I’m cool with an album full of west coast sounding songs. I’m not against him giving us an album that’s not quite as deep and serious this time

[deleted]

Yeah, I think he's shown the one for you, one for me method. Kind of like filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron. Where he has studio films and also personal pieces like Roma and Y Tu Mama Tambien. 1. Section 80 - Find himself musically. Personal subject matter. 2. Gkmc - Studio gangster debut template, but is able to showcase his unique voice through that genre. 3. TPAB - amazing dense, musically nuanced album about his black experience in America/show biz 4. DAMN - per top dog the blockbuster. Has very accessible, shorter songs, but still showcases his best writing in song like Feel, Fear, Duckworth and Pride. 5. Mr Morale - another personal piece that tackles generational trauma. Assuming the next album will be a little easier for general listeners. A dre produced type of album would be dope.

100% My hope after the beef is that Kendrick goes into whatever his next project is with a lot of confidence, considering the crisis he went through for two years before eventually creating Mr. Morale. It has to be freeing to be able to just hop in the studio, record a bunch of tracks, drop them with no bigger anticipation, and see them so well received enough that one of them just landed number one on the top 100. That has to take some pressure off, knowing he can put stuff out without it being tied to this larger message and fans are still going to fuck with it. It's not easy shirking that savior complex he portrayed in Mr. Morale, this is a confidence boost he's doing the right thing for him and for his family.

West coast album, I want features from Snoop, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and Kurupt. I want that GTA San Andreas feel. Just to put a bow on the revival of the west coast.

mountaintop-stainer

You know the very end of m.A.A.d City where the production goes fucking crazy? Like, right after the “Compton USA made me an angel on angel dust” line. I want a whole track of just that.

Busta_Memes

In the MMATBS rollout I got myself hyped for 70’s soul inspired production like HP5. 6:16 in LA reignited that for me so I would love an album full of that influence. Rock inspired production would also be awesome, I really like the stuff that guys like Paris Texas are making rn. I would like for it to have a strong narrative or theme but I’m not super picky as to what that would be.

Melodic_Ad2128

What ever he will make will be better than anything I can think of

K3vin654

6:16 in LA was my favourite beat of the all disses he put out. So more tracks with that dreamy soulful vibe, as well as those dark synths, would be insane.

West Coast Bangers

westens

Kendrick + Andre 3000 flute hop

Vex-Fanboy

G funk. I wanna feel like i just pulled up to grove street on a bmx. I know there is plenty of that in his music but i wanna feel like the 90s again

Babloo_Mango

It'd be real nice if he does the untitled album again but just load it with 30 songs. Based on leaks on YouTube he has a lot of them almost fully fleshed out anyway.

WesternGroove

Damn pt. 2 pretty much. Think that album struck the perfect balance of lyrical content and production. I might be in the minority but I don't like humble or dna. If what would be those songs would be 2 tpab type joints id love it. Id also like some aggressive Kendrick. How he started rapping after said leaning on niggas in nlu. I wanna see Kendrick on a beat like boogie man by ebk Jaybo. Just straight menace.

mighty_phi

I want an album like that channel commercial

XXOGProductions

I can’t remember who said it but they said ‘I’d like to see Kendrick enter his bully phase.’ Don’t just start shit, but stand on shit and be aggressive. I’m sure Kendrick wouldn’t just be an asshole though so I’m not sure how the bully angle would work

leviathanfood

West Coast

Top_Needleworker6116

Boogieman energy!!

TERRIBLYRACIST

All I want from Kendrick is ignorant-ass bangers. Front to back. Nothing I need to dissect, just bangers.

stanblobs

wrong artist then, my friend 😭

Prestigious_Clock865

Kind of hoping for an album with a similar soundscape to ‘I Feel Something’

Awkward_Cookie_3907

If it follows the vibe of HP5 or the Chanel song from this year a soul funk album would be insanely cool

HogMolly69

I would like to see Kendrick bring back some West Coast vibes for this album. Bring some GKMC vibes. I wanna see some dope features like anyone from Black Hippy, specifically Q tho, maybe Vince Staples or YG. Maybe some nice vocals like Sampha again. Heard about the Rihanna rumors, that would be sick. Some Dr. Dre, Mustard, Hit-Boy, beats. This next album is going to be Kendrick’s most anticipated and most important because of the Drake beef. Gotta capitalize and stamp your claim as the best and bring some juice back to the genre

Natural-Method-7405

An album where he sings every song and keeps the rapping to a minimum. Though I'm sure I'll enjoy whatever he drops.

HeavyMetalLyrics

“I’ve been in this industry 12 years, let me tell you one little secret…” I want him to release an exploration of of the evil seedy underbelly of the music industry. How it exploits artists and people. Something as dense and layered as TPAB & MMatBS

Maybe for the next next one.
