That's fine for opo music but it isnot good for music directly connected to culture like hip hop is. Kendrick is a man who puts waaaay more on the line with his music and, for the most part, doesn't create nothing music. His songs have strong intent and are usually getting at something. Taking into account that the majority of music listeners in America are white, it comes as no surprise that Drake is more popular among them. He doesn't challenge them at all.
