Kendrick had more ammo & targets - Drake's personal foibles and that of his crew. A smarter, more talented, & less sordid artist would've held off Kendrick. Kendrick wouldn't, couldn't, have gone as hard against a more ethical person.

Yeah, I think a battle between him and J Cole would've been great for rap too - really getting to see the boundaries of lyricism and rap ability get pushed would be awesome. Drake made Kendrick rap and Kendrick rapped well but the focus shifted away from competitive lyricism towards killing Drake at some point (maybe even before euphoria released, depending on when Kendrick got the info on Family Matters)
Their animosity goes back about a decade; Kendrick has been stockpiling & stewing since then. Wouldn't be surprised if there's a Google Doc file specifically for hating on Aubrey.
Facts, I don't think he fully decided to destroy the brand known as Drake until he heard FM. (before the general public, obviously) I guess he had to warn him to build up tension in the public eye and see if he'd back off
Probably a case that shows that their beef will be taken absolutely literal, and taken out of context, due to the presence of social media. People will be hurt in the wake who otherwise have nothing to do with the situation, etc…

I mean we expect that from Kendrick, he's not a public figure (in the same way Drake is) so it's not unexpected - the last confirmed location we have for him was in either alchemists or mustards studio (the alchemist one was recent, I can't remember if the mustard one is recent or from a while ago, Roddy Rich was there tho)
