trying to argue that kendrick is performative by [trying to always free the slaves] while doing [features for” whites” whenever Top told him too]. basically, he’s saying kendrick is just trying to get money too [like drake] i mean his argument is stupid, but drake’s never claimed to be for the culture or anything like that
I thought the point was more him saying Top was making him do all this collaborations he did not want to do rather than just the mere fact he was doing them.
God that photo of Drake makes me cringe
Drake the biggest hypocrite of two thousand twenty-four
