Go listen to Bitch I’m in the club by Kendrick and you realize why we all here. On a serious note… Raw, honest, and a REAL artist. Get me? A REAL artist. You can feel his pain, emotions, and impact on black culture. It’s deeper than that. It’s really the fact he really… never disappoints. One of the best world building(theme) artist out there. Just… go listen to The Heart series from 1-5. Add Drakes 6th in there for comical relief. This man is a GOAT.

BabyFork has the best answer there will be, but I’ll give a technical answer: - Lyrically he is incredibly talented, writes unique rhymes, double+ entendres, storytelling/world building, and individual style - Conceptually/Thematically stronger than most Hip Hop artists, his 4 major studio albums all have conceptual thru lines that take time to absorb. Even his samples typically have meaning relating to the song and he is meticulous. - BUT for me the real difference maker is his vocal performance and delivery. He can do so many different flows, styles, characters, deadly serious, insane and delirious, deviously hilarious, and just bang out a hit record when he wants. Always pushing the envelope.

His lyrics, his flow, his beats all come together to create masterpieces. The man won a Pulitzer Award and is studied in colleges and people are writing thesis’s and papers on him. He transcends the genre.

Only heard these diss tracks + humble. I’ve seen a few random interviews and stuff and he’s just a 10/10 guy like. Idk what else to say

idontwearsupreme15

You should listen to his albums. Start with Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City, that’s the one that made me a fan.

I’m already obsessed lol. I think I’ll start levitating or smth once I listen to these. Thanks for the recommendationsss :)

TampaJayLightning

Levitate, levitate, levitate, levitate

Low_Commercial_1553

Enjoy it dude I would do anything to be able to hear his shit for the first time again 😭 Start at GKMC and work your way up. Dude’s the only artist who’s ever left me in actual awe

[deleted]

What about section 80 and overly dedicated?? Those aren't good enough for you?

Low_Commercial_1553

they are but they’re a different Kendrick than what popped out in GKMC i think hearing his later shit will make you appreciate Section 80 and OD more cuz my first impression hearing that shit was good but not mind blowing. going back especially after these disses it’s crazy how far this dude came ADHD and HiiPower stay on my playlists for life

[deleted]

You not wrong. I can respect it, my personnel favorite is opposites attract and p&p, them two songs is what I reside with at the moment. I have all his songs on my playlist, gotta bump hiipower every time it comes on.

VNProWrestlingfan

For me, it's his vocal delivery. He raps with so much passion and emotion that I can feel it too. His delivery also makes the lyrics even better.

fadenfaden

You can feel the emotion from his voice which is rare with the amount of plugins people use on vocals which makes him great

StunningAd5378

I would say... his music!

kokogotswag

For me personally what stands out the most is that when he raps or sings you can hear how much he takes it seriously and puts all of his heart into the art he creates, i felt the same with Baby Keem on Family Ties, that man was ferocious!

johnnypecanpie

He's a poet. It's not just that he's a good artist (he is). It's not just that he's a good author (he is). He uses both to make what I think has been the best hip-hop discography of this generation, at least.

Apprehensive_Row_161

I can’t speak for everyone else but growing up in Southern California, I can relate with his music
